I know all of my posts are about my second born, but that's pretty much our life right now. So...
Our little chunk is weighing in at a whopping 4 lbs 13 ounces. Within the next few days, he should be hitting the 5 lb mark. Yay! And... he has started taking a bottle. He is nippling 2 feedings a day. He can come home when he can nipple feed ALL of his feedings. He gets the rest of his feedings through a feeding tube. They use my breast milk and they fortify it with formula to give him extra calories. Pumping every 3 hours sucks. But I know it's good for him. I just can't wait until I can nurse him, and don't have to milk myself with the Medela. He just doesn't have enough strength yet. Believe me... it's WAY easier to wake up to a crying baby at night to feed than set an alarm to pump.
Bummer... he's back on oxygen. But that's okay. He can come home on oxygen if he needs to. And it's a really low %, so I'm not even mad about it.And look at that freaking double chin. I love it.The bags under my eyes are awesome.
I hear under eye bags are the new black.
My little boy is so sweet.
Burke and Grandma Lovell. She graciously flew out here from California for the 2nd time in 5 weeks to watch a certain almost 3-year-old for us while we take our CPR class and other mandatory things before we can take Burke home.
Hopefully only a couple more weeks. *sigh*

Everybody is looking great! You know your mom is so happy to come and help you! She loves it. What a great Mom/Grandma. Burke is so cute! Has Brett been able to see his tiny little bro?
Adorable double chin...Love it!!
He is just so sweet. And I happen to think you're starting a new trend with the bags under you're eyes.
He's looking great! Congrats on the improvements!
Burke looks SO MUCH BIGGER in these pictures! He actually looks like a normal size newborn in the picture of him and your mom.
"Just cute.....your baby is chubby!"
Oh Shar! I am diggin the double chin! Congratulations on little Burke growing so well!
Awe, he is doing so well! Those are great pictures!! You are amazing!!
fatty fatty two by four...I am so happy he is getting bigger. And you couldn't look bad even if you tried!
Your amazing! I doubt I would have pumped! Only the baby crying gets me up at all :) Keep it up! Your doing great!
Yay! Such great news. Can't wait until he gets to go home with you.
p.s. With Ella I pumped exclusively for 5 months! Yes you read that right...it was miserable and I felt like the Dairy Queen! :) So I totally feel your pain.
I will commiserate with you on pumping. I pumped every day of my Nub's life until he turned 8 months old and I realized that most people didn't have to do that junk.
He looks great, I can't wait till you take him home!
I didn't know you've been pumping all this time. Takes some dedication for sure. Pumping is so glamorous isn't it.
We are always thinking about you! Glad to see that he is progressing. He is darling! I can't wait to see him!
Congratulations! That is so exciting to see his homecoming in the near near future! He reminds me of Nate! You guys are awesome. P.S. I weighed 5 lbs. when I was born. He's pretty dang close!!
Oh, I feel your pain with the pumping every 3 hours and empathize big time, 2 1/2 months of it with the first and I haven't pumped a bottle since! He looks great. Hang in there!
Yay! He seems to be doing great! I can't wait until you guys can bring him home! You look beautiful!!
Sharon - you are such an example to me. I love how you still have your humor through the hard times and you're so optimistic. Burke looks like a strong little stud, ready to take on the world! I hope you're able to bring him home soon. We're sending lots of love and prayers... :)
I am so glad to hear under eye bags are in, because I am right there with you sistah! So Brogan asked the other day if we were going to lunch with Brett. We will have to get together again soon. Little Burke is looking more and more like Nathan. Cute little stinker!
I hope you can all go home together soon! Love you Shar. He is just so adorable!
