Foggy Dew, Toronto, ON

I had lunch today the Foggy Dew (on King Street W at Niagara Street) ... it's been a while since I've been there.

It was sunny and warm so I sat on the patio.

It seemed like a smaller menu than in the past ... maybe because today is a holiday?  I ordered a Crunchy Fried Chicken sandwich (minus the slaw) and fries.  It was a good meal.  I'm not a big fan of fries but these were really really good.  The sandwich had a lot of chicken.

David was my server.  He was friendly and chatty.

Gord and I walked to the Foggy Dew (on King Street W at Niagara Street) for the supper this evening.  It was sunny and warm so we sat on the patio.

Gord ordered wings with dry spice.  He said they were okay.  They were a bit overcooked, just the way he likes them.  He also ordered a side spinach salad which he said was delicious.

Foggy Dew, Toronto, ON

Gord and I met my pal, Liz, and her beau, Jamie, for supper tonight at the Foggy Dew (King W/Niagara).

Liz and I worked together back in the mid to late nineties.  Liz and Jamie have been together for about a year and it was the first time we've met him (usually it's just the girls who get together).

The pub was fairly busy and we grabbed a table in the corner.

Jamie and Liz order the Cottage Pie (slow cooked Angus beef with peas and carrots in a rich Guinness and fresh herb gravy, topped with sweet potato mash and served with a house salad).  They both said it was delicious!

Foggy Dew, Toronto, ON

It was 24C and sunny today ... hard to believe it's the second day of spring!

Gord and I couldn't resist walking to the Foggy Dew and having supper on their patio.

Gord had the Donegal Bay Dagwood. He said it was okay but wasn't crazy about the Dijon mustard on it.

I had a burger and fries. It was okay, not great. The burger was kind of dry and the bun didn't seem very fresh.

I'm not a fan of their food anyway but it's a great patio to watch the world go by while enjoying a couple drinks.

Tayler was our server and took good care of us.

And here we are. The patio is shaped like an "L" and we were able to grab the table in the corner which was a great spot to enjoy some sun for a while.

The Foggy Dew is on the ground level of a condo building.

Lots of people had the same idea we did ... all the tables were occupied on the patio (and empty inside). We hadn't even gotten across the street heading for home and our table taken.

Foggy Dew, Toronto, ON

Gord and I had lunch today at the Foggy Dew (King W/Niagara).

It was fairly busy there ... not a big surprise considering it is the Friday before New Years Eve at lunchtime.

It's been almost a year since I was last there. Gord sometimes stops on his way home for a pint or two after work on Fridays.

We both ordered Beer Battered Fish & Chips (cold water caught Cape Capensis, chemical free white fish filet in Kilkenny Cream Ale batter served with fresh hand cut fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce).

I got mine without the coleslaw and tartar sauce.

It was good and filling.

Foggy Dew, Toronto, ON

I taught PowerPoint Pizzazz this morning and Outlook this afternoon.

It was a gorgeous day ... sunny and 29C.

Gord called and convinced me to meet him at the patio of the Foggy Dew (I did put up a fight!).

Keith's were 2 for $6 until 7:00. My fav!

The patio was packed! This is just our corner!

Foggy Dew, Toronto, ON

It was such a nice evening that Gord and I stopped off on the patio of the Foggy Dew for a pint or two of Keith's and Keith's Red.

Yes, it was a bit chilly but the sun was shining ... and that's all we needed!

Foggy Dew, Toronto, ON

With good intentions, Gord and I walked home after work and were planning on going to the gym.

But how could we resist experiencing the first patio of the season at the Foggy Dew?
