Olive You

On this visit to Port Townsend we found a brand new shop, an olive oil and vinegar tasting bar called the Lively Olive.  It was awesome.

Each white crock has balsamic vinegar and the stainless steel vats have the olive oils.  Beside each container was a small bottle containing  either oil or vinegar, and a small plastic cup for the tasting.

The shop was beautiful.  Brand new, brightly lit, with a helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff.
There were three sizes of bottles to fill and they were beautiful.  I couldn't decide on an olive oil, but I did buy two bottles of vingar, one for myself and one for my best friend.  I can't wait to try mine.
They don't have much of a website yet, but if you're interested - and you should be - you can find them at 929 Water Street.

This is my idea of "doing shots".

They could have named that shop "Salena Bait". Yum.

How wonderful. I've seen a tea shop in Albuquerque that reminds me of their set up (with the upstairs, etc.)

You could do another roundup for the Guardian: way cool little stores I never would have found without a truck.

Incidentally: great headline.
