Beyond Restoration?

This boat, one of the ones we came across in a boatyard in Port Townsend, looked as if it were pulled from the bottom of the sea.  Covered in mud and barnacles, paint peeling, damaged areas, rust.  

There were a few people who looked as if they were familiar with the boat walking around taking photos of it.  I wondered if they were the owners.

I'm even more curious what they have planned for it.

Can this boat be restored and used ever again?
