    • The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) faces anti-incumbency while the Congress aims to regain its footing in Delhi. Despite internal differences, Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav has been given the green light to challenge AAP. The party plans a month-long yatra to reconnect with voters, aiming for a comeback in the 2025 elections.

      The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is investigating a tail strike incident involving an IndiGo A321 aircraft on September 9. The aircraft, which was operating a flight from Delhi to Bengaluru, has been grounded in Bangalore for maintenance. The flight crew has been derostered pending the investigation, and the plane will return to service after necessary repairs.

      Delhi is set to have its third woman chief minister as AAP leader Atishi will succeed Arvind Kejriwal. Atishi, who holds multiple portfolios in the Delhi Cabinet, will be the youngest to assume this role. The AAP legislators unanimously supported her appointment, and a delegation will meet Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena to stake claim for forming the new government.

      The University of Melbourne has launched its first centre in Delhi, named the Melbourne Global Centre, to promote its educational offerings and foster collaboration between India and the university. This hub will not function as a teaching centre or offshore campus but will serve as a central point for showcasing the university’s research, educational programs, and community engagement initiatives. It will also host cultural events, art exhibitions, and lecture series.

      Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is set to meet Lt Governor VK Saxena at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, where he is expected to tender his resignation. This follows his statement that he would resign within 48 hours and seek early polls in Delhi. Kejriwal emphasised he would only serve as chief minister if deemed honest by the public.
