Thee Majesty

Thee_Majesty.jpg (5 KB)
Originally a spoken word/sparse noise project formed by Genesis P-Orridge (Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV) and Bryin Dall (4th Sign of the Apocalypse, Loretta's Doll, A Murder of Angels, Of Unknown Origin, Dream Into Dust) in 1998. The group was later joined by Larry Thrasher for live shows and some recordings, followed in 2004 by PTV III members Lady Jaye P-Orridge and Morrison Edley (Toilet Boys). Thee Majesty remains a vehicle for GPO's semi-freeform rants and concepts, supported by Dall's guitar and sample soundscapes, sometimes augmented by some combination of the others.

(A spoken world revelation)
As recorded by Thee Majesty

"Thee text ov 'A Hollow Cost' began as a spoken word (world) routine in 1979 in England and has gone through many permutations and infestations since that T.I.M.E. For a long T.I.M.E. thee writing was referred to as "THEE THROTTLE" and was first published as such in RADIUM 226.05 Magazine, Stockholm, Sweden in their Spring 1986 issue. Another, expanded version was published in thee first and subsequent editions ov 'ESOTERRORIST', an anthology of texts and collages by Genesis Breyer P-Orridge edited by Tom Hallewell in Denver, Colorado, U.S.A. in 1989. Since then it has been uploaded on countless websites unofficially. This CD re-release is thee only official artifact and has been digitally re-mastered under thee supervision ov thee author. Accept no substitutes or previous copies ov this remarkable recording. Let thee invisible remain invisible and support thee writer and musicians ov THEE MAJESTY and this ongoing series ov unique, radically hybridized and influential spoken worlds."

Limited to 1000 deluxe copies printed with vegetable based inks on recycled custom folders in a cardboard box with a 6-page booklet.

All thee vocals and lyrics are culled from a sequence ov live performance improvisation by Thee Majesty including Centre Culture John Lennon, Limoges, France, March 2002. Baba Larriji supplied actual tabla.

Feel Strange was created entirely from a recorded vocal loop ov Genesis Breyer P-Orridge. No other sound source was used for this piece.

Bryin Dall created these finished pieces ov expanded poetry and recorded all music and sounds in Waxy Yellow Buildup Studio, New York, September through December 2006.

Thee Land Ov Do Do is a recording found in thee P-Orridge With Everything Achives of a story told to Genesis's two daughter's Caresse and Genesse circa 1987. Each night thee children would ask for a story, as children do. Genesis developed a set ov characters who all lived in thee Land Ov Do Do. This is just one ov those improvised stories. It ended up being recorded as part ov a set so that on thee rare occassions when Genesis could not be there in person to talk them to sleep their baby-sitter could play them thee tapes. Inevitably thee sound quality ov Genesis' voice had decayed and there was hiss as it is from an analogue cassette. Bryin Dall treated thee voice and added his own combination ov sound and effects.

There is a hidden bonus track. To listen to this you have to search backwards after you have put the CD in your player. It is in the minus area before track 1.
Unfortunately this wasn't ripped.
