Photo Scavenger Hunt - April 2013

Good morning

Hurrah - am handing my homework in on time this month!!

 Six - cannons on the clifftop at Southwold

 Big - the size of big sons converse now compared to those he wore as a baby.

 City - the hedge in the back garden - like a city of wildlife - so many birds nesting in there now along with other wildlife at the bottom - awaiting the first sighting of a grass snake this year.

 Collection - my printers tray holds a collection of little things.

 Curl - my friends sons hair - just wonderful.

 Dinner - a family favourite - chicken pasties, roast potatoes and veggies smothered in gravy.

 Nightlight - my bunny light on my bedside table.

 Pink - something flowering in the garden - no idea what it is though!!

 Plastic - my Fisher Price school house - a birthday pressie when I was 6 and something I loved so much I've never been able to part with it.

 Sport - just part of the household collection of badminton racquet's - there's another pair somewhere - probably hiding in the boys rooms!

 Takeoff - a Ladybird book of aircraft.

Texture - the wood on the summerhouse.

Photo Scavenger Hunt 2013 - March

Good afternoon

I know two posts in one day! Well to be honest I am too tired to even think about what I should be doing (hoovering) so instead I've opted for a cuppa and computer session! Hoovering can wait till tomorrow.

Here are my efforts for the Photo Scavenger Hunt for March - bear in mind non-UK visitors - the weather has been utter pants here and the light dismal. Not as many outside shots as I'd like.

 Bridge - taken from inside our town museum on a very snowy day - the foot bridge which links the park to some nearby houses.

 Three - easy one - me & my boys.

 Dessert - pudding at a birthday meal at the beginning of the month.

 Bubbles - snapped from the TV at the end of Sunday's Boat Race - this year it was the dark blues of Oxford who were victorious.

 Empty - a rare sight - the dirty laundry bin completely empty!! Doesn't happen often!

 Gate - at the side of my house.

 Eggs - decorating the top of my birthday cake.

 Toys - the pre-move sort out continues - these wooden vehicles belonged to the boys when they were much smaller.

 Shoes - well boots actually - my new ones for Morris Dancing in - they get their debut dance out this coming weekend!!

 Person in uniform - Little Son at the first brass engagement of the year.

 Water - coming from a running tap - something we all take for granted in the developed world.

Green - the grass when it began to reappear from under its snowy blanket. Its recovered nicely and now is awaiting its first cut of the season!

Quite glad to finally hand these in! The new list for April is;

Photo Scavenger Hunt 2013 - February

Good afternoon

What a short month February is - the days have passed so quickly and I was in danger of not completing this months hunt - however I've snapped the last few pictures today  - not 100% happy with all of them but hey its the taking part that counts!

 

Breakfast - just before I put my bulky shopping order away - this lot should see the 3 of us through breakfasts for the next couple of weeks!

 

 14 - Chocolate hearts for the boys on Valentines Day.

 Park Bench - well the bench in the garden that bottoms get parked on for rests when epic gardening sessions happen!!

 Bus - this is one of the few baby toys we have left - kept for visiting small children to play with.

 Frozen - the ground for parts of this month. Spring starts tomorrow so hopefully we won't see this view again!!

 Glass - sea glass found often washed up on local beaches.

 Heart - on one of the caravan windows earlier this month - I couldn't resist it!

 Kiss - magnets on the fridge.

 Red - noses waiting for Red Nose Day on March 15th.

 Not found elsewhere - those two daft boys of mine!

 Shadow - me on one of the rare sunny days this month - it was cold hence the dress over jeans!!

Trolley - quickly snapped before I did a supermarket shop earlier - not the easiest one to get as I didn't want to draw attention to myself!!

Photo Scavenger Hunt 2013 - January

Good evening

Almost late at handing in my first months pictures for this years Scavenger Hunt!

 1. Blue - the sky on a cold, snowy winters day.

 2. Cold - frost patterns on the conservatory window.

 3. Door - a forgotten Christmas decorations!

 4. Food - homemade bread - my favourite sort.

 5. Mailbox - looking pretty in the snow.

6. Reflection - red spray carnations in a Cornishware eggcups - these ones got damaged in transit and I couldn't let them go to waste!

 7. Produce - rather tricky this time of year here in the UK but the garden came up trumps - am sure the birds have been grateful for these during the cold weather.

 8. Statue - this steel cowboy stands on the verge in a nearby village - he makes me smile every time we drive past.

 9. Sign - a roadside covered in snow - just happens to be near my postbox!!

 10. View - one you've seen before from me - Southwold from the Pier - on a bitterly cold winters day with very rough seas. 

 11. Warm - my reward for the cold walk at Southwold - hot chocolate in the cafe on the Pier.

12. Twelve - birthday cards from Little Son's recent birthday.

Loved the first list and am looking forward to February's. I hadn't realised till I started taking the pics how much I'd missed the Scavenger Hunt!

Photo Scavenger Hunt - June 2012 and Monthly Mosaic

Afternoon

Just a quick visit - suddenly dawned on me its the end of the month today - here are my efforts for the Scavenger Hunt this month - some are a bit hurried but better something than nothing at all;

 Before - one homemade pizza ready for baking

 After - cooked and ready to be eaten by hungry teenagers

Night - fireworks for the Prom by the Sea held in honour of the Jubilee

 Bunting - again at Aldeburgh against a steel grey sky

 Close - Sid the grass snake in the garden

Crown - on my Jubilee mug

 Diamond - a Pokemon game pinched from big sons room

 Majesty - taken from the TV coverage of the River Pagent

On the edge - pink flowers (no idea of name) growing on the cliff edge at Southwold

 Out of reach - the top of the climbing rose on the side of the house 

 Sleep - Little Son asleep in Bertie on our trip away

Symmetry - taken from a revision book left on the floor of Big Sons room.

Thanks Kathy for another month - half way through the year already - scary!!

Whilst I'm online, I might as well post my monthly mosaic pic too;

Jubilee flags/Mumford & Sons live / Proper seaside icecream / rose in the garden / Morris musicians / more roses / geraniums / the first cherries / poppies.

Lots of flowers this month - our garden looks its best in June.

No monthly makes this month - I made one item but that was sent as part of a swap and I've no idea if my recipient has the parcel yet :(
