They have Attitude and they are perfect for altering every-day items! :-) Yes, they are meant to Bee together... but more on that in a moment...!

Now, onto my inspiration project. This is a card I made with one of my totally mixed media-licious backgrounds I shared a while ago on Instagram. I spent an afternoon playing with my Creative Palettes and layering paints onto scraps and Mixed Media Papers. I did some stenciling with sequin waste and bubble wraps as well as lots of stamping with bottle caps and building blocks. Whatever was to hand! In addition to regular white, gold and black acrylic paints I also used DecoArt Americana Acrylics in: Bright Yellow, Yellow Light, Pink Chiffon, Carousel Pink, Cadmium Orange and Country Red.

For my focal image I used Stampendous cling Time for Love which I stamped with Jet Black StazOn ink onto acetate and I coloured the image on the reverse side with Papermania metallic pens. I cut out the heart and mounted it onto the card with DODZ-3D so it would look as if it's floating above the detailed background, without getting lost within in. And you can still see the background layers between the cogs and rivets of the image :).

I also added some more stamping with the Honeycomb Wishes Perfectly Clear Stamps Set and I threw in a few cute little heart cogs for good measure.

That's all from me for today! More inspiration is waiting for you here:

Don't forget to leave some love on the participating blogs to be in with a change of winning one of those amazing prize bundles! Thank you for stopping by today and for all your lovely comments. Good luck everyone!

It's All Clear Now - Stampendous and Clear Scraps Blog Hop

Welcome to the Big Blog Hop Finale!

Let me introduce you to our hosts today - Stampendous! and Clear Scraps! Woot woot! :-)

Yes, this week both design teams have been playing together creating beautiful and original projects - if you missed the previous posts be sure to check them out. You really don't want to miss all this creativity that's been shared this week!

My first contribution this week was this shabby chic Mother's Day card that I shared on Monday. But, in case you missed it, yesterday I also shared a Father's Day card which was my DT make for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

When I started working on my DT assignment I was surrounded by lots of delicious Stampendous and Clear Scraps goodies so I HAD to throw them all in the mix :). My card features a really cool technique with gold leafing on acrylic sheets - if you'd like to find out more, hop over here to see my full tutorial.

And since we're having a blog hop, of course we also have prizes! We have three prize packages up for grabs and each will include our Cling Jumbo Filigree Stamp Set, a Jumbo Perfectly Clear Acrylic Handle, PLUS a Clear Scraps Mixable Album and some extra acrylic accents (NB. the winner must have a US shipping address).

But there's also a little (or not so little ?) surprise for Aussie crafters! The Stencil Specialists, one of our Australian Wholesale Distributors, is going to offer a prize to one Australian fan every time we have a giveaway for US players! For the Clear Scraps Blog Hop week, The Stencil Specialists are offering: a Stampendous Stamp, A Dreamweaver Stencil (LL size customer choice), A Silicone Mould, A Tub of White Ultra Light Paper Clay and 3 packs of Adhesive Gems. WOW… what a fantastic prize package!
Here's what you need to do to be in with a chance of winning. Visit all the participating blogs throughout the week and leave some love to let us know you've visited. The more love you share, the higher your chance to win. And most importantly - prepare yourself to be totally inspired!

And now it's time to show you my humble offering for today's hop - a CAS card! I know! Me and CAS don't usually play together (I confess, I am a devoted follower of 'more is more' approach lol). But this time I just wanted to keep the design fairly simple to showcase this fabulous Jumbo Parrot stamp set. This card is soon going to fly to my big brother for his upcoming birthday. We have a bit of a family 'story' involving parrots so I couldn't resist the possibility to use this theme for my brother's card :).

My card is quite media-licious as I used a lot of different mediums (is it just me thinking that the word 'media' somehow doesn't sound right...?).

I started off by stamping my lovely birdie onto Authentique Nomad paper (Adventure collection) and coloured it with Inktense pencils. The colours I used are Bright Blue, Hooker's Green, Dark Aquamarine, Poppy Red, Sepia Ink, Cadmium Yellow, Golden Yellow, Tan and Iris Blue. After colouring I fussy cut the image.

To create my card I used one of the acrylic sheets from the Mixable Lovely 5.75 x 7 Album which I secured to the card's base with Adhesive Sheets. To create the 'colourful jungle' background I added lots of splatters using DecoArts acrylic paints (Bright Green, Red Alert, Bright Yellow, Ocean Blue as well and white and black).

Once the paint was dry I stamped the Grunge Birthday sentiment with Jet Black StazOn. For the background I used BoBunny Sweet Life -Inspire paper which I stamped with Emerald City StazOn Mini and also splatted with paints.

That's all from me and I hope you enjoyed it :). Here is the list of the inspirational makes that await you today:

Thank you so much for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments! Don't forget to also check my Mother's Day and Father's Day cards for more ideas on using your stamps and acrylic sheets. And if you've enjoyed my offerings, how about signing up to follow my blog so you can see what's I'm up to in the future? :)

Have a fantastic and creative weekend!

Hello lovely crafters! I hope you are keeping well.

It's time for my regular post over at Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and today I am sharing a Father's Day Card I made for my FIL. I have a full tutorial for it,  too - I hope you will find a moment to check it out here :).

My Monday's Mother's Day Card must have influenced my early planning for this occasion :). Not only that! Since I already had some Clear Scraps and Stampendous supplies on my desk (see my Monday's post for the blog hop details), I threw them in as well.

The technique used on my card was inspired by this awesome chic treat bag made by my talented teammie Angela Ploegman.

My FIL is a man of many talents and that includes writing novels, playing music and painting. He has a beautiful and a very creative heart :).

Be More [Steampunk] Dog - Scrapbook Layout

Hello Friends! I hope you are all keeping well and are enjoying the first signs of spring.

We've had our first ever crocus in our garden. Just one. And just for a few hours until something has eaten it... We saw it first thing in the morning and by the time we got back from work - it was gone. No trace of it... we were so sad...!

Anyway... today I am back to share... a scrapbook page! I know! It doesn't happen very often on my blog :).
But when I saw this cute little guy during our short break in Bruges last summer I just knew I had to scrap him :). I took about a hundred photos of him lol. So now - my project. Welcome to my Steampunk Dramatic Society! :) A bit different from my usual colourful shabby chic vibe, isn't it? LOL.

I had a lot of fun playing with DecoArt's Fluid Acrylics Titan Buff, Quinacridone Gold and Paynes Grey and Americana DuraClear Matte Varnish as well as these fantastic Stampendous Industrial stamps designed by Andy Skinner. I played with Andy's Faux Rust and Dirty Wash/Glaze techniques.

I also added some side panels stamped with White Opaque StazOn ink using the cling Steampunk set, embellished with some funky MDF shapes adhered with Adhesive Sheets.

I also added some black glittered alphas (K&Co) to the sides.

The inside of the block looks a bit like a Jack In The Box :). I first stamped the NK Studio's Fiesta pattern onto gold card and then stamped the Drama Masks with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Then I fussy cut them and popped them onto some acetate strips and fixed them inside the box with Crafty Power Tape. I also added strips of an old photo film (if you want to recycle yours, too, make sure you first scan the images onto your computer first, otherwise they will be lost forever!) which I crinkled with my heat tool.

The backdrop of my theatre scene was created with Reel Movies and Film Elements stamped onto BoBunny Time Piece Stripe and Monte Paper Mill Take2 papers. I used lots of Crafty Foam Tape to create the layers. I also added some Steampunk 'fascinators' to the masks using old watch parts and Small Dodz.

And you might have also spotted the cool picture wheel I created using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Picture Wheel. Again, I used an old photo film for the slides and sandwiched them between two die cuts - don't they look fab?

I finished the piece with some die cut gears at the back and wooden feet.

Here are today’s participating designers -

Be sure to check all the creations - they are sure to be mind blowingly gorgeous and super creative!

Thanks for popping in and for all your lovely comments. And if you enjoyed this inspiration from me, be sure to have a nosey around my blog for other projects and ideas. Perhaps you might even like to click that 'Follow My Blog' button on the right to see what I'm up to in the future :).

Good luck in the prize draw!
