Peeking Out From Behind Autumnal Leaves...

So.... It's been a while, hasn't it? I hope you're all keeping well! :)

I thought I would show you this little project I made a while ago but just haven't had a chance to share.

This is a little layered mini album / shadowbox thinggy I made as a keepsake from my nephew's Christening. I was inspired by the awesomeness of layered shadow card kits from Heartfelt Creations. I didn't have the exact supplies so decided to free style it and create my own thing using a selection of dies (Spellbinders and Marianne's Design).....

Mini Prills vintage flowers

and punches and flowers from Hobbycraft and 49 and Market...

Shabby chic handmade card

and Mini Prills and lots of other lush embellies... :). All secured in place with a range of adhesives from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Thank you so much for your visit today...

Big crafty hugs!

On the Eve of Christmas Eve

Hello Friends!

Blimey! Where has the time gone?! I know I always promise (including to myself) to craft and blog more, but life has been so busy... non-crafty things always seem to get in the way... I'm sure you all know what I mean. So please forgive me for being such a poor blogger and visitor of late... I do try to visit your beautiful blogs whenever I can, although I don't always have enough time to let you know I've been...  But I do and will try to organise myself better soon! :)

Last time I blogged it was Halloween, and now it's nearly Christmas! Sheesh... I'm almost ready with my preparations. What about you? This year I only managed to make a few Christmas cards, which I hope to share over the coming days...

The first one up... is this frosty Poinsettia card.
best die cutting machine

With this year's cards I was totally in a die cutting mode so I decided to dust off my lush Cut 'N' Boss Machine (one of the best and most memorable gifts I've ever received! - thank you Santa!). I played with a selection of dies I've had for years but (please don't tell anyone, especially my hubby!)) never actually used before...Gasp! Please don't judge me... I'm sure you all know all too well what happens when a good sale comes up and you end up buying supplies in wholesale quantities...! Some dies are like a good wine, you leave them unopened to mature and they just get far better with time.. LOL :)

For this card I used the following dies and punches:
Tim Holtz Sizzix Tattered Poinsettia
Stampendous Dreamweaver Holly and Swirls DL3005
Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia
Marianne Creatables Dies LR0181
Martha Stewart Pine Branch

I also used the following supplies:
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: DODZ 3DAdhesive Dots SmallE-Z Runner Grand Refillable Dispenser
Papers: Simple Stories - December Documented
Dylusions Ink Spray - White Linen

Martha Stewart pine branch bough punch

That's all from me for now! Tomorrow is Christmas Eve (yay!), and that's when me and my family will be gathering for our Christmas Eve dinner to celebrate the reason of the season... and that's when we get to open our Christmas pressies! Soooo excited to see what Santa prepared for me this year! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by today and for any sweet comments you'd like to leave. Your time and thoughts are truly appreciated. Warm festive wishes to all

Christmas Is In the Air And A Snowy Postcard

Re-eited: Yaaaay! My card was featured in the Designer Spotlight at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Woot woot!!! :)

Hello everyone and my warmest welcome on this pre-Christmas weekend :) I thought I would pop in to share another Christmas card I made - this one was inspired by Tim Holtz's December tag from 12 Tags of 2015.

I don't often play with tags (although I always promise myself to create more of them) so I extended the theme of Tim's inspiration tag onto a card.

I more or less followed the steps on Tim's tutorial. For the sprayed burlap panel I used Red Pepper Color Wash and Dreamweaver Holiday Greetings And Holly stencil. The main panel was stamped with Brilliance Pearlescent Olive ink (my fave ink ever!) using this gorgeous Stampendous Snowy Postcard stamp (my fave stamp ever!) and I added some shading with Inktense pencils (my fave pencils ever!). I also heat embossed in Detail Black the Christmas Air sentiment.

For the wreath I used a punch and dies from Martha Stewart, Spellbinders and Marianne's Designs and mounted the foliage with heaps of DODZ™ Small. Then I added a handful of baby cones (picked up outside my work office lol) and a Bella Bow sprayed with Red Pepper Color Wash. Spraying the felt bow made the ink concentrate in some parts more than in others and I loved the vintage, washed out look it created.

Finally I gave the card a light dusting with the Dylusions White Linen ink spray (my fave ink spray ever!) and a light brush with Everlasting Chalky Finish paint (my fave paints ever!).

Looks like I managed to squeeze in quite a few faves of mine in this little card lol. Oh well, I hope it was worth it and that you'll like my card! :).

Thank you for stopping by today and I'm sending you all lots of warm pre-Christmas hugs! xx

It's a Girl! - An Exploding Box For Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Hello Friends! I'm so happy that you stopped by today!

Today over at Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L's blog I am sharing an exploding box project and I would be delighted if you found a moment to visit my post HERE to find out all the details how I made it :).

I made this box as a gift for my lovely friend at work, who's had a Baby Girl :-).

Here is a list of the adhesives I used in my project:

E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips – Refillable, Thin 3D Foam Squares – Mix White, Ivory Creative Photo Corners, DODZ™ – 3D, DODZ™ – Medium, 3D Foam Hearts, Keepsake Envelopes.

As a ‘centrepiece’ for the base I used this little cupcake – which is actually made of a pair of tiny baby socks. Aren't these just cutest ever?

The stamped sentiment is a new addition to my stamp collection. It's a quote from Winnie The Pooh and it says:

"Sometimes, said Pooh, the smallest things take up the most room in our hearts".

I absolutely love this sentiment and I think these wise words can be applied to so many situations. I have a feeling I will be using it a lot! :)

Other supplies used:

Cardstock – Core’dinations;

Papers – Echo Park; Little Yellow Bicycle
Stamps – Stampendous (Perfectly Clear Baby BalloonSay It TodayRoyal Heart Quotes) and Quietfire Design (Sometimes, said Pooh)
Glitter – Stampendous (Pink Micro GlitterPastel Pink Ultra Fine Glitter)
Ribbon – May Arts
Cutting Dies – Spellbinders Beaded Circles and Marianne Designs LR0217

Thank you so much for stopping by and for all your lovely comments!

Have a craftylicious week!

Big crafty hugs

Shabby Shutters for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Re-edited: Woot woot! My card has been chosen a Saturday Spotlight at Fashionable Stamping Challenges! Yay!!!

Witajcie drodzy Blogowiczanie!

Hello Friends!

I am soooo delighted to see new Followers joining my blog - thank you so much and make yourself at home! :0)

Today I have a DT card to share which I prepared for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. I won't go into too much detail here, as you can read all about my card HERE (and I would be really happy if you did! lol).

If you subscribe to the UK's Craft Stamper magazine you might recognise this stamp from the July issue.

When I  saw this little Mackintosh-inspired rose stamp I immediately thought of stained glass windows. And I just had to have a go at creating a stained glass effect using acetate, stamps and inks :).

I know you might first associate stained glass with Gothic cathedrals. But as I'm not too much of a 'Gothic kinda gal', I decided to put a shabby - chic - cottagey spin on it. Funnily enough, one of the inks I used is called Gothic Purple lol :). So here is my Shabby Shutters card.

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L's Supplies:

E-Z Dots® Mini Permanent, MyStik® Permanent Strips, White 3D Foam Squares Regular and White 3D Foam Squares - Small, Black 3D Foam Squares - Regular, White Crafty Foam Tape, DODZ™ - 3D, DODZ™ - Small, 3d Foam Leaves, 3D Foam Cupcakes, 3D Foam Garden Shapes.

Other Supplies:

Stamp - Craft Stamper Magazine, July 2014 free stamp; Papers: 7Dots Studio Dreamer Collection and Bazzill Basics Paper;
Wendy Vecchi - Blossom Bucket - Shutters

Stencils - brick stencil, Tim Holtz Shutter;

Cutting Dies: Marianne Design CR1213 and LR0205,

Inks: Imagine Crafts StazOn Claret, Gothic Purple, Cactus Green, Cherry Pink, Mustard, Jet Black, Memento Tuxedo Black; Colouring: STAEDTLER ergosoft® aquarell pencils, Spectrum Noir markers, DecoArt Americana paints.

Glitters: Stampendous Pink Micro Glitter, Sea Green Ultra Fine Jewel Glitter.

Today is my first day back at work after the op... so please keep your fingers crossed for me that all goes well! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a fabulous week!
Big crafty hugs

Star Struck Valentine and the Stitches!

Warmest greetings and happy Valentine's Day wishes to all! I hope your day has been filled with love, creative flair and happiness!

Also, my warmest welcome to my newest followers - thank you from the bottom of my heart for wanting to share my creative journey.

Today I over at Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L I am sharing my  Valentine's card I made for my dearest Hubster :). You can find the full details here.

My hubby has recently fallen in love with star gazing and astro-photography (yes, I know, I’m no longer his only love lol). I’ve been thinking long and hard about what to get him for Valentine’s Day as I wanted something that reflected his new interest. But how do you find a nice and thoughtful gift in an area that you have no idea about? Luckily I had a thought – I could give him a star! OK, maybe not a star itself, but an opportunity to give one his own name and have it officially registered. And that’s what this card is all about… :).

Click on the photos for a larger view.

My card was inspired by the beautiful flowery compositions you can find over at Joanna's blog W Kartkowym Zaciszu. Joanna (or Asia, she's Polish, too!) often hides her beautiful flowers under lifted layers  of paper - and I absolutely love this look!

Here are the supplies I used:

Adhesive Sheets 4×6″, DODZ™ – 3D, E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips, 3D Foam Squares – White Mix, E-Z Dots® Mini Permanent, 3D Foam Stars, 3D Foam Hearts, Crafty Power Tape

Card base - old CD folder

Music Motif Stamps & Template, Micro Glitters – Stampendous
Free clear stamps - Craft Stamper Magazine
Treble Clef die – Marianne Design
Flowers – Prima
Ribbon – May Arts
Digital WordArt – Tlc Creations, Rain Drop Echo Designs

Oh, and before I forget. On Sunday I will be at the NEC Birmingham at the Craft Hobby & Stitch International show. I will be mostly hanging around the stand H46 with Woodware UK and Stampendous. If you are in Birmingham on Sunday - be sure to stop by and say 'hello'. I would love to meet you in person!

Have a wonderful weekend, free from any bad weather conditions!

Big crafty hugs
