Task 56 - Origami Hummingbird

While flying to Orlando and sipping on cocktails in first class I started to flip though the on-board magazine. I came across a great article in Spirit Magazine titled "Hover Craft - a little hummingbird told is this origami lesson is sure to land you one dandy wingman"

I promptly took out a dollar bill and decided that I was going to give it a try. Below are the instructions and a picture of my finished product. Let me know how yours comes out.

Task 56 - Origami Crane

(56) Make 10 Origami Figures. (2/10)

Today is the birthday of Akira Yoshizawa (吉澤 章 Yoshizawa Akira; 14 March 1911 – 14 March 2005) who is considered the grandmaster of origami. To honor him I thought today I would complete another lesson in the art of origami.

This lesson was to learn to make an origami crane. It took a few runs to learn it and memorize the folds but I think it came out nicely. I know this is the first one most people learn but for whatever reason I picked the dinosaur first.

Task 56 - Origami Dinosaur

(56) Make 10 Origami Figures. (1/10)
The first of the 10 origami figures I am going to make is a dinosaur. It is a very simple origami figure and requires only a single piece of origami paper and includes 12 folds to create the bird base, and a final 12 folds to finish the dinosaur. Find attached my video on how I made my Origami Dinosaur.
