White Chocolate Dipped Snowman Potato Chips

Got Snow?

Anybody?

We don't but we want some! Which is why I decided to build my own snowmen. And since I'm still on a potato chip crafting kick, I created these cool little cuties!
Aww, that smile! He may be too cute to eat!
To make the snowmen, I used white chocolate melting wafers, candy corn, black sugar pearls, and ruffled chips.
To make the carrot noses, I used the orange candy corn centers. I just rolled the cut piece between my fingers to form the carrot shape. They look so real!
Melt white chocolate, place on parchment paper and decorate with candy pieces. Attach potato chips together to form a snowman.

Brrrrr..ing these to your next get-together and watch them melt! The recipients not the snowmen!

Chocolate Covered Reindeer Potato Chips!

Christmas Is Almost Here!

It's a magical time of year with the promise of hope, joy, and peace which began on that first Christmas day long ago with the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

My favorite Christmas tradition is having my firstborn grandson read the Christmas Story from the book of Luke. I'm so thankful to God for sending His Son to be the Saviour of the world. Jesus was born to die for our sins so that if we accept His gift of salvation, we can live with Him in heaven forever.

What an amazing gift!

John 3:16 promises that all we need to do is believe to receive. He is waiting for you with open arms!

Another one of my favorite traditions is enjoying all the delicious holiday foods and treats. So here is a fun and simple one for you that is both salty and sweet! Yum!
To make my sweet little reindeer, I used Ghirardelli dipping chocolate, candy eyes, cherry Jelly Belly jelly beans, ruffled potato chips and these Wilton candy antlers.
Melt chocolate in microwave on 50% power in 30 second bursts stirring each time until candy is melted smooth. Dip chips and place on parchment paper.
Place all candy pieces onto dipped chips and let set till dry. (I snipped the jelly beans into halves for the noses.)
Just look at those adorable eyes! Are you melting?!
All this cuteness is just making me hungry!!

Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas!

Football Fudge Sticks

Are You Ready For Some Football..Fudge Sticks?

My sweetheart is watching a game right now and I predict there will be many more to come in the next few months. If your hubby is anything like mine he will be looking for those football game-time snacks and treats. If you need a cute one for your next game day get-together, here is a yummy, fun, and simple one you can put together in a few short minutes.
I used Keebler Fudge Sticks and vanilla frosting to make my footballs. I used a small round tip and filled the icing bag with the frosting.
Simply pipe lines as shown in photo.
And just like that, we have a touchdown...with no unnecessary roughness!๐Ÿคญ
The fifty yard line is looking pretty sweet so I hope you enjoy your game and your treats!

Yummy Mummy Chocolate Covered Potato Chips

Me and my mummified chocolate covered chips are over here celebrating 8 years of creating fun treats at Sugartown Sweets!

10.31.2011 marks our official birthday!! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Come on in and join us!
We'll have a yummy ol' time!
To create our mummies, we'll need the following:
Ruffles chips, 2 1/5  cups white chocolate wafers  (about 12-13 oz), candy eyes, purple icing color, and bug sprinkles.
This will make approximately 20 to 25 chips.
Melt 1 1/2 cups white chocolate wafers over very low heat. Remove from and stir in a good sized dollop of purple color mixing well.
Dip chips to coat completely in chocolate.
Place candy eyes on your sweet new friends!
Melt 1 cup white chocolate wafers and use a spoon to drizzle on chips. Next place bug sprinkles and let sit till candy hardens.
 Aren't they adorable?!

Salty and sweet always gets my vote!
Hope you enjoyed today's post and I really do appreciate you stopping by!

It's been 8 fun years and I'm excited to share some new sweet treats with you for the upcoming Thanksgiving & Christmas holiday season!

Potato Chip Pumpkin Patch

Hello October and Welcome to my Pumpkin Patch!

Potato Chip Pumpkin Patch that is!

Now if you're like me and are yucked out by the very thought of eating pumpkin, you will be happy to know these are made with white chocolate!

Have you ever seen chocolate covered chips in a candy shop? Yes? Me too! So how about we decorate and cute some up for fun?! Plus I have a few more ideas up my candy maker's sleeve for the holidays!

But for now, let's head out to the patch and pick some pumpkins!
   ๐ŸŽƒ ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ๐ŸŽƒ
I'm using Ghirardelli white chocolate, but if you have vanilla almond bark on hand it will work just fine. I also used some orange coloring, Twizzlers and Ruffles chips. Not pictured are the candy eyes and parchment paper.
Rrrruffles have rrridges--lol..i grew up in the 70s--meaning they're sturdy enough to handle being dipped in chocolate without breaking.
To create the pumpkin stems, I snipped off small pieces and cut them in half lengthwise.
Melt the white chocolate, and stir in a small dollop of color to get that nice orange shade of pumpkin. Now dip your chips to coat completely, place on parchment paper and attach a Twizzlers candy stem.
I love that they are all different shapes and sizes like real pumpkins! I think the smaller ones are the cutest!
Now you can add the candy eyes.

"Hey! Somebody turned the lights on!"
Now you can sit back and admire your new pumpkin patch..look at all the friends you've made!

Happy Fall Y'all Candy Corn Flower Pops

The first day of Fall is almost here!
Or should I say, autumnal equinox?
We experience two equinoxes each year with the first one being in March and the other one in September. Equinox -or equal night- is when the entire earth will share roughly the same amount of daytime and nighttime! How cool is that?!

So to celebrate the changing of the season, of course we need a sweet treat. Then I found this adorable candy corn craft at the Resourceful Mama, and I thought it would make a fun and easy pop! It did!

I remembered that Bakerella made these flower cake pops a few years back. But mine involve melting the candies rather than placing them on a cake pop..soooo here they are!

This isn't the first time I've melted candy corn. Check out my Christmas Tree Pops for another fun treat!
You will need candy corn-i prefer Jelly Belly brand as they melt better-Peanut M&Ms, and green lollipop sticks.
Preheat your oven to 300 degrees.
Place six candies on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Place in oven for five minutes. If after five minutes the candies aren't soft enough to insert lollipop stick, return to oven for just a few more seconds and try again.
Remove from oven and immediately insert lollipop stick. Twist and twirl the stick to get a little of the melted candy to coat the stick so it will..well, stick!

Now place the M&M in the center of flower and press gently to set.
Ahhh..these turned out so cute! Bright and sunny!

Thanks for stopping by today!
