Speckled Robin Egg Candy Spoons

 We are two days away from Easter!

If you need a fun and pretty..and since it's Friday.. last minute basket stuffer or take-away for your Easter Sunday dinner guests, these speckled egg candy spoons are an easy winner!
Besides the candies, you will need a food grade paintbrush. I also stirred a little coconut oil into my melted chocolate chips to thin them out a little.
Have fun with this..I know I did!

Fill your spoons with the melted blue candy.
Dip your paintbrush into the melted chocolate chips and speckle away!

Grinch Candy Spoons

Grinch Candy Spoons!
Ah! This story gets me every time!

I also made these Grinch lollipops a couple of years ago.
To make the Grinch candy spoons, you will need:
yellow oval sprinkles
black confetti sprinkles
black string licorice
white Sixlets
white sparkling sugar
Bugles
red, green and white candy melts
candy writer pen
not pictured: corn syrup, paintbrush, wax paper, heart sprinkles
 Attach black sprinkles to yellow "eyes" with corn syrup.

I forgot to take photos for making the eyebrows.
Basically I just used my scissors to cut and trim them from the black string licorice. Super easy.
After I saw these adorable bugle Santa hats at Shelly's Cookies & Cups, I knew the Grinch would love to have one of his own!

Instead of marshmallows, I used Sixlets for the hat tip.

Melt candy melts @ 50% power in 30 second intervals stirring each time until melted and smooth.

Dip Bugle in red melts, attach candy ball and hold a few seconds till set. Lay on wax paper till firm.
Dip bottom end of bugle into white melts, sprinkle on white sugar and let set till completely set.

*i used the tip of a spatula to clear the excess melted candy from hat opening to ensure it would sit atop the Grinch's head.
 Melt green candy melts at 30 second intervals @ 50% power stirring each time until melted and smooth.

Dip spoon into melted candy and clean excess from edges.
Place candy eyes and eyebrows.
I then rested mine on the curve of a fork until candy hardened.
 Time to Grinch up his face.
I gave one Grinch a sweeter face with curved eyebrows and a kind smile.

Using the black candy writer, draw his nose and mouth.
 Feeling Christmasy yet?
Don't forget the Grinch.
I know he's mean and hairy and smelly.
His hands might be cold and clammy,
but I think he's actually kinda...
Sweet!
Merry Christmas!

Pumpkin Patch Candy Spoons

I've not had very much time in my kitchen lately, but I wanted to create a seasonal treat and this is what I came up with.

Requirements included simple, cute and quick.
I think I've got it!

Pumpkin Patch Candy Spoons.
An easy pumpkin treat that you can make in no time at all.
I'm talking lickety-split people!

~I have a couple other pumpkin patch treats as well.
Click here and here to see them!~

Twizzlers, candy melts and soup spoons are all you need. I'm using soup spoons as I like the more rounded shape they give the pumpkins.
 Melt the candy according to the package directions.
I melted mine in a small cup, poured the candy into the spoon and gave it a swirl using the tip of a knife.
I cut little stems from the twizzlers and pressed them into the top of each spoon.
Let them sit to harden. Wrap them in cello bags for a cute favor at your fall parties, use in goody bags or just let the kiddos help you make and eat them just for fun!
Happy Fall Y'all.

Candy "Apple" Spoons

If you need a super simple fall craft with minimal effort and/or supplies, plus is cute to boot, this one fits the bill!
 Ingredients and supplies needed: candy melts, pretzel sticks, plastic spoons, green fondant and a fondant cutter.
 You will also need parchment or wax paper.
 I try to always keep white fondant on hand.
This way, I can color my own should I be out of the color fondant I need.
However, green fondant can be purchased at any craft store.
Just roll out and cut. I used the smallest fondant cutter from this set.
If you don't have leaf cutters, you could easily cut them freehand with a knife.
 Follow directions on candy melts package on how to melt the candy. Hmm..did y'all get that?
I like to melt mine in a small saucepan over low heat.
Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
 Dip spoon in candy, insert broken piece of pretzel and place leaf.
Let spoons rest on edge of pan till set.
I used a spoon on it's flip side to hold leaf in place until candy hardened.
 Ooohh that's it!
These would have made perfect "Back to School" teacher gifts.
Of course you could gift these anytime.
Just use the appropriate themed ribbon and tie them up in cello bags!

Just dip a spoon in the ready made frosting and place the candy peas & carrots for the eyes and nose!
 Sweet and Easy! :o)

Candy Corn Spoons

Candy Corn Spoons!
Candy Corn Treats using Jelly Belly Candy Corn, Candy Corn M&Ms and Ghirardelli Chocolate.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are enjoying near perfect weather here in my neck of the woods. My daughter and I, along with my grandbabies, spent last week in Disney World. I LOVE Disney! We got a chance to see some of the cute treats they were making..and yes, I did sample a couple. My favorite was the Peanut Butter & Chocolate Cupcake.. mmmmmm. I can't wait to get in the kitchen and make some new Mickey treats. But for today, I made these sweet little spoons, 'cause I already have all this candy corn and all. :o)
p.s. These are great for a quick cup of hot chocolate!
 Orange spoons from Party City: $2.49
Jelly Belly Candy Corn..I love this stuff!
!OO!
 Supplies needed: Spoons, parchment paper, dipping chocolate, candy corn, Candy Corn M&Ms, mini M&Ms, confetti sprinkles, & Food Writers (to make the eyes and draw the mouths).
 Let chocolate set up before decorating with candies. Just use a bit of melted chocolate to attach the candies to the spoons.
(Remember to line pan with parchment paper for no sticking)
Hot Chocolate on a Spoon!
 My very favorite time of year is HERE!!
My husband and I were in Gatlinburg over Thanksgiving weekend. I saw something cute in a store and decided to try it at home...only I wanted to "up the cute factor"!
Dipping chocolate, mini marshmallows, festive colored plastic spoons and food writer pens is all you need.
I got mine @ a cake decorating shop, but Walmart sells "Betty Crocker Easy Writers".
Mmmmmelting..........
 Just get a big ol' dip of chocolate..
hold the spoon level like this for several seconds. This lets the chocolate set up a bit..then you can place your marshmallows on top.
This is how I saw it in the store. (Nancy's Candy Co.) was the name on the tag. I thought they were so cute. But I thought, this can be so much cuter!
 That's when I broke out my "food writer pens"!
Food Writers equals instant cuteness :o)
Just place your finished spoons on a wax paper lined cookie sheet .
I love it!
Sweet~Sweet~Sweet!
There are so many possibilities. You could use any Christmas themed marshmallows. I think the gingerbread men are adorable.
But today, I only have the mini marshes.
Tie these up with ribbon in a cello bag and you have an easy, quick & sweet gift on hand as you need them!
Look at these sweet little guys :o)
All you need is a mug of hot milk..now just stir with your spoon till it melts down into wonderfulness!
