Boy, am I rusty! It took me forever to come up with this design! I've GOT to get back in practice! I used to be able to whip out a much more original and elaborate card design much speedier than this one!
I borrowed this stamp set, Awash with Flowers, from Lorri Heiling and used it to make my weSTAMP swap card which you'll see on Tuesday after our swap. I absolutely LOVE this stamp set, and it is on the top of my wish list! It is a 2-step stamp set, very easy to work with, and the images stamp nice and clean. It really makes whatever colors you are working with pop!

e borrow her Build a Blossom stamp set and Blossom Petals Punch. Both were first introduced in the Occasions Mini Catalog, and fortunately made it to the new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog! What a wonderful stamp set and coordinating punch ... definitely on my wish list! The flower petals and leaves are stamped in Versamark and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I rolled the petals around a thick highlighter marker to make them puff and curve.

nspired by Colour Q Challenge #86 of Real Red, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, and Early Espresso, and Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #119. I immediately thought of this sunflower card we made at a stamp class a couple of years ago when I saw the inspiration socks from the Colour Q. The sunflower is so simple to make - punch with the scallop circle punch, cut with scissors toward the center in each indentation. The center of the sunflower is made using the 1" circle punch.
I have only three days of full-time work left before summer break!!! (then working part-time during the month of June, and all of July off). I am sooooo ready to start stamping again! I dabbled a bit last weekend, and as expected, things didn't flow as naturally as they usually do. I'm certain that with practice this summer, I'll be back to my old stampin' self! 
ple little card from last weekend using Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #118 and PPA Color Challenge #92 of Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait, and Poppy Parade. I've had these gorgeous colors since they first came out last summer, and this is the first time I've used them .... just in time for new In Colors to come out!
Still working on getting my mojo back with this card using Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #105. I just love Stampin' Up!'s Owl Punch! ... so many possibilities! I've paired him with the the Leaves Sizzlits Die and retired Sunny Day Simply Scrappin' Kit.
I can't believe how out of whack I am in my stamp room these days! I've had some time to stamp the past couple of weekends and always hit a brick wall. This card sat at my work station all week unfinished. I finally had a chance to order some new Stampin' Up! product today ... I'm sure that will get the creativity flowing again. I'm hoping to get more stamping done over this long weekend! Wish me luck!

Happy 4th of July! Hope your day is filled with celebration with the ones you love! My husband has to work until late afternoon so we'll be hosting a barbecue with some of our neighbors in the evening. 
This week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #75 card USES Teeny Tiny Wishes "thank you" sentiment, and IS teeny tiny by measuring 3" x 3"! The bookworm and apple images are from the stamp set, First Day, available in the 2010 Summer Mini Catalog through August 31.

I made my Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #74 card earlier this week, as I had a thyroidectomy on Friday, and arrived home from the hospital this afternoon. I'm feeling real good other than being weak and tired, and a sore throat & neck. A couple more days to recoup, and I'll be a new woman!
chnique with the Vintage Vogue flowers again (see my other card here), and used the horizontal foliage image to frame the main image panel. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to ensure their accurate placement.

day Sketch Challenge #73 card uses the new Island Oasis Designer Paper in the 2010 Summer Mini Catalog, and my three favorites dies: Daisies #2, Little Leaves, and Scallop Circle #2. I reversed the sketch so that the design would be balanced, and not heavy on one side. 
This week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge card uses the soon-to-be-retired stamp set, True Friend and the colors of Dusty Durango and Soft Suede. If this design looks familiar, it's because it is very similar to my card HERE. The layout of that card was so similar to this week's sketch, I just couldn't get it out of my head! Happy Memorial Day weekend! Today's Sweet Sunday Sketch card uses the balloon image and sentiment from the stamp set, Crazy for Cupcakes, and the new designer paper from the 2010 Summer Mini Catalog, Island Oasis. The balloon image is stamped in Basic Black on to Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Rose Red, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie ... then cut out. The So Saffron and Old Olive balloons are raised up with Stampin' Dimensionals, and the Rose Red and Pumpkin Pie balloons are are raised up with a double layer of Stampin' Dimensionals. The balloon strings are drawn using a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker and ruler.
This week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge card features the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die and the stamp sets, Inspired by Nature and Whimsical Words. The colors of Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun, and Whisper White were inspired by Colour Q Challenge #33.
