Hamburger Stroganoff

1 lb.ground beef
1/2 onion, chopped
1/4 c. butter
1 c. sliced mushrooms
2 Tbs. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 can water
1 c. sour cream

Saute mushrooms in the butter and set them aside. Saute onions by browning with the hamburger. Onions will be glossy. Don't forget to drain off any excess grease. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, mushrooms, soup and water. Cook 5 minutes. Stir in sour cream. Serve over your favorite egg noodles.
