Retro Sketches

Hello everybody,

I played along Retrosketches #57  today. After 4 days of no crafting, I needed a sketch to get my mojo back. Retrosketches had the perfect sketch for me. First here is my take on the sketch.

I have tried to use the collage style by using Carta Bella So Noted Stickers and pattern paper to make my card. The twine is from Twinery and sentiment is from Pretty Poppies stamp set My favourite Things. I am loving the collage style and using readymade supplies as well:)
Here is the sketch for you.

Retrosketches #44

Second post for today! Here is the first post.

I am back to the routine as you can guess! More than one post in a day lol! Hubby went back to work today. So things are a bit quieter and I had plenty of time to craft. Weather is so much cooler today in Perth. That heat wave over Christmas and New Year was terrible:( Hopefully no more of that!

Anyway, I played along Retro Sketches Challenge today. It has been a very long time I played a challenge. I love challenges and especially sketches. So here is my card.

I have used Uniko Studio's Stamps set called Pure Florals: Gerbera, Label Love: Christmas and Wonderful Washi.  Love combining stamp sets and these coordinate so well together. Love the colours too.

Uniko Studio is also having an awesome 50% off sale. Check it out!

Here is the retro sketch #44 for you.

Anyway, it is nothing new. Mondays are always like that.Atleast I have plenty of work done.

But now that I am free, I can blog and share my card I made for Retro Sketches #29.

Happy Happy Birthday!

Hiya!

Gorgeous Wednesday! Had a day off today. Lot of work got done. Very happy.
Sorted out Charlie's chewing issue. I need to thank Lorena Canto for giving me an awesome tip of giving frozen carrots. This is the first time in two days, Charlie has not gone chewing stuff around the house. Apart from that we also gave him couple of big balls to play with and he runs around with the ball like a kitten lol! Of course more toys and bones. Hopefully he will be occupied with his toys and stop stressing out.

Anyway, I am sharing this card I made for RetroSketches #24.

You are amazing!

Second post today! I have a card to share I made for two challenges.
The first is Runaway Inspired Challenge #14 What a beautiful colour combination?
Love the monochromatic pink with a dash of green.

And Second is this awesome sketch by N@ from Retro Sketches #16

I picked the colours from the RIC challenge and used the sketch to make my card. I love N@'s original card a lot. Totally freaky awesome card. Mine is no where close to N@'s card. I have tried my best though as I really wanted to do this sketch :)

Supplies:
Cardstock: Stampers Select White from PTI. Pink Passion, Rich Razzeleberry and Lucky Lemonade from SU
Stamp Set: a complementary set from MFT. Misc stamp sets found on my craft table at the time of stamping lol!
Accessories: Tiny Tags dies from papertrey Ink, Scallop impression plate from Taylored Expression, Rinestones from Kaisercraft and white thread.

I have used Tiny Tags diecut in three different colours, stamped a few, embossed a few, added thread and rhinestones :) I like how it turned out and hope you do too.

Retro Sketches #14

Good morning!

A quick share today. I loved the Retro Sketch this week. Perfect CAS sketch.
So I played the challenge.

Here is my take on the sketch.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Stampers Select White from PTI
Stamp Set:  Get your Thong On from There She goes and Sending You Sunshine from The Craft's Meows
Inks: Archival Jet Black Ink
Accessories: Cutterbee scissors and copic markers

Although itis winter for me and I felt kind of funny making summer card, I still like the colours. Well, I did enter the PC Gallery Idol but did not get through the top 20. A bit disappointed but I knew about the competition was stiff. So no bad feelings:) But I decided to play along anyway. There is a Flickr group called Play along Gallery Idol by Keren, where you can link your projects and play along :) Isn't that cool? I am goinng to enter this card into the Play Along Gallery Idol too.

A month ago, my SU snips fell to the floor and the tips got bent. I straightened it but I also ruined the scissors by sharpening using knife sharpner. So I was in search of a new scissors. I had a few people recommend Tim Holtz and Cutterbeee. They both were non stick. I ended up choosing Cutterbee which arrived last week. You can see from this card, I had a good time fuzzy cutting all those flip flops :) Love my new Cutterbee non stick scissors:)

Anyway, it a holiday for me today(Monday). It is foundation day for Western Australia. But I do have a few chores to do. Got to go now and get them all done so I have rest of the week stress free :)

See you soon!

He looks all chubby like he used to be when he was a toddler lol!  So glad to have both my men back home. Great relief. Kids are back to school today and hubby at work. It is freezing cold here. Heater is on and love my hot tea. Great day to curl up on the couch and watch TV :) Maybe I will do just that in the afternoon :)

Sending Best Wishes

Afternoon everybody,

I am very cranky today. It started of my with soon to be a teenager son refusing get up from his bed in the morning. And when he finally did, moves so slowly around the house and taking his own sweet time to get ready to school. Very frustrating:( You know,  I feel like attaching a propeller rather an accelerator with a remote to his backside to help him move a bit faster. Arrr!  In a year's time, I will have not one but two teens at home - one boy and one girl. Life is heading to a very interesting phase I guess :)

Anyway, I was also sick of cooking, cleaning and washing that I dropped everything today and decided I make a card to help me relax. I browsed through and found Retro Sketches #10 and Runaway Inspired Challenge #11. I decided play both.
Here is the sketch and inspirational picture.

And here is what I came up with.

Supplies:
Cardstock: White cardstock from Wplus9, Chocolate Chip from Su and Baby Pink card base and matching envelope from local store.
Stamp set: Decorative Doilies and Fotiments Birthday from Uniko Studio
INks: Soft Suede, Pretty in Pink from SU and Bubblegum from Amuse Inks, Archival Jet Black Ink
Accessories: Pink Bakers twine, Pink Rhinestones from Kaisercraft

I love the modern looking doilie stamp set from Uniko Studio. The package arrived yesterday and beautiful stamp sets. Love love them.
I modified the sketch a little and also stamped on the envelope to coordinate the card.

OK, time for lunch and hopefully I will have a bit more time to play before I pick the kids from school. Time flies like crazy. It is scary! Life is busy at the moment. So many things to do. I am hoping for everything to settle after two weeks. Fingers crossed.
Thanks so much for visiting and also listening to my frustrations today.
See you soon and until then..
