Many of us have fur babies that are very much a part of our family and we would love to know what little critters live with you! Maybe you could add photo's of them on your post too!
We are showcasing Paper Smooches Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store.

This is my take on the Animal Magic challenge.

We are grateful #1

I have used We Adore You stamp set from Paper Smooches to make my card. My card is nearly one layer. I stamped the focal point image using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and stamped the rest of the background with the same image with Simon Says Stamp Fog ink. I copic coloured the focal image and outlined the background images using C1 marker. I grounded the focal image and adhered the sentiment strip using foam adhesives.

We are so grateful closeup

I embellished with Rose Gold 6mm and 4mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and adhered the panel on brown card base.

We are so grateful flat

I tried to colour the dog image on my card similar to my dog colour.  This is Charlie, my third child. Totally pampered pooch at home. We love him and cannot imagine life without him.

This week the challenge is One Layer!

For this challenge you may add die cut pieces and embellishments but the front of the card should look like one layer. We know this one can be tricky for some folks, but we also know you guys ROCK OUR SOCKS every week, so we can’t WAIT to see what you do with the One Layer challenge! Your designs inspire us! Show us what you can do!

Here is my one layer card for the challenge.

PS one layer #1

I have used Blossoming Buds stamp set from Paper Smooches to stamp over the edges of the grey cardstock.  The inspiration for this card came from Jennifer McGuire's  White Pencil Highlights for stamping video. I loved how the White Prisma pencil softens the stamped image and gave highlights to the image as well. I decided to use a grey cardstock and try the technique. When I did practice piece, I loved the chalkboard effect this technique card against the grey cardstock. Hence I choose grey as my background instead of coloured cardstock. I did white pencil highlighting to the entire of the stamped images including the sentiment. Then I felt that the definition of the image was lost. So I sharpened my pencil and went through the outline of the images to get a nice definittion. Then I added some colous here and there using blue, pink, yellow, green and gold pencils. Finally used Clear Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh to embellish and finish the card.

Here is my take on Tie it Up challenge using Paper Smooches products.

Have a lovely day card

I started my card by die cutting two postage stamp panels using Simon Says Stamp Postage Stamp die set. The smaller panel using watercolour paper and the larger panel using Neenah Solar white cardstock. I stamped and white heat embossed the flower and leaf cluster from Blossoming Bud stamp set by Paper Smooches on the smaller watercolour paper and coloured with Zig Clean Brush watercolour pens. I then stamped the sentiment below the coloured image using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

On the larger panel, I used the gold twine from American Crafts to wrap around. Love the curved groves on the edges. It helps keeping the twine in place at equal distance between each other. I feel like I am talking Physics. Sorry I was teaching my son Physics last night and it is still in my head. Haha!  I adhered this panel on the white card base using foam adhesives. And the smaller panel on this panel using foam adhesives. There is a lot of dimension on this card.

Finally embellished the front panel with a tiny gold twine bow and gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh! I have all the products I have used on my card at the end of the post.
Here is a closeup of the card.
