Moxie Fab World Thanks

Welcome to Moxie Fab World Thanks Blog Hop!

You should have made your way here from Clare Buswell's Blog. If not it is OK you can find the entire list of participants for this Blog Hop at Moxie Fab World Blog.

Well this hop came about when we all heard about Cath of Moxie Fab World leaving Papercraft and therefore Moxie Fab World. It was a shock to me and just couldn't believe it for a while. I went through all the stages of grief. Cath and her work at Moxie Fab World has been a great inspiration for me ever since I found the blog a few years ago. And as all the designers started talking about it on facebook, Keren Baker came up with this idea of doing a blog hop for Cath. Very soon there were so many designers joining the hop that I think it is the biggest blog hop I have known. That show the love we have for Cath.

I like to make a toast to thank Cath for the best times at Moxie Fab World. So here is my card for Cath. For the best times!

I went for a trendy freestyle card for Cath because I love the trend talk post.
Here is a closeup of the card.

Thank you so much Cath for the inspirations you have given through Moxie Fab World. You are Moxie Fab to me always:) All the best for your future.

Now your next hop stop is to Laurel Seabrook's Blog.

I am sure you will need a cuppa and probably few days to get through all the blogs.
Have a great day hopping.

Sending You BIG Hugs!

Most of us know by now that Cath Edvalson is leaving Papercraft and Moxie Fab World! Reading the news on Friday on Moxie Fab World, I was shocked! Initially I thought it was kind of prank or something but the entire papercraft world talked about it. It then sunk into me and I became teary. Cath at Moxie Fab World is such an inspiration to me. The pictures she picks and shows on the blog, the trends, showcasing Moxie Fabbers (I was one of them:) ), challenges...... Moxie Fab World is a huge not just to me but to every designer in the papercraft world. Very sad to hear Cath go. You will be missed a lot!

Sending you BIG hugs and a huge thank you for all the inspirations you have given me all these years, Cath!

And here are the closeups of the card.

I have used My Favorite Things Sketch #148 to make my card. This is the sketch.

The bicycle, speech bubble insert dies and the sentiments are from MFT. The paper is from the beautiful Colourwash Collection from Pink Paislee. The wood veneer "&" is from Studio Calico.

It is time for my evening coffee before I start ironing.

Thanks for stopping by!

CAS(E) this sketch challenge #46

If you are looking for The Craft's Meow post, CLICK HERE!

Hello and welcome to a new sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge Blog!
This gorgeous sketch is by Karolyn Loncon.

And here is my take on the sketch.

I have used the Talk Bubble from Simon Says Stamp to die cut and used the negative. I layered the pattern paper from Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Collection from American Craft. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps On the Edge Stamp Set. The scooter is sticker from Dear Lizzy collection from American Craft as well. I had to cut the scooter sticker in half and I couldn't do it all. I knew I need only half the scooter. Took me half an hour and several attempts before I could cut it.  I also have such moment when I trim a beautiful pattern paper or a stamp. Have you had trouble cutting a sticker, stamp or pattern paper?  I really like how this card turned out.

I am also submitting this card for Moxie Fab World's The Stickers and Tape Challenge.

Trendy Triangles #2

I love weekends! I am sure all of you do, right? Slept in, late breaky, time spent chatting with children and hubby, relaxed.... I even made couple of cards while chatting with them at the dining table. Wish everyday is like this :)
Here is one of the cards I made this morning. I love Triangles and couldn't help making another card for Trendy Triangles Challenge at Moxie Fab world!

I have used Banner dies from Papertrey Ink and Flag dies from MFT to die cut my triangles in different coloured cardstock. Then arranged them randomly, some raised others not. I have added some interest and texture with the use of those coloured twines. No sentiment yet as I have enough cards in my major categories at the moment. I will add sentiment when the time comes to use it :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Trendy Triangles!

A quick post sharing with you a card I made for  Moxie Fab World's Trendy Triangles Challenge.

I wanted to do something totally different. I went a bit tribal! I love white on Kraft. I then saw the cork paper from the past Studio Calico Card kit that I decided to use it instead of kraft cardstock Love the texture the cork gives. I have used stamp sets from Paper Smooches and The Craft's Meow Geometric Stamp set to stamp and heat emboss my triangles. I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock strip using brown ink and adhere to the center. Here is a closeup!

Tuesday Trigger!

Hey everybody,

I had sometime today and therefore made a card for Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger!
Here is the inspirational picture.

I had pinned this picture on my board long time ago and didn't have a chance to use the picture for inspiration. So the moment I saw it as this week's Tuesday Trigger, I wanted to play with it.

For me the comforter is the inspiration. Love the pretty colours and pattern. Here are two cards I made using the comforter as my inspiration.

I have used Fancy Folk Art Stamp Set and  Pretty Peonies Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink for my cards. It looks awesome but was really hard to stamp the solid images within the lines especially when the day is overcast! Or I am getting old! I love the cards. Just so pretty.

Thanks for stopping by!

A set of mini cards.

Hey everybody,

Sharing with you a set of mini cards I made for Moxie Fab World's The Card Set Challenge.

I have used the Girl's Tee die from MFT to make my card set.
Here is the set in its box also made using the same die cut.

And here are the set of five cards.

The stamp sets I used to stamp my images are Rosie Posie Step #2 and Water Colour Wonder from Papertrey Ink, All Squared Up stamp set from Avery Elle Stamps. I decided to stick with three colours - Orange, Blue and Green also with black for sentiments. Love the modern look on the tees.
Here is the box and the tees together.

I am in love with these cute mini tees. Thanks for stopping by!

A set of watercoloured tags

Hey everybody,

Beautiful Sunday morning! Cool with warm sun rays heating up the dining room:) Enjoying this weather because it is going to rain with a chance of thunderstorm late during the day. Cannot crib about it because after a long dry summer, any bit of rain is welcome.

I had some time on Friday and made a set of three gift  tags for  The Gift Tag Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

Here are the gift tags for you.

I have used Jane Doodles's Doodle Flowers stamp set for making my tags. I have water coloured them using Studio Calico's Neon Mr. Hueys. Then cut out the flowers alone and layered them. The tags were diecut using tag die from Papertrey Ink and Studio Calico's Grid PL cards. The sentiment is stamped on the grid card as well, trimmed and layered on the tag using foam adhesives. The ribbon is from Papertrey Ink and the twine is from the Twinery.

I am in love with the water colour technique blending all the colours and learning some watercolour techniques along the way. So you will see more of this technique using on my projects.

Happy weekend! Will see you soon with The Craft's Meow Day #3 preview of the May New Release:)

Guest Designing for Clearly Besotted Stamps.

G' Morning everybody,

Gorgeous Friday today! Yay! Already loving it. weather has cooled down significantly over the past couple of days. Mornings and evenings are much cooler. Welcome Autumn:)

Today, I am sharing with you some cards using the new Clearly Besotted stamp sets. I am so delighted to say that I am Guest Designing for Clearly Besotted Stamps this month. Thank you Stephanie for giving me this opportunity:)

Here is my first card.

I have used  Many Thanks stamp set from Clearly Besotted on this card. I decided to use the star images and layer them by stamping. Did you see the gold stamping? Here is the close up.

I love layered stamping and a CAS card.

This second card is inspired by the current trend in photography called Bokeh. I have a board on Pinterest called Bokeh Inspirations for you if you like to know what it is all about:)

I sprayed some Mister Huey colours on an acrylic sheet and then diluted it with some water mist. Then I put my scrap piece of cardstock directly over it and let it soar for a few seconds. I then heat set it as I was impatient to let it dry on its own:)  Once the card stock is dry, I die cut the jar and stamped the jar image from Spring Blooms stamp set from Clearly Besotted. Then I worked on getting the Bokeh using the heart shapes from Many Thanks Stamp set also from Clearly Besotted. The pattern papers are from Pink Paislee Secret Crush Collection. The sentiment is from Many Thanks stamp set.

For the next card I decided to play along with tips Debby Hughes gave at the Pattern Play online class.

Debby used bold pattern papers as accents. But what I liked the most is using the pattern paper layered under the negative die cut. What a great idea? I decided to use this idea on my card.

I wanted this sentiment from Many Thanks from Clearly Besotted Stamp Set to be my focal point. But I also wanted to add colour to my card. I picked this bold stripped multi colour pattern paper from the Snippets range from Studio Calico paper pad. And I wanted them layered under the negative of the die cut. The die I have used here is from Papertrey Ink Banner dies. I die cut on my front card panel, stamped the sentiment, layered the pattern paper under the negative of the die cut then mounted the panel on the card front. I also used enamel dots to add more interest. Love love how this card turned out.

I am entering this card into the Moxie Fab World's Card Creations - The Emphasize The Negative Challenge.

Hope you enjoyed some of my projects today. I would like to thank Stephanie for giving me the opportunity to Guest design for Clearly Besotted. Absolutely love your designs, great customer service and quick delivery. What more do you want?

Have a great day everybody! I am off to do the school run.
