Tag Fun And One More Cough, Cough, Maple Leaf...
This week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge is to have an element of your card going over the edge. I combined it with this week's JAI and Wee Memories challenge of making a tag. I haven't made a tag forever so it was a perfect excuse to have some fun :)
I had this maple leaf in my "left over box" so I decided to add it to the tag as it was an easy shoe in for going over the edge on this fun, small sized tag pallet. Some fun mixing of fall colours and my job was done. Not sure this qualifies as a CAS tag, but I had fun making it none-the-less.
Now it's off to rake the maple leaves off my lawn as they are falling profusely - penance for posting so many over the past month or so LOL!
Thanks to popping by today :)

Just Adding Ink To My Mojo
It's the first Monday of the month so that means it's contest time with a chance to win some free Verve over on the Mojo Monday Sketch Blog.
I combined this week's sketch with a Just Add Ink colour combo from last week. I somehow never seem to get to this challenge in time...maybe next week!
This wonderful Verve flower hasn't seen some ink in a while so out it come. Love how you can turn it into a flower or a butterfly. The sentiment was a perfect fit for the white space that was left and since I don't own any Rose Red ribbon I crimped a strip of paper to use instead. I played around with a ton of options for the artichoke panel and nothing seemed to work so I defaulted to my card making crutch, Swiss Dots. Not thrilled with the look, but I just couldn't get anything else to work so they stayed.
This weekend is Thanksgiving for those of us who life in Canada. I always love reflecting on what to be thankful for - especially easy and enjoyable for a "glass half full" type of person :)
Since I don't know if I'll have time to create and post this weekend, I just want to tell you how thankful I am for each and every one of you who takes some time out of your busy day to drop by and read my ramblings, leave me a comment, or simply just drop by (((hugs))). It is food for the card makers soul :) You bless me daily, and I have so enjoyed getting to know many of you on a deeper level.
Have a blessed weekend and I'll make sure I eat some turkey, sweet potatoes, cranberry, cherry pie etc. for those of you who aren't celebrating this weekend :D

I Love You So Much
This Just Add Ink sketch was the perfect sketch to work with today as time was tight.
I decided to use hearts for the focal image on the right hand side and got to use my new PTI Signature Sayings set too. Love the mix of fonts in this set :) The hearts are embossed with one of the leaves from the Stylized Flowers embossing folder to tie in with the leaves on the hearts, and I added a button on each heart for a little something. Had fun using the ruffled ribbon technique again too :)
Gotta run, lots to get done today :) Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Colour Throwdown Meets Just Add Ink
I loved this week's Colour Throwdown as well as the Just Add Ink sketch so a double challenge card was in order.
I didn't have pumpkin pie so I had to go with Only Orange and it was a stinker of a colour to photograph - ugh!! Did the best I could to tone it down in Photoshop, but it still looks brighter and darker than it actually is on the card - trust me on that LOL!
Being that I am still on a Vintage Vogue kick (sorry....just love this set!!), I decided to ink up two of the stamps in the set which haven't seen any love yet. The vine image is stamped in VersaMark on the right hand side of the blue panel (bit hard to see, but it shows up much more in real life and balances off the ribbon wonderfully) and the friend stamp fit perfectly in the half circle.
Since I had so much fun making the ruffled ribbon on my last card, I decided to do it again, only this time with a wider ribbon. Love how much dimension it gives a card! May have to get some more double sided tape at this rate LOL!
Kids are counting how many days of school are left and I am still in deep denial about it LOL! Weather has been yucky for weeks now, however, when it is rainy out it does make it a lot easier to stay inside and stamp!
Have a fabulous day, and consider this card made for all of you, my cyber friends, as a thank you for your visits and comments on my blog (((hugs))).
