A layout and video tutorial by Nadia!

Hi everyone! It's Nadia Cannizzo here with you today :)

Today I wanted to show you a special layout I created for Riddersholm Design for September. This is the first time I have scrapped a photo of myself during my recent pregnancy. I do not have many photos of my pregnant self and it was for this reason I decided 2 weeks before I gave birth to push myself to look half decent and go up the local park and take some shots LOL. I was 38 weeks along here,  and this was actually Mother's Day 2013 and I was so anxious for the safe delivery of my baby. I remember everything very clearly and this is one of the reasons I had not wanted to go there yet with my scrapping.... I really have not been ready to scrap those emotions yet.

But the gorgeous purple of the Chantilly Dawn collection , together with the soft neutrals of some other Riddersholm Design papers forced me to use this photo which had a purple colour in it.

Chantilly Dawn layout with Nadia!

Hi there everyone.

It's Nadia Cannizzo here with you today!

I wanted to show you a layout I created using one of my favourite collections, Chantilly Dawn!

"Dream" layout by Nadia Cannizzo
For this layout, I used the Chantelle paper as my base, and mounted it onto the Chanelle paper which is a beautiful rich purple and gold, to create a contrast.

I then used gesso on the Chantelle paper because I wanted a more neutral background.

I used a Prima marketing mask (Brick Wall and Circle Lattice) , together with some pastel brown ink and thicker gesso to create the patterns on my background.

I then applied strips of Chantelle and Chanelle paper, together with mesh tape and masking tape to create more texture on my background.

The white flowers are Riddersholm Design Ink It flowers . I simply inked them with a soft brown colour. The rest of the flowers are a mixture of older and new Prima Marketing flowers.

The writing you can see above, is Kaisercraft rub ons which I had difficulty removing from the plastic so decided to just stick them down with the plastic in place.

I really LOVED altering the chipboard you can see behind the picture. It is called Name Plate Plaque and it is from Twiddleybitz! To alter it, I applied 2 coats of gesso and let it dry. I then used Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze in Indian Summer to coat the whole piece well. Once that dried, I applied Viva Decor Inka Gold in Gold colour to give it a shiny and textured finish. This product is awesome and it is a very thick paste which dried quickly and gives embellishments an instant aged look. I applied it with my finger tips i random places.  Because the Gold was actually a little strong for this layout, once it dried I went over it with a few dabs of a Pastel Brown Chalk Fluid from Prima.

I used Cheery Lynn's Nautical Wheeler Doily die and Collette paper to create the doily you can see above.

Just above you can see in the background I have used a stamp. It is from the Riddersholm Designs shop and it is called Beauty Advert
The little love heart is from Prima Marketing Vintage Findings collection.

To create black splatters quickly, I used Tattered Angels Black Magic mist and splattered it in random places.

June Inspiration from Nadia

Hi there everyone.

It's Nadia Cannizzo here with you today, sharing with you my latest creation using two Riddersholm Designs collections.

I altered a Kaisercraft wooden bag using papers, flowers and trims from the Riddersholm Designs shop

The papers I used here are from the Huntington Gardens and Fleamarket

The flowers you can see above, were created with the Friends paper from Huntington Gardens and Spellbinders Donna Salazar Rose Creations die.

The white flowers are Riddersholm Design Ink It flowers which I left white.

The sentiment With Love is  from the Fleamarket  die cut sheet

The various trims you can see above are also available in the store HERE

A card with Huntington Garden by Nadia!

Hi there everyone.

It's Nadia Cannizzo here with you today, sharing with you my latest creation using the gorgeous Huntington Garden collection.

This is a pretty quick card to put together. The base of the card is created with Summerfield paper and some vintage lace.
I then placed a paper doily over the crease of the card and topped that with some die cuts from the Huntington paper collection, a couple of vintage buttons.

Thank you for dropping by today!

May inspiration from Nadia!

Hi there everyone.

It's Nadia Cannizzo here with you today, sharing with you my latest creation using a few Riddersholm Designs collections.

I decided that I had quite a few scraps in my DT box , so rather than cut into more gorgeous paper I used all my left over bits on the cover of this notebook.

I started by creating my base with Huntington Garden, Flea Market and Chantilly Dawn and different types of trim, mesh tape and gesso.

I then used my Zutter Bind-It-All to bind my book together.

Here you can see a chipboard birdcage from Leaky Shed Studio. I treated it with gesso and then with thick white acrylic paint, before mounting it onto Fleamarket paper.

And just above, you will notice the handmade paper flower. I created a few flowers using Spellbinders Donna Salazar Rose Creations die and a variety of scraps from the Huntington Garden, Fleamarket and Chantilly Dawn collections.

The little resin bird you can see above is also from Riddersholm Design.

6 - Layout using Chantilly Dawn

Hi everyone. Its Nadia here.

Today I wanted to share with you a layout I created with the gorgeous Chantilly Dawn collection. You can find it right HERE.

And if you are interested in getting some of these collections , you can check out the stockists HERE

My layout is called "Six" . This is how old my oldest daughter turned this past September. The photo I have used here is not the best as its from my iphone , but I think it still captures the moment.

At the back of the layout, I have included journalling about the tradition we have every year on the girls's birthdays. As their birthdays are 1 day apart we do the same every year for both of them. That is, I buy them  a little cupcake and before we go off to work/school etc we blow their candle just us 4 as a family. Then of course, the following weekend after that we usually have their BIG party!

I also used a gorgeous stamp from the Riddersholm shop on my background...

I cut out this butterfly using papers from Chantilly Dawn and my Silhouette Cameo

Thank you for visiting today and if you wanted to see more of my work, please go HERE

Bye for now!
