Priorities

Used a sample pack this morning.
Loved it soooooo much, felt so dewy face.
Thought of getting it for myself and for my Sis' BD.........

No wonder it's so good..... cos its so expensive.

So!   Before I ever buy this, I will have to give my Mom a token allowance, and Bren also a token allowance, THEN, I will feel less guilty splurging on myself...........   very silly but I have humanly desires.

Finally found

As the date draws nearer, I got anxious trying to find the right gown for my director's wedding. 

Firstly, I have fat, jello-arms...... so it is hard to carry off anything sleeveless. 

Secondly, I have two, long scars at the armpits. They are dark-red, bold and long, so it's quite hard not to stare and I don't want to see people trying to hide their shocked faces. Some masseurs told me they thought I had boobs job done.

I had shopped at a dozen boutiques, big & small, including departmental stores the past month and was relenting that I might be under-dressed again, so as a last attempt, I asked of the Universe to "send me a nice gown for under $100". 

Finally, on Friday, of all places, I found a suitable gown at OG Orchard. OG is a place my aunts get their brassieres and nice heels, and those NINA dinner dresses for the elders. But it really doesn't matter where I found my dress as long as I'm able to feel comfortable in it. The in-built sash could cover-up the scars on my under arms, yay!

Winging that Winged Look

 I'm trying to smudge a larger portion of eye make-up to get thick winged eyes but I couldn't repeat the same shape for both eyes so I try to dab a little first. Perhaps over the next few tries I would make it bolder and smokier. I've not been able to repeat the eye colours symmetrically because I'm not that skillful, also my eyes and face is imbalanced and it worsened with age and tiredness. Haven't been using my face-lifting gadgets for ages. But nothing stops me from having fun with my make-up. 

Getting used to the hair colour, despite having coloured hair since 14, this colour  is a tad too scarlet for me. During school days, we did't have budget for hair saloons, we simply purchase bleaching powder and peroxide chemical from Guardian Pharmacy to tint our hair. The trick to stay within limits was to have a hint of brown tint that appeared dark indoors and brightens up outdoors. I've always gotten away with it.

It all began with the above bracelet. It's rather plain but many people stopped to tell me that it looks nice.

So since I was gonna get Christmas presents, I might as well get some bracelets & charms for the few ladies in my life.

This is for me. I wanna go go-karting, been wanting to do it for ages and have never gotten round to do it.

Hair Bow

 I can tell you; I'm hopeless with any sort of tying of hair. I can't even tie a neat ponytail but I do enjoy looking at all sorts of pleats, plaits and braids hairstyles cos they are so dainty. I came across a short demo video on FB and was inspired to try because it looked easy. So here are the Hair Bow & Snake Braid.

Shades Galore

(The recent lag in blogging is due to my PC's inability in detecting the iPhone after updating iOS. Finally relented and installed iTunes on my PC in order to access the photos. So, ya, thanks for coming back.)

Okay, shades galore! 
I have been a long-time user of sunglasses but I have never indulged in getting any expensive pairs.
All I care about is it being polarized, and the pioneer polarized ones were mostly used by fishing and golfing enthusiasts sold over Royal Sporting House which wasn't that expensive considering its unsung effectiveness and benefits. Most fashion brands did not catch on with polarizing their lens even until now. But Oakley did. So now,,,, I have no reasons wearing fisherman's shades! LOVL. Ha2.

Still, I didn't jump right in to get them when I saw them.  Instead, I tong banged my colleague who goes to the OTC show at Houston yearly to get them for me. Effectively saving $800 for me, how nice!
They came just in time for Bren's BD gift last Sunday, and of course three lovely pairs for me. (grin from ear to ear).
 

Last Friday Night

Looking rather terrible without make-up, I was having flu... feeling very sleepy but I don't like to take rain cheques. I had agreed on a cheong date with my friend and she had waited since last Nov hence I just hung-in-there and forced myself to brighten my face with some make-up and made the effort to curl my hair. No one needs to know how you actually feel (you know). As long as you play your part and look your part, they don't have to know your misery. That's my motto actually. I rested a while at her place while she showered and dolled up, and that was enough recharged energy to last me till 4 am. Wow, I actually enjoyed the sleazy pub. It was really sleazy, but the super loud dance music was good, and it was interesting to watch the performers dance to K-pop tunes and funky dance moves. I even told my friend to scout for K-pop dance class and we will go learn to groove.

 I've reunited with an old hair dresser. For now, it's lots of ash brown streaks.

A Pleasant Surprise

My classmate - Syasya, bought me a traveling kit consisting various gels, cleanser and moisturizers, the kit comes with a nano steamer that emits very fine droplets of water (in the form of cool steam), supposedly the technology enables our skin to better absorb the water as the steam is somewhat nano, nano in size (haha)

Well, basically, she thanks me for firstly, encouraging her to persevere with the course and now we're almost completing our studies (every time she felt like skipping class, she will ask if i will be attending. every time i replied - yes- she felt more motivated to also make the effort. that's what she told me). 

Secondly, she being the leader of our last grouping, she had felt that the other members had overly relied on my input and she felt that i was too giving, given that every member will enjoy the grades without much input. So,,,,, ya. It's nice to be appreciated especially when I have no expectations. 

So ya,,, hope this gadget puts some freshness back onto my very tired skin. LOL.
