Freebie Friday - #16 and Featured Product week 1

Happy Friday PumpkinSpice Fans...

Oh, I love Freebie Friday!

Today is the 1st week PumpkinSpice is adding the Featured Product series to the line up.

What is the Featured Product about?

Product I enjoy using, enjoy looking at, yep I can just stare at some of these papers and feel relaxes or excited and happy.. crazy how paper can have that type of effect. {smiles}

The featured product will not always be the Freebie Friday item, but you will see it incorporated throughout the week in other posts.

This week I want to call attention to Bazzill Cardstock Solids.

I first purchased Bazzill Classic White and Black Canvas cardstock when I was making my Son and Daughter-in-laws wedding invitations in 2011.

That is when I fell in love with their product.

Then I got my hands on some Dotted Swiss and some Two Scoop... oh my goodness.

The papers have a wonderful texture ingrained into the paper, elimintating the need to emboss, for a quick card.

The weight of the Cardstock is perfect for a card of substance, meaning you can use light weight papers for the layers and the card still stands on its own with no troubles.

FREEBIE FRIDAY is this lot of 13 - 12x12 sheets of solid Bazzill Cardstock.

To be eligible for the Freebie today, simply do 2 things:
  • 1. Leave a comment
  • 2. Go to Challenge #66 and vote for your favorite project.  You can vote for up to 3 submissions. Check out the projects... amazing!)
  • Not required but I would love to see you as a new friend on the PumpkinSpice Facebook Page.

Reminders!!

Submit your project for Challenge #67 HERE by Friday, April 18th Midnight (PST)
and

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration with Heather - Card

Good morning - Heather from Houses Built of Cards excited to be stopping by to share! Life in our household has been a bit on the crazy side - we were gone visiting family for 2 weeks over Thanksgiving, then came home the next day and got a new puppy. Not quite sure what I was thinking, but this girl has been going crazy not getting to craft! So I was super excited yesterday afternoon to have a few spare moments to put together this super simple set of cards using some Bazzil White Cardstock, and Echo Park's 12x12 Everyday Eclectic sticker sheet

I simply made my cardbases, and adhered my stickers. I took some of the elements and powdered the back of them so I could attach foam adhesive for a bit of dimension, otherwise these are very simple one layer cards!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration with Marlene - Card

Hi Shop Pumpkin Spice Followers!

This is Marlene from ScrappinCookie! Thank You for joining me here today at the Pumpkin Spice Blog!

I love getting the most out of my 6x6 Paper Pads and today's quick and simple card shows just that. For today's card I've used up scraps from my My Mind's Eye Winter Wonderland 6x6 Paper Pad. You can find the MME Winter Wonderland 6x6 Paper Pad at the Shop Pumpkin Spice Store  on SALE for ONLY $3.35! What a STEAL!!

I started by adding the strips of papers to a piece Bazzill Kraft Cardstock and then sewed around the edges. I then adhered the Kraft Cardstock Mat to a card base made from Carta Bella Ultra Felt White Cardstock.

The card was embellished with a chipboard star from my stash that had been previously painted white and glittered. To it I added some green jingle bells and a bow made from Maraschino Baker's Twine - available at Shop Pumpkin Spice

I finished off the card by adding a few green dots from the My Mind's Eye Kate & Co Oxford Lane Enamel Dots - available at the Shop Pumpkin Spice Ebay Store.

I hope you have enjoyed my ShopPumpkinSpice Inspiration! ALL products used in my card can be found at the ShopPumpkinSpice Store and/or Shop Pumpkin Spice Ebay Store.

SPS Inspiration with Denine - Birthday Banner

Good Morning Friends,

My oldest son turned 23 this week... Happy Birthday Baby Boy

He is a HUGE fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers football team... I mean HUGE.
and sadly for him... his mother doesn't follow any sport her child is not playing!

I made him this banner for his birthday... I think it turned out pretty good considering I have only made 2 banners EVER!!

Here is the LOGO... so easy to do with the CAMEO.  I just found a file via Google... and pasted it right into the Designer Edition software for Silhouette Cameo... used the Print and Cut feature... and presto...

All the banner pieces are from 2 files at the Silhouette Online store.  Combined them and came up with all sorts of layers that worked together.   And for only $1.98 total... can not beat that!

Lots of dimensional adhesive.  I love Zots 3D dots... they are so strong and clear... so they work for all sorts of project.  They are in between the size of a dime and pencil top eraser, so when I need to be smaller for a project, I am able to simply cut them to the size I need.  Really like that!

Here is the card I made to go with it!  Same colors, and shapes.

And a little inside message.  I put a black piece of cardstock behind the yellow so that the edge punch stood out a bit.  I know the punch is not perfectly lined up... it was a last minute thought.   Still adds a little something.

Supplies:

Cameo
Bazzill Cardstocks - Yellow, Black, White
Sentiments - Fiskar Birthday Wishes

Remember - there is still time to VOTE for Challenge #37 projects and
SUBMIT your Project for Challenge #38.

Have a fabulous FRIDAY!!

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration with Missy ~ Layout

Good morning everyone!

This is Missy here with a little Shop Pumpkin Spice inspiration for you!!  For my project this week, I decided to do another scrapbook layout.  I don't know about you, but I'm starting to get in the mood for fall.  We're going to be heading back to school in the next couple of weeks, and once summer vacation is over, fall is my very favorite time of year.  I found some photos I took of my little guy a couple of years back at a children's petting zoo and here's what I created with them!

The pattern paper I used is from Crate Paper's Little Boy Blue paper collection.  The brown pattern piece has a wood grain look, and there are silhouettes of different farm animals drawn on there--perfect for my photos!!  The striped strips of paper I added were from this collection as well.  Here's a close up of the left page.

The cardstock I used in this layout is from Bazzill.  I used the Rope Swing embossed paper as the base, background piece on each page.  The gold strips and photo mats are cut from the Honey embossed paper.  The red strips and the barn are cut from Phoenix and the orange strips are cut from Pumpkin Pie.  They are embossed with swiss dots as well.  I love, love these cardstock papers.  The colors are perfect for fall layouts and cards, and the embossing adds such a nice touch.  Here's a close up of the right page.

I was just so  happy with the way this layout turned out!!  Thanks so much for stopping by today to check it out!!  Happy crafting!!

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration with Marlene - Card

Hello Everyone!

This is Marlene from ScrappinCookie!

After some time away from crafting and Shop Pumpkin Spice, I'm so happy to be back here today to share with you a "Christmas in July" Card. Not only do I have a Christmas Card ready for when December comes around, but I was able to use up some of my Christmas Papers.

I started with some Bazzill Kraft Cardstock for my card's base and Echo Park Paper's Season Greetings Collection. This is one of my favorite Christmas Collections - it has lots of RED, GREEN with some of BLUE papers.

The Gingerbread Man was cut out with my Cricut from Core'dinations' Burnt Sugar Vintatge Cardstock. The "Frosting" was cut from Carta Bella's Felt Ultra White Cardstock and then sprinkled with clear glitter.

I tied some Red Grosgrain Ribbon around the card and layered it with Kraft Baker's Twine and Gold Jingle Bells. I stamped my sentiment with my Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad - this is my FAVORITE Black Ink Pad, I get clean fine details all the time.

I hope you have enjoyed my ShopPumpkinSpice Inspiration! ALL products used in my card can be found at the ShopPumpkinSpice Store.

Not only does ShopPumpkinSpice carry Top Quality and Reliable Brands, but you will find most items at a discounted price - 30% off to be exact! And as if that's not enough, ShopPumpkinSpice is adding SALE items DAILY! Be sure to check out the SALE ITEMS section of the store.
