Anthology Issue 7 Sneak Preview!

The spring 2012 issue of Anthology Magazine debuts this week, and I'm over the moon to say that my home is included inside...

The mag will start showing up in mailboxes and stores soon. Until then, here's a sneak preview that includes a few pages from my feature, which was shot by the fabulously talented Courtney Apple and is entitled "Bold and Beautiful":

I'll have much more to say and share as this issue comes out, but let me just express now how honored I am to be included in such a beautiful publication. It was a thrill to work with the fabulous editors Meg Mateo Ilasco and Anh-Minh Le and writer Lauren McCutcheon, and of course the lovely Ms. Apple. I can't say how thankful I am to have been able to work with each of you.

Now, to see the actual magazine in print... I can't wait!

dream life

This is the kind of home and life I truly aspire to. Funky, bohemian interiors, amazing entertaining spaces, temple-like dressing room full of glamorous clothes, and a yard full of lovely farm critters to take care of...

Someday, if I'm lucky, I will be sitting on my sofa in my ocelot coat feeding carrots to a miniature horse most certainly named Balthazar, and I will be in heaven....

making me crazy

Photobucket

This bedroom, featured in Ladies Home Journal and designed by the lovely mother-daughter team of Good Bones, Great Pieces, is making me crazy with desire. While designed as a child's bedroom, all it needs is a larger bed to make it perfect for moi. Love the Scalamandre wallpaper, love the green settee.. swoon...

fantasy house

While on a flight back from Savannah the other day I found myself swooning over this home designed by Fawn Galli. Everything about it is perfect, right down to the fluffy grey poodle on the bed...

This Keith Haring/Kelly Wearstler-inspired graffiti wall by Nicole of Sketch42 is the most fabulous thing ever. I might finally have to try a project like this in my house! I'm totally inspired...

obsessed and inspired {marcus hay)

I can't get enough of these lovely interiors from stylist Marcus Hay. So much here inspires me in regards to my own home. The french doors would be perfect for letting more light in, and the gray walls are the perfect backdrop for the works of art and whimsical collections. For more eye candy...

a rainy day...

Photobucket

It's been grey and gloomy in Philadelphia this week, which has me craving softly-muted interiors such as this lovely one above. The color palette is so relaxing, but I like that there's still lots to look at with the gallery-style walls and unique accessories. Hopefully the sun will return soon, but for now having spaces like this to dream about isn't a bad thing.

Pal + Smith's newly designed boutique, with it's cool book wall, bold pops of color and bits of sparkle and shine, makes me totally happy. So does Christian Louboutin's miniature Trash handbag! I'll take either...or both!

hallway inspiration

Photobucket

I've been working on my master hallway/dressing area for the past few weeks, trying to make it more funky, fashionable and cozy too. In my search for inspiration, I keep returning to this delightful space belonging to actress Amy Sedaris. I love that there is so much going on in a narrow space, with the flocked Osbourne and Little wallpaper and framed pictures and wooden bats. It's certainly an example of "more is more," which I'm all about!

happy monday + pretty patio

Photobucket

Seeing this adorable patio has me thinking about redecorating my own outdoor space. Even though it's late summer, I figure there's still enough time to enjoy a sunny little sitting area, especially if it includes a yellow-fringed umbrella! Perhaps I have a project ahead of me for next weekend. I hope this past weekend was a lovely one for all of you, it certainly was for me. Looking forward to sharing more colorful, end of summer inspiration as the week goes on!

Love everything, especially the wall colors, in these spaces. The charcoal in particular really makes the book covers pop....
