Thanks

Good morning and welcome to 2014! I have enjoyed my extra time creating, it has given me a chance to play along with the SCS challenges. Lots of people start anew in the beginning of a year, make plans and set goals; if you are one of those people I have a suggestion for you. The supporters Cards For A Cause mission at SCS send their unused or even new cards to the "cause" spotlighted each month. You can join us in the support, it is a great way to give back and help us help others. Here is the link to this month's cause. We also have an OPTIONAL challenge each month to get your creativity going. This month it is to use grey, I luv grey and it is quickly becoming the new black. Speaking of new, I am playing along with Simon Says Stamp too...something new.

Masculine Birthday

I created this for my good friend Deb's challenge of nautical, she has a challenge at the end of every month called Last But Not Least, check it out and play along!  I luv this SU set, it is perfect for those manly creations.  I used the sketch from SCS today, keeping it on the CAS side.  I added scoring that comes out and meets the birthday sentiment.  I added stitching, distressing, and burlap string.  I changed up the shapes a bit from the originally sketch, you know me always making it my own...hehehehe.  These challenges are great to get a few manly cards completed, don't forget The Last But Not Least challenge!  Have a super day and give the man in your life a big hug and a shout out of encouragement....enjoy!

Sweet Ellie

Hello friends, I am a little late getting a creation to you today.  I have busy cleaning, wrapping gifts, and designing some last minute tags and cards.  I do enjoy the hustle and bustle just a bit, I do not let it stress me, I try to enjoy the Christmas cheer!  I am sharing this adorable elephant from JustRite called Ellie Time, isn't that the cutest face, so sweet.  I added a glass glittery heart in his hands, a carnival ticket with the sentiment "I love you".  I distressed the edges, added stitching, and curled the corner in for more texture and detail.  I used the copic paper X-Press for the main image.  I heat embossed it using Judikins embossing powder
and then colored the image with copics.  I used today's SC312 and the Color Q, CQC64 colors.  I want to encourage you to remain calm during the next couple of days, the only thing that matters is each other and remembering the real reason we celebrate Christmas.  The birth of Christ, our Lord and Savior.  Enjoy.

Merry & Bright

Hi friends, I hope you are ready for the Thanksgiving day feast, I know I am....yummy.  As I look back on this year I have so much to be thankful for, it has been a rough year but there where so many blessings too!  I hope that you will take time to reflect on the past year and give thanks.  Onto today's creation, I rarely get the chance to play with the SCS challenges anymore.  But for my card today I combined two challenges, the color and sketch challenge.  I used the gorgeous JustRite stamp set called Christmas Treasure and a tresure it is for sure.  The cherry cobbler colored scrolled circle is stunning, I luv it and all the other stamps in the set are fabulous too, you got to check it out!  I punched out the snowflake and the adorned it with the chunky vintage glass glitter(I luv this glitter) using glossy accents by Ranger.  I also used a little Frayed Burlap Ink by Tim Holtz for the worn look.  I made my sentiment a tag, there I go again with the tags.....I can't help it, I luv the look!  I hope you have a blessed day...you are the best...enjoy!

In Bloom Birthday

Hi peeps, I have a birthday card to share with you today.  I have been cleaning around here and haven't gotten much stamping in, be sure to keep a check this weekend *wink* I plan on changing that.  I used the great sketch from SCS295 , the colors from TCD107, and the challenge over in the SCS forum from Technique Tuesdays, TTSCS3 to use one of the little treasures sets.  I stamped a garden of flowers, added tenie tiny bling to the centers, and added that ruffled ribbon.  That is the latest technique being shown at SCS, don' ya luv it?  You can see the how to's here.  Ribbon is one of my favorite embellishments and there are countless ways to use it. Even though I have tons of ribbon, I cannot wait until I can order that new yummy cherry cobbler ribbon from SU, boy oh boy is that gorgeous!  Thanks to all for your continued support and comments, you stopping by and taking time to comment really makes me smile.....you will never know.  There are some that do not have blogs for me to visit and comment back, to those people I am waving with both hands, thank you!  Enjoy
