Paperbabe Stamps ~ Queen of Hearts

We're introducing the Queen of Hearts on the Paperbabe Stamps Blog today...
Meet our new addition to our grown up digital collection, this beauty is inspired by the powerful Queen of hearts, complimenting the Alice in wonderland theme.
I've printed off the faint line version, I love that the eyes are still black and how they pop, much easier than trying to go over the eyes with a black pen. She was calling to be coloured with copics, I thought I would try some new cardstock I had but never again lol, it just doesn't take the inks well, whatever coating is on the card seems to interfere with the copic ink. I had to place scrap paper over areas as the ink was coming off and transferring to other parts I had coloured. But I was committed by then so carried on lol!
I was inspired by Tim Burtons Queen of Hearts for her colours but I've added a little heart to her face from the Kawaii Face stamp set instead of her beauty spot.
I teamed her up with the looking glass patterned papers from Kaisercraft.
and these are the copics I used.

I thought I would enter my card into a few challenges...
Cutie pie challenge #90 ~ Cute and Girly
sweet stamps challenge #234 ~ Anything Goes
stamp and create ~ One for the girls
Crafting from the heart #72 ~ Anything Goes

Thank you so much for stopping by,
Enjoy a wonderfully creative day!

Paperbabe Stamps ~ Kawaii Face stamps & Adorimal Digi Collection

We're introducing the Kawaii face stamp set and Adorimal Digi stamps on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today

Here's a bundle of samples I created using the faint outline digis... sooo cute
Using sentiment from Just Because
Using sentiment from DesignA Knit
Using sentiment from Just Because
Using sentiment from Mayleedee Little Red

Well I ended up creating a little bundle of mini 4" cards, with cute envelopes with stamped faces on, I think these faces might be popping up on many things now... (is anything safe?) The tag uses the digi head, I simply cut the card at a funky angle and stamped love and hearts, I think they've showed up on every card too lol!

Here's the colours I've used for this whole set, oooh and a new sharpie white marker for those sparkle dots.

I would love to enter these into a few crafty challenges:

Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing in our release today, I hope you're just as excited about this release a my children, it's currently their all time favourite set, their creativity with these stamps have been totally brilliant!

Enjoy a wonderfully creative day!!!

Paperbabe Stamps ~ Mayleedee in Wonderland

Welcome, I'm so pleased you stopped by today,
Well you'll be pleased to know the new releases are now in the Shop... YAY!

It's the finale day of introductions and we're introducing
Mayleedee in Wonderland

It has been quite some time since Mayleedee graced us and what better way than to help celebrate Alice in Wonderlands 150th Anniversary(isn't she's doing well?)

She is currently available as a digital stamp, she comes in JPEG & PNG format. She is created large enough for you to print large OR scale down to a smaller size! I'm providing you with six images, three in jpeg and their counterparts as png.

Here's my sample
I've added the quote using the Watercolour alphabet stamp set.
I chose the faint outline version, which I've coloured using copic markers
I've tried to keep it clean and simple,
I am mostly inspired by the first time I saw Alice's adventures in Wonderland a 1972 film with Fiona Fullerton as Alice, she certainly didn't have blond hair and her look always stayed with me.

I thought I would enter my card to a few fun challenges:
Well it's been quite a hectic week, the first release in some time, I'm pretty banjaxed right now, but I will be back next week to share some projects!
Enjoy a wonderfully creative weekend

Chocolate & Pistachio.....

The challenge on the BasicGrey blog this week is you favourite ice cream flavour...
My love for Chocolate & Pistachio ice cream is from a Greek restaurant I used to work in as a student, myself and a friend could be found sharing a beach comber before our shift...mmmmmm delish!!! But we always worked it off by dancing the Zorba about four or five times a night for the customers, LOL! My other all time favourite is Vanilla and I love the clotted cream variety! So my card combines all three... using the divine Porcelain papers!

Thought it was about time I actually used one of my own images LOL! I have printed this image onto my usual stamping card, I managed to get four on one sheet which is great! I have coloured her using my ice cream flavour inspired copics. I used a long rectangle to cut to look a bit like a panoramic shot. You can find this FREE image on this post would love to see what you create, leave me a comment and I will come and take a peek!! Click on the close ups to enlarge!!!

A card and MY NEWS... (a long post)

OK third post in one day (((shock))) so please scroll down for my dt cards for BG and CCSR. I failed to mention just how behind I have got this week there's so many birthdays this time of year, this card I was meant to post on Thursday, I did in fact make it last Sunday... I know a week later I hope I'm just in time to post it for the two challenges... yes I've used the fab sketch from CPS and Jo picked my favourite colours on the Colour create blog...

My brief was for a male card that's retro and not too much on it but with the name and age (?) so here's the result... I have die cut the dog tag from yummy grunge board and passed it through a sizzix embossing folder. I love the effect, I have simply blended over with some distress inks. The name and age have been die cut raised on foam and the top letters I have gone over with a little glossy accents. Click images to enlarge.

Materials:
Paper: WRMK -
Nonsense Pad Of Papers & Embellishments, grunge board, DCWV - textured,
Ink: distress inks,
Die's: Sizzix - Dog Tags, alphabet - graffiti, corner punch,
Other: Sizzix - embossing folder, Glossy accents, grommet, Big Bite, glue dots, 3Dimensional foam,

So on to my news.... I think I should have done another post for this but will add more info tomorrow... Some of you may know that I have designed some stamp images for Amy of Pink Papery Studios

So when I tried my link from my blog the other day what did I find... They're all GONE she has just erased me from the site, she has also deleted the Pink Papery studio group in the craft planet forum. I have a trusting, gentle nature and feel really heart broken and very used... I wouldn't mind if she could not commit to making the stamps but I have had NO communications from her in fact so so many emails I have sent have never been replied to and quite a lot have been returned because yes she changed her email address with out telling me took me ages to sift through different sites and find a contact. So what did I get for all the hours it took me to create images on her terms, sometimes drawing through the night to stop only to feed Maoleidigh? Nothing!!! not a penny or even an email to mention she is not selling stamps anymore.

Don't worry it hasn't deterred me... I intend to start out on my own and follow suit where many have created digital stamps and then all I will need is to find a stamp manufacturer of my own!!! So seeing as the artist has the right to the images this one is for all of you, on me... enjoy, save it and print it out as much as you like but please don't pass it off as you own and If you do use it I would love to see what you have created.

This one is called a night in, Click on the image to download, the watermarking won't be on yours. Wow if you've read this far thank you so much, and hope you have a wonderful May weekend, thank you for all your birthday wishes, I've had a blast this week we went to see this band Slainte last night (fantastic) and the most beautiful cards coming through my letter box brought a tear to my eye, thank you girls!!!
