Here is a masculine birthday card I created recently. It seems that every time I go to my "stash" to find a birthday card, I never seem to have the kind I'm looking for! I seem to need more masculine and child birthday cards in my stash!
This week was Mark Tilman's birthday. Most of you know him as "Mr. Verve". :) I wanted to send him a card using Verve stamps, of course, but everything I found was too "girly" or "sparkly" or just NOT for a guy! LOL I used the Birthday Bash set for my card as well as the Classy Label Die. All of the papers were from my long neglected paper scrap stash. . .boy do I need to sort through that!
Thanks for stopping by today! The weather in Pittsburgh is absolutely beautiful today! Spring is coming and I am so excited! Hope you're enjoying your day!

Happy Bird-day!
Last week I was able to play along with the Ways To Use It Challenge on SCS. I used to play along with the SCS Challenges a lot, but I just can't seem to find the time lately. Last week's challenge was Happy Birthday. . .to create something with a birthday theme. I used the Birthday Buddies set from Paper Smooches for my card. I stamped the sentiment repeatedly in different colors along the bottom of the card. I added a score line above the sentiments. The bird was stamped twice, once on the card front and once on another piece of cardstock, cut out and layered on top of the card image with dimensional adhesive. Finally, I added a few star rhinestones.
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you're having a great day! Gratitude
Here is another card I was able to create for the Make It Monday Challenge at Papertrey Ink, a Go-To Sentiment Card. Basically you can use as many or as little stamp sets as you like and create a card with all sentiments. For my card today, I tore a piece of computer paper in half a curve and used it as a mask for my cardfront. So, the sentiments were stamped straight across the card, but follow the curve because of the mask. The stamp sets I used were ``Vintage Picnic Sentiments, Damask Designs, Giga Guide Lines and It's Official.
I die cut the butterfly with the Butterfly Die and used the Sunshine Impression Plate on it. I added some black rhinestones to the butterfly and paper pierced a flight trail for the butterfly. The last touch was the black cardstock edge that I cut using the Edger's #1 Collection die.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you're having a wonderful Sunday! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Spiral Bouquet, Vintage Picnic Sentiments, Damask Designs, Giga Guide Lines, It's Official (PTI); Ink- Onyx Black (Versafine); Paper- Stamper's Select White, Pure Poppy, True Black (PTI); Accessories- Edger's #1 Collection, Butterfly Die, Sunshine Impression Plate (PTI); Finished card measures 4.25"x5.5"

The Joy of the Lord
Happy Friday! Hope you're looking forward to the weekend. . .I know I sure am! :) I was able to play along with this week's Mojo Monday Challenge. I used the Serenity set from Verve. I inked the flower image up with Bamboo Leaves and Rhubarb Stalk Dew Drops and then colored the centers in a bit with Copic markers. I added a little glitter too! I die cut the flower using the Flowers 3-D die from Sizzix. The paper is from the Early Bird Collection from Cosmo Cricket.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend! Girly, You Rock!
Today's card was created for the Papertrey Ink Tag Download Challenge this past week. I used Dawn's tag from the free download to create this card along with a sentiment from her Signature Greetings set. I printed quite a few of the tags and then lined them up on the card to create a giant polka dot pattern and trimmed them around the card.
I added some Kraft cardstock along the bottom and stamped it with the sentiment. I tied some Hawaiian Shores ribbon around the card. I still needed something to balance out the card, so I die cut a butterfly using the Butterfly die on True Black cardstock. I added a little bling to the butterfly as well. The last little touch was using the Edgers #1 Die on the bottom of the card. I love that little extra detail it adds!

Home Sweet Home
With all of the snow that's been falling everywhere, I wanted to create a wintry card using the Cozy Cottages set from Taylored Expressions. After all, some of the coziest cottages are the ones that are tucked in a hillside of snow with steamy windows and smoke coming out of the chimney, right? :) I decided to use the birdhouse image from the set. (Remember, this set is this quarter's TE Giving Tree set. February through April 2011, TE will donate $7.00 for each Cozy Cottages stamp set sold to Habitat for Humanity!!) I colored the image with Copic markers, cut it out and then added some Polar White Flower Soft.
I die cut the tree using the Whimsy Tree Die and the fence using the Picket Fence Border Die and added the Flower Soft to those too. The background piece was cut using the Frame It Up 1 Die. I used the Wintertime Collection from Echo Park. The front edge of the card was die cut using the Large Scallop Border Die.
Hope you're staying warm and cozy wherever you are! Thanks for stopping by! It is such a sweet set. It could work for silhouette images, or you can add a little color. I used the Restoration Collection from Crate Paper. I colored the image using Copic markers and added a bit of glitter.

Go-To Sentiment Card
Good morning! Today I have a card for the new Make It Monday Challenge that is happening over at Papertrey Ink. This week's challenge is a Go-To Sentiment card using different sentiments from as many (or as little) stamp sets as you like that are all centered around a certain theme. I created my card with a "Take Joy in the Little Things" kind of theme. I used SIX (yikes!) different stamp sets for my card. I used Little Lady, Framed, Mega Mixed Messages, Baby Button Bits, Handwritten Notes and Green Thumb. I tried to fit a ladybug from Little Lady on my card as an embellishment, but it just wasn't working. I did, however, use two of the little flowers from the set.
I added a large button to the one JOY sentiment and a stamped flower and smaller button to the other JOY sentiment. I added ScorTape around the edge of the Sweet Blush cardstock and added glitter. Last, I added some Berry Sorbet Swiss Dots ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you were inspired to create a Go-To Sentiment card! Have a wonderful day! Batty in Love
You've probably seen or heard that Kim Hughes has started her own stamp company called Paper Smooches! I have always been a big fan of Kim and her adorable style, so I was very excited to learn that she's making her own stamps! For my card, I used the Falling For You set along with a template Kim designed back when I was part of the Click Simple team at Papertrey Ink. All of her shaped templates in the Be My Valentine set are adorable, but I thought the LOVE card would be perfect with the bat.
I colored the bat using Copic markers and paper pieced the heart and mounted them with foam dimensionals. Then I stamped the sentiment and the hearts onto the card. It turned out super cute, don't you think?
Thanks for stopping by today! It's a BIG day today in Pittsburgh as you could imagine! I'm sure Superbowl Sunday is a big day for many, but it's ESPECIALLY big here today! ;) Have a wonderful day and GO STEELERS!!
