In the Corn Box

A few weeks back, we took the kids to a local farm that has hayrides, pumpkin picking, corn mazes, etc.  They were so excited to get there.  We didn't even make it to the hayrides for a long while because we couldn't get them out of the corn box.  There was this giant box filled with corn, shovels, buckets and dump trucks.  They LOVED it.  It was the Fall version of a sand box.  (and a lot less messy. . .it's easier to get pieces of corn out of a diaper than grains of sand!)

I created this digital page for the September Scrappy Sunday challenge on Paper Craft Planet.  I used the Harvest Spice Collection from Shabby Princess Designs.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great one!

Happy Birthday, Savannah!

Today is Savannah's birthday.  I know I say this with each child and with each birthday, but where does the time go?  They grow SO fast!  Savannah is 7 today!  I can't believe it's already seven years ago that I had her.  I still remember the night before going into the hospital so clearly.  I was having my first baby, my first surgery and my first hospital stay.  I was so nervous, but trying to stay focused on this beautiful blessing I would soon hold in my arms.  I can't believe that was seven years ago as it seems like just last week.  :)

Happy Birthday, my sweet, beautiful girl!  You are growing so fast and I wish I could stop it, but I love seeing the beautiful little lady you're becoming!  I love you, Sweet Pea!

This is a digital layout for the September Scrappy Sunday Challenges over at Paper Craft Planet.  I didn't think I was going to be able to play along this month, but here I am on the last day with one more layout left to complete!  I just may do it!  :)

I Love Being Your Mummy

Today I have a card for you using a digital image from AmberInk.  This is from the HeyLoWeen Kiddos images and it's called Mummy's Boy.  I colored the image using Copic markers.  The paper is from one of the new iPaper's, Spider Polka Dots Brights

My favorite part about this card is the sentiment.  I couldn't really find room for it on the front of the card, so I put it on the inside.  I just LOVE the sentiment though!  :)
There's another sentiment that works with this image and it's just as adorable. . .I'm glad you're my mummy!  So cute!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope your day is off to a great start!

Pie in the Sky

I have been asked to "carry the torch" for the month of September over at AmberInk and I'm very excited!  I got to work with their digis a few months ago when they opened up shop and it was a lot of fun!

Today I have a little sneak peek of something that's coming out at AmberInk tomorrow, September 20th!
There is a new digi set that's all about pie called Cutie Pie: Little Things and some new ipaper to coordinate!  Another addition starting tomorrow are some recipe cards to the Cutie Pie line!  Cutie Pie: Recipe Card!  They're great since you can resize them to fit your recipe card file!
I made my recipe card that size of a 4.25"x5.5" card so that I could slip it in there. . .possibly for a recipe swap or something like that!
You can check out the AmberInklings Blog as well as the rest of the Torchbearers for this month for more inspiration using the new sets!

Arwen

Here is another one of the digital scrapbook pages I created for the August Scrappy Sunday Challenge over at Papercraft Planet.  This page is all about my daughter Arwen.  I can almost never get a picture of her that isn't "posed" or "goofy".  It was nice to have some candid shots when she didn't think I was taking pictures.  :)  I used the Springaling Kit by Kaye Winiecki.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful Sunday!

Please

Here is another one of the pages I made for the August Scrappy Sunday Challenge at Papercraft Planet.  This is a picture of Isabelle.  She was sitting in the high chair whining to be let out.  I just couldn't resist taking a picture of that face!  LOL  This pages uses The Promise Collection from Shabby Princess Designs.

On another note, for any of you who are local, we are having a yard sale this Saturday from 8am-2pm. We will have LOTS of stamps and papercrafting supplies available, so please stop by if you're in the area!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful day!

Summer Girl

As you all know, I've recently become addicted to digital scrapbooking.  :)  I especially love using templates!  So, I got a message yesterday from my sweet friend and fellow Verve Diva, Jen Tapler.  She had no idea that I had started digital scrapbooking.  She told me she hosts the Scrappy Sunday Challenges at Papercraft Planet and thought I might like to play along.  Boy, would I!!!  I had no idea these challenges even existed, so imagine my excitement!  Each month there is a set a four templates that you can download (for free) and create your pages!  You can even win prizes for completing all four pages!  This is one of my pages for the August Scrappy Sunday Challenge.  I'll share my other three pages with you throughout the week.

For this page, I used the July 2009 Collection and Rainbow Sherbet Collection by Crystal Wilkerson.  The pictures were just a day spent in our backyard taking photos of the kids.

Thanks, Jen, for letting me know about the challenge!  I LOVE it!

Backyard Kisses

Here's another one of my latest digital scrapbook pages.  This one uses Summer Template 15 from Tiffany Tillman.  This picture was taken when Isaac was about 8 months old.  It's amazing when you look back on pictures how much you can really see how the kids have grown.  When you see them everyday, it's hard to notice the differences.  For instance, I can't believe I forgot how short Isaac's hair was.  Of course, it was still growing at that age, but now, friends of mine refer to his hair as "rockstar hair" since it's so long!  LOL

Savannah

Here's another one of the digital scrapbook pages I created.  This one uses Summer Template #16 by Tiffany Tillman.  This page is all about Savannah and her faces.  She's always making goofy faces.  I could fill an entire page with all of the different faces she makes.  :)

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great day!

Daddy's Girl

I have continued my obsession with digital scrapbooking.  :)  I have quite a few pages. . .I just haven't shared them all with you yet!  Here's a page I created using Tiffany Tillman's Summer Template 17.  I had all these pictures of my husband with Isabelle and thought they would make a great page.

Thanks for letting me share!  Have a great day!

Summer Fun

Here's another digital scrapbook page.  This page uses Summer Template #10 by Tiffany Tillman.  These are pictures from our vacation the summer before last. . .notice, no Isabelle yet.  LOL  I'm really enjoying going through older pictures and digitally scrapbooking them.  It makes me feel like they're not "lost in the files".

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend!  We had a great time yesterday enjoying the 4th at a lake with a bunch of friends.  The kids had a wonderful time as you can imagine!  Today is my birthday and so far it's been a lazy day.  We had plans to go to a theme park, but when we realized how hot it was going to be today, we imagined how miserable that might be and changed our minds.  :)  So far we're enjoying the day, so that's all that matters, right?

Thanks for stopping by today!  Sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions start tomorrow, so be sure and stop back!  Have a wonderful day!

Picking Dandelions

Here's another product of my new-found digital scrapbooking addiction.  I took the 25 Days of Templates class by Tiffany Tillman at reneepearson.com.  I used template #17 for this page.

These pictures were all taken when Savannah was about 2 years old.  She had the best time picking dandelions and stuffing them in the pocket of her overalls.  Too cute.  They are some of my favorite pictures.  What I love the most about the digital scrapbooking is that I can dig through older pictures like this and have pages finished quickly without having to dig out scrapbooking supplies.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you're having a wonderful holiday weekend!  SUPPLIES USED:  Summer Template #17 by Tiffany Tillman;  Lemonade Stand Kit from Paislee Press and Taylormade Designs

Pieces of You

Here's another digital scrapbook page I created.  This one is from a Jessica Sprague Photoshop Friday class.  I think it's safe to say I'm addicted!  LOL  I am really loving creating these pages from templates. . .and choosing the papers and elements.  I love learning how to add little extras too.  I could spend all day doing this. . .too bad I can't!  :)

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Jessica Sprague Photoshop Friday Class 6, patterned papers (Crystal Wilkerson);  Finished page measures 12" square

Kindergarten Girl

I have recently started to dabble in digital scrapbooking.  I know, I know. . .where have I been, right?  I have to admit, I still like the feel of a real scrapbook page, but in my quest to learn more about Photoshop, I've been taking an online class at reneepearson.com called Just the Basics.  I LOVE it!  At first it started out with some Quick Pages. . .basically the page is already designed for you and you just insert a photo.  This is my first page that I put it in all of the papers, pictures and elements myself.  The kit that came with this class had some Jen Caputo digital layouts (which this is one) along with a Page Kit designed by Tiff Tillman which has all the papers and elements that you can add to your layout.  I have really enjoyed learning to use Photoshop in this way.  Eventually I will learn how to create the layout too, but for now, this is great for me.

I made this page of Savannah.  The focal picture is of her and her kindergarten teacher.  The three little photos are of her on her first day of kindergarten.  She was so nervous about having a new teacher because she just LOVED her preschool teacher and just couldn't imagine liking another teacher.  LOL  Needless to say, she LOVES Miss Mackey and can't imagine school without her!

I thought I'd share my excitement over learning how to put a page together in Photoshop!  Thanks for stopping by!  SUPPLIES USED:  Studio Jen Sketch Collection 22 (Jen Caputo), Sunlights Delight Apprentice Page Kit (Tiff Tillman, Little Dreamer Designs);  Finished page measures 12" square
