Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek - Day 1
Are you ready for some sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions!? Today, we're featuring three new sets that will be released, Friday, September 3rd at 8am Pacific. They are Make A Wish, Borderlicious and Bubbles Big Background, all illustrated by Nancy McKinney. Today I have a project for you using Make a Wish and a bit of Borderlicious!
The Make a Wish stamp set is the next set in the TE Giving Tree series of special stamp sets to help support various charities. For the months of September, October and November when you purchase this set you'll be helping to support a national children's charity that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Remember, charitable stamp sets are sold as a sheet of rubber and will need to be trimmed before using. We do this in order to reduce the cost of manufacturing and be able to donate even more to charity.
Here is a card and gift ensemble I created with the Make a Wish set. Do you notice the balloons on the treat package? Well, they were cut out using coordinating dies! You will LOVE the balloon dies! They make it so simple!
On the card, I used two dies that were released last month, Take Note Die 1 and Take Note Die 2. They layer very nicely together! The paper in this project is from the Make a Wish Project Pantry. I colored the sentiment in using Copic markers and then added some Stardust Stickles on top. The banner was hand cut and then some bling was added along the top. If you notice along the bottom of the card, there is some "stitching". That is one of the stamps in the Borderlicious set! You know how much I LOVE my faux stitching, so this stamp REALLY excited me! :)
I created the box for the treat and filled it with Jolly Ranchers. The balloons are attached along with the Baker's Twine that came in the Make a Wish Project Pantry!
Be sure and check out what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has created using these sets: (oh, and a HUGE welcome to Danielle, Regina and Tori!!!)

Here's a card I made using one of the newest Verve releases, Birthday Bash. I also used one of the Anni-VERVE-sary sketches for this card. The paper is from the My Mind's Eye So Sophie Clever Collection. The large scalloped border punch is from EK Success.

I {heart} You
Today I have a card for you using the latest Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. I used the Tweethearts set along with papers from the Treehouse Collection by Pebbles, Inc. I added some Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the birds for some sparkle.
I thought this looked like a mama bird and her too little babies sitting on a branch. Such a cute image! Thanks for stopping by today! Hope your weekend is off to a great start! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Tweethearts (Taylored Expressions); Ink- Ladybug Red, Dandelion (Memento), Burnt Umber (Palette); Paper- Treehouse Collection (Pebbles, Inc.); Accessories- Taylor's Tiny Twinkles (TE), white gel pen, paper piercer, label punch (SU), ribbon (TE)

Something Old, Something New
This week started the Project Parade on the Verve Blog. This month's theme is Something Old, Something New. Basically, Jen challenged the Divas to use both a stamp set from this past release and an older Verve set. I knew exactly which old set I was going to use! I got out my Thoughtful Florals set. This was the first Verve set ever released (well, a remixed version of the first set) and I love it just as much today as I did back then!
I chose to create a scrapbook page using Birthday Bash and Thoughtful Florals. I also used one sentiment from the Uplifting Phrases set. I stamped the frame from Thoughtful Florals in four different colors that matched the patterned paper and then stamped the sentiments inside. The balloons are paper-pieced and the stars are filled with Stardust Stickles.
Head on over to the Verve Blog for some great inspiration from the other Divas AND for a chance to win some Verve! Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Birthday Bash, Thoughtful Florals, Uplifting Phrases (Verve Stamps); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko), Rose Bud, Dandelion, New Sprout, Bahama Blue (Memento); Paper- Sweet Summertime Collection (Echo Park); Accessories- Stardust Stickles, circle punch (SU), white gel pen; Finished page measures 6" square

Center of Attention Product Spotlight - Frame Your Imagination Stand
This month at Taylored Expressions, the Product Spotlight is on the Frame Your Imagination Stand. These stands can be used for so many things! Today, I have to show you scrapbook pages that I've created to display in this stand.
Since the natural color of the stand pretty much matches the furniture in the room I'm going to display this stand, I didn't really change the color of the stand. I coated it with a glaze and then sprayed it with Iridescent Pearl Maya Mist. It gave the stand a really nice pearly luster!
I used some embossed cardstock stickers from the 72 & Sunny Collection by We R Memory Keepers to decorate my stand. They worked really well with the colors of my scrapbook pages. The scrapbook pages use stamps from the Garden Party Blooms and Garden Party Critters sets as well as their coordinating dies.
The sentiment on the last page is from the The Places You'll Go set.
These wooden stands are hand-crafted exclusively for Taylored Expressions. The Frame Your Imagination Stand is a great value at the regular price of $12.99, but as our featured product it's a steal for a limited time (August 26-29) at only $10.99!!
For more inspiration using these stands, please visit these members of the Baker's Dozen!

Papertrey August Blog Hop Challenge
Tonight is the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop and this month's theme was a Brown Bag Challenge. Now that I'm re-reading the challenge, I'm not sure I did it correctly. . .hmmm? LOL Oh well! I took a brown bag and the Beautiful Blooms 2 #1 die to create a flower on this card for my daughter's teacher. My daughter starts school tomorrow, so I was inspired by this challenge to create a teacher card. So, there's some brown bag on there, right? It's just a little altered!
I used the All Booked Up set and coordinating Mat Stack 3 die along with the Teacher's Apple set to create my card. I used Sweet Blush and Kraft cardstock as well. The smaller panel of Sweet Blush cardstock was embossed using the In Bloom Impression Plate.

TE Blast from the Past Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to the August Blast From the Past Blog Hop at Taylored Expressions! I always enjoy these hops because it makes me ink up my older TE stamps that don't get as much love anymore with all the new stuff that comes out! ;)
Today, I decided to create a card that I'm going to tuck into Savannah's lunch box on Thursday, her first day of school! She is SO excited to be starting first grade. . .and I just can't believe she's in first grade already! (actually, I can't even believe the summer is over already!)
I used the A Year of Sweets 3 set along with a sentiment from the A Year of Sweet Sentiments set. I just love this adorable image of Cuppie with the school bus.
I colored the image used Copic markers. I used some Glossy Accents for the bus windows. Cuppie was stamped twice and colored. The second one was attached over top of the first with foam tape.
Be sure to hop along and see what everyone else has created for today's hop! Thanks for stopping by!

Verve Release Party TONIGHT!
It's Friday, and that means we'll be partying over in the Verve forum tonight at 8PM Eastern! If you're hoping to win a little Verve, deadline for comments on our New Release Spotlights as well as entries for the Anni-VERVE-sary sketch challenges are due by 6PM Eastern tonight (8/20). Hope to see you at the party!
In the meantime, here is a card I made for the Viva la Verve August Week 3 Challenge. It uses three of the new sets being released tonight, Psalm 46:1 Plain Jane, Dream Big and Kind Words! I loved the bedding Amber chose as an inspiration pic. I used the Dream Big and Kind Words sets to create a like pattern.
I added some pearls to the focal piece. The flowers were colored with markers and then spritzed with water for a nice watercolored effect.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you tonight!

New Release Spotlight: Kind Words/Happy Hello
For the Our Craft Lounge Blog Hop, please scroll down to the next post! Thanks!
For my first card, I used bold, bright colors. I colored the stamp with markers and then spritzed it with water for a watercolored look. I also added a few score lines above and below the focal piece along with some lines of glitter.
The next card is not quite as bright! :) I decided to go soft and elegant with this one.
My next card uses the Happy Hello set. This is a fun set! If you like to create geometric patterns or a more modern look, you will LOVE this set!
I created the background on this card using the circles from the set, a couple of markers and a ruler. There are also squares if you prefer those! This sentiment is just perfect. A different way of saying you make me happy, don't you think? I just love it!
Remember, if you'd like to win these sets, leave some love (comments) for the Divas! I'm sure you'll love the eye candy they have to show you anyway!
