I'm Back!

Yes.. I am! Today was the last day of filming of the World War Z Main Unit in Malta, and since I was working mostly in this unit, today was my last day! I don't know if I am relieved or not, because it was definitely very very tiring as we had lots of running away from zombies and waking up very very early and arriving home late. I know for sure though that I am still going to miss it as it was a very exciting experience for me, even though at times it was also boring, when we had to wait long hours until we are called, but still I would have done it all over again!

I just hope now that I will be able to spot myself in the film..

.. couldn't spot me anywhere though in these photos and videos that I found on the internet, taken by paparazzi by the looks of it!

These photos we took today... not with Brad Pitt unfortunately.. his Security Guards guarded him very closely, so we just had fun taking photos together and with some of the Crew and Crowd Marshalls.

And here we were in Valletta waiting for the 'Action' call-out. I was with the lovely pink dress and big red handbag. ... just one or two scenes with this dress!

Hope I didn't bore you with all my photos, but I just had to post as don't want to forget this exciting experience. Can't wait for the film to come out next year now... fingers crossed I will be able to see myself. They were saying all the filming in Malta will just be about 15mins from the whole film... so very difficult to see myself... I will just have to keep on hoping he he

Christmas in July

Hi, another day on the film set .. at least today we had to be there at 6.15am, not sooooo early, but again we finished at 7.30pm. I had a change of costume today to a grey/blue checked dress with a grey cardigan as they thought the other was a bit too bright ...... AND I got to see BRAD PITT again, BUT this time just in front of me............. SEVERAL TIMES .......... and at one point I was also just beside him!!! BUT that is not all.... I am also going to be in a running scene just in front of him!!!! Wooo hooo hooo hooo :))))  AND he spoke to us as well, he said... "you're doing great guys" ooooooo so exciting... he is really really nice........ YES definitely worth it waking up so early!!!

Really can't wait for tomorrow now, hope I can sleep with all this excitement as I have to be there at 4.30am tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, onto some crafty business now.... I wanted today to let you know about the new Christmas in July stamps that Crafty Sentiments will be releasing next week. Look how fun and cute these new stamps are....

A Sketch with Stamp Fairy

Hello everyone, sorry sorry for being a bad blogger lately. I'm either working up till 6.00pm to be able to take all the vacation leave I need, or, like yesterday, being on the filming set at 5.00am........... and finishing at 7.00pm!!! ... I hope I don't give up, this is really tiring! So, unfortunately, blogging is having to take a very back seat at the moment... 

I did manage to make a card though, my DT Card for this week's StampFairy challenge. I used Thank You Jake digi stamp, coloured him with my promarkers, my CREAlies flower die, papers from stash and one of my new corner clear stamps which I got from LOTV.

Father's Day Cards

Hello good morning, I'm rehearsing again today. Yesterday it was great, met some nice people, lots of running and rehearsing rehearsing and rehearsing, a bit tiring, but I loved it. Luckily we just stayed till 4.00pm. No Brad Pitt though.. just his stunt running with us ... boo .. and a bigger boo they emphasized with us that we must not ever try to get his autograph, talk to him and no photos whatsoever booo booo booooooooooooo

Anyway, I got my DT Card for this week's challenge at Crafty Sentiments and this week we set out a very popular theme for you ... Father's Day Cards. For my card today I used this adorable little digi stamp Charlie Bear and coloured him with my promarkers.

Make it Masculine with StampFairy

Hi, sorry I'm so late today with my StampFairy Challenge card today, but just returned home from working overtime til 6.30pm..... boo so long when I usually finish at 2.00pm!! I'm going to be so busy this week at the office and at home as well as when I went for the costume fitting today they gave me the dates that I will be working, and they are a three whole weeks, starting next Saturday! Besides that, I got rehearsals next Wednesday and Thursday as well.... hope all this is going to be worth it to see Brad Pitt!!! 

But, onto my card now.......... as you might have guessed we want to see MALE cards this week at StampFairy, so popular at the moment with Father's Day next Sunday. I did a Father's Day Card using this sweet teddy from the Chubby Handyman Set 2. 

I coloured him with my promarkers, papers from the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine, card candy, sentiment computer generated and banners with my Die Namics die.

A pretty pink dress with a little cardigan and a large red bag!! I THINK I would have loved to be a zombie instead of wearing normal clothes ha ha   : )

Happy Anniversary

Hi I'm back! Yay thanks for all the nice comments in my previous post... I would have loved going to the beach with you all .... what a pity we are so far away!! 

So, having found myself alone at home this afternoon and housework all done, I just kept myself occupied in my craftroom making this card ... 

This card I am posting on the Stamp Fairy World but I thought I would post here as well today.

For my card I used Paul and Pauline image, coloured with my promarkers, papers from a magazine freebie, a butterfly punch from DoCrafts, sentiment is a freebie from Annette and just had to use my new English Rose die again. 

I got this die from My Mum's Craft Shop last time. Everything was wrapped up in lovely green tissue paper, which I decided to cut out some leaves out of, I love how they turned out... so happy to have got this die.

I don't collect, but this one I am definitely going to keep .. what a lovely souvenir...

as is this gorgeous postcard which I received from Celine Jo as a consolation prize to four of her candy participants. I used to collect postcards when I was young and receiving this today I rekindled my memories. Thank you so much Celine, I loved it xx

And some news now as well... Just read on the Times of Malta online that Brad Pitt and his lovely wife Angelina Jolie arrived in Malta today!!! I am really getting excited now... I hope I will get to see him.. and by the way, they are calling us Background Artists not Extras, he he so fun this is! 

So it's next Monday now for my costume fitting.. will keep you updated then.

Birthday Wishes

Hi, I'm back .... thought I couldn't let today go by without posting an update about my day! Yay it was fantastic, really enjoyed it. So we didn't rehearse on how to walk like a zombie, but how to scream and run away from zombies in one big group ha ha it was so exciting and fun, loved every minute of it... really can't wait for the actual filming now! 

I got a card now as well, can't have a post without a card he he :)

This is a card which I made today with one of the lovely stamps that I won from Debby last time. A very quickie one, but I wanted to have a play with the stamp and my new English rose die, which I have only used once so far.. but getting used to the rolling now. 

Birthday Wishes stamp is from Crafty Sentiments, border and leaf punches are MS, Marianne leaf die, stamp coloured with my promarkers and some digi papers, not sure from where unfortunately, sorry ....must really get me a new ink cartridge now!

Two Birthday Cards and Fabulous NEWS

So I have two cards today ... and some news, but first my cards...and lucky me got both the digis for free.

For this card I got the stamp after Kellie, from Tickled Pink Stamps sent out an email this week to all her customers and offered a free digi to the first 50 who answered... woo hoo I was one of the girls who got the free digi and I chose this darling Birthday Cherrie stamp.

I coloured Cherrie with my promarkers, paper was a free gift in a magazine, sentiment from Hero Arts stamp set, Card Candy and flowers with my CREAlies die cut.

And now I have a boy's birthday card. Last week or so I was one of the girls picked for the Top 3 at the CardmadFairy Challenge.. well lucky me again, I didn't know, but I had won a digi as well :)) I didn't take much to decide as when I saw this lovely stamp, Zac, I immediately thought of my youngest son Kevin, who, upon his request, is very happily learning the guitar. 

The fantastic papers that I used to do my card today were freebie ones from Bearly-Mine and I did the stars with my Die-Namics stars die...

... using some lovely shiny card which I had forgotten I had.

Quite a simple card, but I am sure he will like it. ... hoping that he will still be playing the guitar in October, that's when his birthday is ha ha am I finally not getting good preparing my cards SO EARLY :)

And now MY NEWS ...... my exciting news ....  Remember me some time ago saying that I went to apply to be an Extra in Brad Pitt's newest film World War Z?  WELL ....... I GOT CHOSEN .. woo hooo hooo hooo squeal ....... I couldn't contain my excitement when I got the telephone call today and even now I still can't keep quiet with the excitement. I will be going for rehearsals tomorrow and then on Monday for the costume fitting!!! First time for me doing this, so I am really looking forward and we get paid too...  So tomorrow morning, when you see my Crafty Sentiment DT Card going online, I will be ......... rehearsing........  I wonder if I will be rehearsing for how to walk like a zombie     : )

Anything with OSAAT

Hello good morning, isn't it good to have Blogger back again.... I'm unfortunately missing lots of nice comments but no missing posts at least. .. I was just saying to myself on Thursday that my blog is like a diary to me so seeing it gone made me so depressed that I just went off for an early night. Hubby thought I was unwell ha ha and me realised how I am getting so hooked with blogging..... bad sign?

Anyway, just got home now with my kids, from managing to apply to be an extra in Brad Pitt's newest film World War Z, which parts of it are going to be filmed in Malta next month! I had already tried on Friday but seeing the long queue, I gave up, so we tried again today, and we did it after 4 hours waiting. Fingers crossed we get chosen now because there were over 6000 applying and not sure how many extras they need. First time I'm doing this, so I'm really hoping to get in. 

Well, I have my DT Card today for this week's challenge at One Stitch At A Time. The theme this week is ANYTHING GOES, so a really nice and easy one. For my card I got to choose from one of Teri's Delicious Doodles gorgeous images and I decided on this cute little bear. 

Before printing out my stamp I turned just the number one to alpha on GIMP and then changed it to my gingham green paper... this is a quicker way of paper piecing and one more thing I like about digi images. I coloured the rest of the stamp with my promarkers and did also some shading on the number. To do the stars and banners I'm using my new die cuts from Die-Namics. 

For our lucky winner this week we have a £10 Voucher from Joanna Sheen store.

... and one more exciting news .. he he hubby gave me a really nice Hobby Daylight Lamp for a birthday present which is next Wednesday... . I was saying that I wanted one after I saw Mandy's post showing us how she uses this lamp to photograph her cards and so it looks like he heard me ... wink wink :)
