Christmas with Crafty Friends

Hello again, and a happy Saturday to all. Hope you're enjoying your weekend and have some nice things planned. As for me this morning I have a dentist appointment  :( but then I am going shopping as I need a dress for next week to go to our staff Cocktail Party. I was planning to wear something that I had bought some time ago, but hmmm trying it on again I decided that I wanted something different... so addio housework that I was planning to do after dentist.. and hello shopping :) hoping that I find something quick and nice he he :)

Anyway, it's time for another new challenge at  

Crafty Friends 

and the theme for this fortnight is

CHRISTMAS

so another Christmas card from me for this week!

To do my card we were so lucky to have an image from our sponsor Pink Gem Designs and I chose this cute image Polo in Scarf. I colored the image with my promarkers then made up my card with a DP from my Dovecraft paperpack and finished it off with a star die cut, sentiment, bow and some Christmas trees embellishments.... very simple, just perfect for those quick Christmas cards.

Add A Charm with Crafty Friends

Last Wednesday I was saying that I made me a last minute Halloween costume without sharing any photos and rightly so, I was reprimanded jokingly for this ha ha :) ... Well here they are now...
the first one is with my friends who also were red devils and the second one is with hubby, wearing a costume which I had also made myself, but some time ago. Here we are on our front porch which we decorated for Halloween with bats and ghost and spider streamers and hubby even changed the front light to red :)  There's others stuff but they are not in the photo! Well now for the next Halloween party for next year.. I wonder what I'll be wearing :P

Anyway back for some crafting now and today I'm sharing my DT card for the new challenge that started today at

For my card we were so lucky to get to use an image from our sponsors and I got to use this gorgeous image The Great Bow from Small And Round.

I colored it with my promarkers and then had a lovely time making up my card and adding all the stuff ... two different DPs, die cut, ribbon, lace, pearls, flowers, bow and of course a butterfly charm. I ended up not finding where to put a sentiment ha ha ... but still I think it's good.

B is for .....

Hello everyone, good Saturday morning to all... and the weekend is here yay! Today however it's not a day off for me as I'm at work booo hooo :( .. Need to take four days off from work next week, as I will be working as an Extra on the film Assasin's Creed (so excited :) , so had to go in today to finish off some things which couldn't wait after I go back!

Anyway, so a scheduled post this is today, well mine nearly always are.. when they are posted in time ha ha  and my DT card for today is for the new challenge that started today at

I really love challenges as they always make me do better cards. As for this one, I kept thinking on what I could add on my card that started with the letter B, and I managed five things - Butterflies, Bug (the ladybird), the color Blue for the background, wings and dress, Buttons and Bow. So how many can you add?

To make my card I was so lucky to get this gorgeous image Lady Bug Buddy from one of our sponsors for this week, A Day For Daisies. The prize is $12 to spend in the store.

Clean and Simple with Crafty Friends

Two cards in a week, it's a rarity for me lately, but especially in Summer it always is! This weekend as usual we went to the pool, went to our Summer place for the weekend, no parties or dancing though and then we had rain again today Sunday, so it wasn't a very good one. I just took the opportunity to have a nice afternoon nap and had some relaxing me time.

Anyway, this time it's a new challenge at 

CRAFTY FRIENDS

and the theme for this fortnight is

CLEAN AND SIMPLE

I was really unsure on what to do, sometimes I find the CAS cards so though to do. Luckily I had this sweet image to use from our sponsor Toadstool Printables which we were so lucky to get to make our cards.

 

I colored the image with my promarkers and I stamped the sentiment using a clear stamp from a Hero Arts stamp set. I did the circle shape using chalk. To finish it off I added the ribbon and some pearls. Came out quite nice I think, although I wasn't that pleased with my coloring this time!

The winner of this challenge will get three digi images of the winner's choice.

Use A Punch with Crafty Friends

Hello good morning everyone. It's another Saturday of lovely hot Summer weather here in Malta and I can't wait to go out and relax by the pool :) ... well that's what Summer is all about.. for me at least.. and tonight a Booty Shake party by the pool with friends! 

Anyway, it's Team's 2 turn this week at Crafty Friends Challenge and sooooo here's my card for this week for the new challenge that started today.

The theme for this week is

USE A PUNCH

Lately, and I'm sure like most of us crafters, I've rarely been using punches, but dies, so I had to do a dig in my drawers to find them... I found this really pretty small flower punch from Woodware and  thought would be just fine for my card. I topped the flowers with some purple gems, added some nice ribbon, the sentiment and a lovely butterfly, made with real feathers to finish it off. I can't remember from where I had bought the butterfly as I've had it for a very long time and never seemed to find the right place to use it.

The background DP was a freebie in a magazine and I colored the cute image, Spring Sunshine, which we were lucky to have from our sponsor, Star Stampz, with my promarkers.

Anything Goes at Crafty Friends

Hello everyone. It's very rare for me to be posting on a Saturday, in fact this is a scheduled post today as at the moment I'm in Gozo for the weekend :)  ... but today is special as the Crafty Friends Challenge Blog has opened again and all the old teamies have been asked to join again. I have of course accepted, and so, as from today the Crafty Friends Challenge Blog is up and running again with the first challenge going on live today :)

There will be two teams and I will be in Team 2, posting bi-weekly, but for today, both teams will be taking part and the theme for this week is

For my card I got to choose an image from one of our sponsor Beccy's Place and I chose this pretty image Bird and Blossom. I have colored it with my promarkers, used leaves and border dies from Marianne Design and flowers die from Nellie's Choice. The background DP was a freebie in a magazine.

Doodling

Hello everyone, it's the weekend .. how fun and more fun for me as my vacation leave starts now :) Taking a week off starting next Monday .. so I'm really looking forward to some relaxing days. I did wish of course that I could take more, as hubby could only take days off when I go back, but one of the girls at the office is having her baby and we can't be out at the same time for a long period. I'm so excited for her and already planning some baby cards for her.
