Pollycraft Monday Challenge - Anything but a card

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a lovely weekend, mine was very busy and very productive, I feel like I didn't sit down for more then 5 minutes all weekend but it was worth it when I look at everything I have done! We are back to weekly Challenges from this week on the Pollycraft Monday Challenge and this week it is my turn to set to the theme! I have chosen...

Anything but a card

I decided to try and get ahead and decorate a money envelope for my Son's birthday next month, I just need to make sure I don't lose it before then :-) I have used the fab Jerry Kisses 'Tune' and some fun and funky Echo Park Happy days papers. I love the fab colours!

The sentiment is one I used last week from Crafter's Companion and I stamped it onto Kraft cardstock this time before cutting it out. Jerry was coloured with Promarkers. The money envelope started life as a gift card that came with an Ipod touch and I rescued it from the bin this weekend!


I punched holes and set eyelets in two of the flaps and tied a bow through the holes with gingham ribbon to match the front. I added a tag created using a Whimsy stamp.

CES Challenge - Holidays

It's Saturday and I am getting ready to go to my Promarker demo day! I have everything packed and I will be taking lots of images to colour in as well as my prepared demo cards. Saturday is CES Challenge day and this week's theme has been chosen by the lovely Julie and is 'Holidays'.

I have used Pollycraft's Jerry Kisses 'Surfer Dude' on my card and some of the Fancy Pants Beach Babe papers which are available here from Crafty Emma's Store. The twine, charm and letter stickers are all from my stash.

Pollycraft Monday Challenge - Teens

It's Monday already and time for a new Pollycraft Challenge. The theme this week is 'Teens'. I have made a card using Jerry Kisses Drummer as he reminds me of my lovely Teenage Son! He has hair just like Jerry!

I used a Spellbinders Grand label die to cut a card blank from DCWV paper and then cut and embossed a square onto which I layered the coloured image.
I added a Crafter's Companion stamped sentiment with some Ribbon Girl tape tucked behind and finished with a layered die cut star. I loved making this card, the Jerry Kisses images are some of my favourites.

Jerry Kisses - Tunes

I have a card to share with you today I made at the weekend with one of the fab new Jerry Kisses images which are now available from Pollycraft. Jerry reminds me of my eldest Son as he is permanently plugged in to his Ipod tapping away on his laptop.

I used some of the fabulous new My Mind's Eye papers which are available here from Crafty Emma's store. I have three of the pads now and I think I am going to have to treat myself to the last one in the collection, the papers are so gorgeous and each pad has a great selection of patterns suitable for either girly or boys cards. I love them! I added some stitching around the papers and added a brad, some buttons and little ribbon scraps tabs.
I hope you are having a better day than me, I have been asleep or dozing for most of the day. I have been under the weather the past couple of weeks and finally went to the Doctor's today. I have a throat infection but I have some tablets now so I hope I will start to feel better soon!

New Pollycraft images

Paula has been very busy designing some wonderful new images for Christmas. There are more cute Cherry Kisses available and for the first time every she has drawn a Jerry Kisses!

I love the Cherry Kisses images but I couldn't wait to make some cards with Jerry! I have made a couple of cards for my boys. The first one is for my 13 year old. I used Crate paper papers for his card and Echo Park letter stickers.

The second card was made with Cosmo Cricket papers and is for my youngest Son who is 11. I added lots of glitter to the Snowman and lots of stitching on both cards.

I didn't make it back to work Monday, my few hours out and a short drive on Saturday left me in agony so it was back to the Doctor's for more tablets which are completely wiping me out, I just fall asleep an hour after I take them. My brain seems to have gone into meltdown to join my back as I got my Physio appointments all mixed up this week, we went on Monday and waited in the waiting room for 40mins before the Receptionist realised I was waiting for an appointment which was booked for Wednesday! How embarrassing!
Anyway, onwards and upwards, things can only get better...
