Schooldays ATCS

I have some ATCs to share with you today I made for the Addicted to ATCs monthly swap. The theme this month is Schooldays so I made some ATCs using some papers I recently bought from Sarah's Cards along with some ledger paper which I punched with an EK success punch.

I used an adorable digi stamp by Lori Boyd which I bought from Die Cuts R Us. I coloured Lacie with my Promarkers in colours to match the papers and added glossy accents to her little apple. As a finishing touch, I added a lovely little spotty button from The Ribbon Girl. I adore this little digi image, Lori Boyd is so talented and I will definitely be treating myself to more of her lovely designs.
Have a great Tuesday!

Make the Day special blog candy winner and some ATCs

Thanks so much to all of you who visited my blog and left comments for the 1st Make the Day special blog hop.

I have drawn a winner using Random org to receive the card I featured and...the winner is...

Ann who said...

Love the owl - and the way everything coordinates so well. Fab card!

Congratulations Ann! Please send me an email to milliesmarvels@gmail.com with your address and I will send the card to you.
Make sure you take a look at the Make The Day Special blog and the other DT blogs for the rest of the winners.

I have some ATCs to share with you today which I made for the Addicted to ATCs swap. The theme for June is Sewing and Fashion and I used some papers and stamps I bought at Ally Pally to make my ATCs

I normally make 3 the same but decided to make 3 different ones this month for a change! I loved using the pink with black and sticking on bits of lace and other haberdashery bits and bobs. The theme was such a great one to have a play with :-)
I hope you have a great Tuesday!

WOYWW - Chaos and Confusion!!

I am sharing a different view of my desk this week, unfortunately, it looks a lot messier from this angle! You can also see the mess under my desk. The desk is actually very messy today, this is the result of a few frantic crafting sessions. There is also a lot of stuff just dumped on there...no time to put it away properly or really just no more room! I have also lost the lid for my big pot of glue!! How annoying!!

A possible candidate for my next DT card for the Pollycraft blog is hiding under the pile of ribbon on my mat. I want this card to be really special as this is my first time choosing the theme and I am not 100% happy with it.
I caught up with my ATC making over the past couple of days as well. The first ones are for the Addicted to Atcs swap I run with Petra. The theme this month is 'House shaped ATCs' I called these ones 'Home is where the heart is'
The second set are for Paul's ATC swappers swap. The theme is 'Tall tales' and I used the Alice in Wonderland digi set from The Greeting Farm. The sentiment was printed using a Free Font from the web and cut out with a Nesties label.
I love these ATCs and had a hard time putting them in an envelope to send off! I hope whoever gets them in the swap loves them as much as me :-)
I hope you enjoyed having a snoop around my desk, if you want to see more and share a photo of yours, please pop over to Julia's blog for more What's on your Workdesk Wednesday fun!

If April showers bring Spring Flowers....

...what do clouds of volcanic ash bring? I feel so sorry for all the poor holidaymakers who are stuck trying to get home or cannot get away on their long awaited holidays. It's hard to believe one cloud can cause so much upset. The clouds on my ATCs are thankfully harmless.
We haven't seen many April showers so far this month, typical really as this is the theme for our swap this month at Addicted to ATCs. I made these this morning, I only need 3 but I ended up making 5. I finished up with4 as Charley ate one! I used a Hero Arts cloud stamp, Little Claire's wellies stamp, some gems and charms from The Hobby House.

I had a very productive day today, not necessarily craft wise but it was an enjoyable one nonetheless. It was a football themed morning with Jack playing a match and then I dropped the boys off to Darren's work so they could all go to watch the Reading game. I decided to go and visit Beryl at Ashridge Farm Craft shop in the afternoon. I spent about an hour there and helped Beryl choose some lovely Prima flowers for her next order, can't wait for them to arrive! I also treated myself to one of her new Magnolia stamps and the magazine and a couple of other bits and bobs.
When I got home, I cleared out my shed and had a trip to the Dump! A very busy day! I hope to have a bit more time for crafting tomorrow!

WOYWW, the corner of shame and lots of ATCs

It's Wednesday already and time for What's on your Workdesk Wednesday ...even though it only feels like Tuesday...but I'm not complaining! It means we are getting closer to Sunday which is when I am going to Alexandra Palace with Petra!! Wooohoooo!
Can't wait!!
Here is my desk today, all tidy. I had lots and lots of Crafting time this Easter Weekend and made lots of my DT projects and have decided to have a break from crafting for a couple of days. I spent some time rearranging some of my stash, my shelves look very tidy. There are some of the lovely ATCs on my desk I received as part of my Addicted to ATCs swap yesterday.
I thought I would give you a lovely close up of my very untidy corner. This is where I shove everything when I tidy up that I don't know where to put away. There are allsorts in there, scraps, printed papers, die cut shapes and it's a mess! I hope you have enjoyed looking around my desk today and will forgive me my untidy corner! If you want to see more desks, hop on over to Julia's and why not share a picture of yours too?
I thought I would share the ATC's I made for my monthly Addicted to ATCs swap. I did lots of die cutting and punching with Funky Hand papers scraps. I love all these papers and I love the Butterfly punch too!

These are the ATCs I received as swaps, aren't they just gorgeous! The theme was Springtime colours and I love the images and Butterflies on these cards. I always look forward to receiving my ATCs every month, if you like ATCs, why not pop on over to the blog of the swap I run with Petra, we always welcome new members so why not come and join in the fun :-)
Have a lovely Wednesday.

My ATCs for the Addicted to ATCs February swap

Here are my ATCs for the Addicted to ATCs February swap. The theme was Valentine's day so I made 3 ATCs out of Kraft and decorated them with K+Co Christmas paper and Spellbinders hearts cut from Kraft and Bazzill card.
I inked all the edges (surprise, surprise!) and added a Hero Arts sentiment, some gems and a heart button tied with string to finish them off.
We announced the theme for March today, we will be making 3 ATCs in Spring colours. If you are interested in joining us why not pop over to the blog for more details or email us to addictedtoatcs@gmail.com.

My ATCs for the Addicted to ATCs January swap

Here are my ATCs for the Addicted to ATCs January swap. The theme is 'New Beginnings' so I chose to use one of the One Four Zero stamps I received as part of a prize last year.

I used very bright colours from my scrap box and coloured the image with Promarkers. The little flowers were part of my Christmas present from my DT buddy Tracy. If you are interested in swapping ATCs, please pop over to the blog for more details. We always welcome new people so it would be great if you could join us!
Have a lovely Monday, it is snowy outside and I have a nasty cold which is quickly travelling down to my throat and chest so I am not looking forward to going outside today :-(

My ATCs for the December Addicted to ATCs swap

The theme for last month's ATC swap at Addicted to ATCs was 'Waiting for Christmas'. Each month we make 3 ATCs to swap within our small and friendly group of very talented crafters. I used Basic grey papers and Elzybells stamps to make my ATCs. The little tab punch is from Stampin up and is one of my favourite punches at the moment.

The burgundy card is from the Papermill shop and the little gem is from my stash. I coloured the image with Promarkers.
The theme for January's swap is 'New Beginnings'. You can read more about the theme here.
If you are interested in taking part, please send an email to addictedtoatcs@gmail.com. The swap is open to all UK based crafters and we do not set any restrictions on the medium you use to make your ATCs.
I hope you had a good weekend. I hope that my boys will be back at school tomorrow. We have had any more snow yet so I hope that we will escape it this time.

ATCS for Addicted to ATCs November swap

I finally managed to get around to doing my ATCs for the Addicted to ATCs swap I run with Petra.
The theme was 'Something Spooky', so I used one of my favourite Elzybells stamps. I have used this trio so many times this year, I think this was my last chance to make something out of it for 2009!

I cut the little Witch out after colouring her in and mounted her onto some Daisy and Dandelion paper I had cut out with my labels Nesties and layered onto some Sizzix card. The 'trick or treat' is also from Elzybells and the little star was from a pack of crafty goodies from Lidl.
If you are interested in swapping ATCs, please take a look at the Addicted to ATCs blog, we are a friendly bunch and always welcome new people.
I hope you are having a nice weekend.
