My Mum's Craft Shop DT - A Gorjuss Girl for Toppers and Pre-coloured images week

Hello Everyone!  I am kicking off another themed week on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog. Our theme is 'Toppers and pre-coloured images' and I have chosen to use a Gorjuss Girls Decoupage topper on my card.

This decoupage set is called 'We can all Shine' and is available here from My Mum's Craft Shop. I also used Gorjuss girl papers from the 6x6 stack. The little sentiment label which I stamped with a Penny Black sentiment and the little spotty heart are also from the decoupage pack.

I added some purple lace and pins from my stash and some lovely purple flowers. I also punched some butterflies from the waste paper with the decoupage and finished off with some stick on gems. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Love Birds

Hello Everyone! It's my day for posting on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today and I am showing   a little card I made using one of the lovely brand new mini JoFy stamps which arrived this week at My Mum's Craft Shop. I have used the Lovebirds image to make a topper for my card by stamping it onto some Gorjuss papers from the 6x6 pack and then stamping the birds again onto white card. I then coloured them in and cut out their bodies before paper piecing them on to my stamped image. I also paper pieced the little heart.

I used a Dienamics die to cut the postage stamp rectangle which I layered my birds onto. I layered up more papers to cover my card base and added some jute mesh and cotton ribbon before the layers were added to the card. I also added a gorgeous crocheted flower topped with a wooden button,

Here is a close up of my coloured image. I coloured the little birds in with Promarkers. I added a little purple paper flower to the top right of the image and finished with some stick on gems. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - I gave you my heart

Hello Everyone! I am sharing a card on the My Mum's Craft shop blog today and am showing another card made using some of the beautiful Gorjuss products from My Mum's Craft Shop. I absolutely love this range from Docrafts and am addicted to playing with them! I have used the beautful 'I gave you my heart' image on this card and coloured her in with my Promarkers. The red paper is from my stash and the striped and grid papers are from an 8x8 pack.

I added a Paper Smooches sentiment and a small piece of ribbon and flowers from my stash and finished with some tiny pearls and a button.

Here is a close up of my image. These stamps are slightly larger than most and are so easy to colour in. I love her stripey socks so much...I want some! I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - Something new

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a good weekend so far. I am here today with a tag I have made for our 'Something New' themed week which is starting today on the My Mum's Craft shop blog. I cut the tag using a Dienamics die and Gorjuss Girl papers and added a fishtail cut from striped paper using another die. The beautiful house stamp is from the Art houses set from Creative Expressions and I stamped it on to kraft and added it to the tag over some jute mesh.

I used a Dienamics heart die to cut a small tag which I stamped with a Lili of the Valley stamp before setting it with an eyelet and tying it on with some Docrafts string.

I then added some flowers a wooden butterfly, some key charms and buttons to finish off. I hope you have a lovely Sunday.

Gorjuss Decoupage!

Hello Everyone! I have been playing with some of the new Docrafts products which have just arrived at My Mum's Craft Shop. I have made a card using the beautiful Gorjuss mini decoupage set called 'You Brought me love' which is available here and the stunning coordinating papers from the 6x6 pack.

The decoupage is die cut and was very easy to put together and made a nice change from stamping and colouring. I layered up my papers and added some stiching and then wrapped my layers with lace and tiny ric rac from the Ribbon Girl before adding them to the card base. I used a Lili of the Valley sentiment and decorated the card with lots of flowers and other bits and bobs including some gorgeous Hobby House Rhinestone buttons.

Here is a close up  of the decoupage. I added some little punched butterflies to the frame and the image as a finishing touch. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

I coloured the image with my Promarkers and added some glitter glue to the Angel's wings and halo.

I added some ribbon and a little crochet flower I bought from a lovely little craft shop in Greenwich and also added a pearl swirl and a wooden heart button.

Here is a close up of my coloured image. I love the sweet little bird she is holding. She looks so serene and peaceful and is perfect for those hard to make Sympathy or Thinking of You cards. I hope you have a lovely Wednesday.

CES Challenge - Water it!

Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a good week. It's time for a new CES Challenge and the theme for this week is Water it. We would like to see Project this week with a Water theme! I have chosen to use of the new Gorjuss Girl stamps I bought in Newbury and some of the lovely Fancy Pants Baby Mine Papers.

I created a little scene for my image to stand in with my pinking shears to shape the grass and some of the lovely cloud paper from the pack. I stamped my image onto acetate, white card which I coloured in with Promarkers and one last time on striped paper for her wellies. The sentiment is by Personal impressions and I added a box tied from Ribbon Girl seam binding and topped with a Ribbon Girl button. I added some mini blossoms as a finishing touch. I hope you will be able to join us for this week's Challenge for the chance to win a voucher from Crafty Emma's Store.

You can check out all the details and some wonderful samples from the DT here.

CES Challenge - Woodland creatures

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a good week. I have been busy this week so am looking forward to having a bit of a break this weekend. I am going to the Artstamps UK show in Newbury tomorrow with my crafty Friend Petra, am looking forward to spending some pennies!
Saturday is CES Challenge day and this week the lovely Shell has picked our theme and she has chosen

''WOODLAND CREATURES''

This gave me the perfect opportunity to ink up my new Gorjuss girls 'Little foxes' stamp which I have had for a little while but not had a chance to play with yet. I also used some of the Echo Park Walk in the Park park papers which are available here from Crafty Emma's Store.

I used my Nesties to cut a card base and then cut a strip from green paper and punched it with a grass border punch which I layered onto blue paper and then cut again with another Nesties shape. I wrapped it with twine and layered onto a shape cut from tree paper before adding to the card base. I stamped and coloured my images before cutting them out and adding them to my card with foam pads. I added a sentiment stamped onto a Mc Gill Word tag punch and tied it with twine before adding it to my card with a foam pad. The finishing touch was a bow tied from black gingham topped with a white flower button.

A Gorjuss decoupage card

Something a bit different from me today...a card with no stamping! A bit of ink creeped in to distress the edges of the card and papers and to tone down the bright white on the ribbon but the rest is all decoupage.
I received some fabulous new products from The Crafthouse Press to have a play with this week, this card is made using the Love pack of the new Gorjuss girls decoupage. Each pack contains two sheets of a 3D die cut decoupage featuring delightful Gorjuss images, plus two coordinating backing sheets, enough to make 4 cards with some leftovers.

The die cut shapes are great and perfect to make a quick but stunning card. To make my card, I cut a card blank with my Nesties and covered the front with some gorgeous coordinations card to match the girls dress.
I then cut a label shape from the turquoise backing paper and layered it with some rafia lace from Quixotic paperie and some of the stripy paper from the kit. I sewed the layers together with my machine before sticking to the card base.
I then got to work adding the decoupage which I embellished with gems. I toned down some white striped ribbon from Paperchase with some Antique linen distress inks and tied it into a box embellishing with a black popper and some black gems. I tied a charm with string to stick behind the ribbon.
As a finishing touch, I added the sentiment and a couple of little Martha stewart butterflies embellished with gems.
It was great fun to do something different for a change. I will be back soon with the other card I made from the pack.
Have a lovely Tuesday.
