MMCSDT - Whale Done!

Hello Everyone! I have a card to share with you which I made using the 'Whale Hello' stamp set from Avery Elle which is available here from My Mum's Craft Shop.

I created a little scene for my Whale to dive around in using paper from the Carta Bella 'It's a boy papers'. I used a scalloped square die to create the waves which I then inked with some distress ink.

I coloured my image using Promarkers and then added him to my card using foam pads. I finished with a sentiment from the set and a bow and some wooden stars from my stash. This will be my last blog post for a few weeks as I am going in to hospital on Friday to have an operation on my hand.
I hope you have a lovely Tuesday!

MMCSDT - Happy Wishes!

Hello Everyone! I hope you are well and had a good day. I apologise for the lateness of my post today. I have a card to share with you today which I made using the WPlus 9 Happy Wishes stamp set which is available here from My Mum's Craft shop.

I used pink and lilac inks to layer up the flower stamps to create a pretty birthday day and also used a sentiment from the set to stamp in to the centre of the card then stamped the flowers and leaves around. I love how versatile the stamp set is and it looks so different if you stamp it in different colours.

I love this style of stamping and how the pattern builds up really quickly to create really pretty backgrounds. I layered the finished piece on to purple patterned paper and to pink card before adding it to the card base. I hope you have a lovely evening.

MMCSDT - Love you bots

Hello Everyone! I hope you had a good Weekend and a good start to the week. I am back today with my DT card for My Mum's Craft shop and I have another 'Love' themed card to share with you.
I used the Paper Smooches Boom Bots stamp set on my card and had a bit of fun experimenting with Watercolour backgrounds.

I used some precut postcards from Paperchase to create my background on using Distress inks. I smeared some Tumbled glass ink straight from the pad on to a non stick craft sheet and picked it up with a wet brush before painting it randomly on to the card. I actually used my Cosmic Shimmer brush so the painted effect has a slight shimmer to it and some darker accents.

I stamped the adorable robot on to white card and coloured him in using Promarkers before cutting him out and adding him to the card with foam pads and then stamped some hearts and cogs from the set.

I added a sentiment and then mounted the finished panel on to a kraft card. I will definitely be experimenting with watercolour backgrounds again as I love the finished effect. I hope you have a lovely Tuesday!
