First guy is GW plastic bloodletter with it's head and fin removed, then I have cut up a D&D pre-painted plastic figure (can't remember the name of it, but I have more so will say next time) and glued it's head and spine to the blood letter, at the moment i'm referring to it as a shrimp creature.
Little guy is covered in anther post so I wont go into that, guy on the left is a work in progress of a bigger version... well I guess that is obvious lol.
Parts list is a GW goblin spider, Tyranid larger creature head (sorry don't know what kit), a paperclip and some other tyranid bits (the unfinished bigger arms are from Guants, the sacks (it's head) is from the same kit as the big head used for his body I think) and the armour over it's shoulder and behind it's head are extra armour plate from one of the kits.... basically it's all nid with spider legs....

Woodland Lord / Dryad king
Well many moons ago I said I was going to do a conversion basically copying the Oggster's brilliant Enigma miniature conversion of a tree dude. (.
http://maxxev.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/wood-elves-dryad-heroine-conversion.html
Well now I have.
This plus that excellent Drycha conversion I purchased leads me to splitting the guys I had slated for the "wood elves" at least three ways lol.
The warbands will become:
Wild elves (made up of tharn miniatures and other barbarian types (e.g. I purchased some Kelt Sessair parts from Confrontation).
Not sure how the split will be but I also intend on the following
Woodland Defenders
Woodland Avengers
There will likely be dryads in both but are likely to be beastmen in the avengers and Fairies, Satyr, Faun / sprites in the defenders.
Why?, because I can / want to... possibly because i'm a little nuts, I don't know, but i'm presently figuring out how to use this... which is about 8-10" tall excluding the trees on it's head..... hehe

Mordheim Vampire Hunters NPCs: Diedrich's Men
All done and ready for undercoating, also finished off the last two below, that's all the NPCs conversion work finished, just need to paint them :).

Mordheim Vampire Hunters NPCs: Diedrich's Men
Just quick update to shop 3 more NPCs that may or may not be found in some scenarios, survivors from the routed Ostermark army
Same as usual parts list, greatsword heads, militia arms, with the exception of the greatsword who has one empire captain arm and a hand from a flagellant, torsos are from empire pistoliers but I push moulded 2 breastplates as I am running low on that torso, the back of those two guys is an empire militia torso (with the straps to make it look like they are holding the breastplate on). Cadian legs of course and 30mm "DS" style bases. Still need some kind of pommel for the end of the greatsword and some greenstuff work, particularly around the necks.
Still have to do one more spearman and a handgunner. Technically the halberdier isn't in the Wargame weavers roll for possibilities.... but if it's an empire army, there would have been halberdiers! lol.

Mordheim Vampire Hunters: Forces of Undead: Grave Guard Seneschal
Finally got around to putting some paint on this guy. Seriously unimpressed with the quality of the finecast piece though (the chest and left arm) it made it quite maddening to paint and at certain angles the figure looks a bit rubbish, but whatever, it's done, one more off the desk into the cabinet (until I get around to doing all the basing)

Mordheim Vampire Hunters: Forces of Undead (Rats & Hounds)
Mantic games undead hounds from the kickstarter exclusive hound keeper, and the undead rats are from one of their undead skelly unit plastic sprues.

Skaven Clans:Eshin Updated
Retrospective update as I haven't done anything really hobby related since about 2 days after my last update... lol.
Didn't take long to finish these two off from there really. I also painted the 2 other werewolves from the mantic set but I do not appear to have taken any photos of them yet.... nothing special very similar to the first one just with some different brown shades for the hair.

Undead - Flesh eaters: Werewolf & Ghoul king
Well erm, quite honestly I haven't done anything really hobby related beyond texturing some bases for over a month.... but I hadn't realised that I had 4 images yet to post up, these two and the final shots of the skaven Assassin and Black skaven which I will post this weekend.
The above figure is aMantic Kings of war Werewolf, with some putty work at the joints (frankly they fit REALLY badly.
The below figure is a GW Ghoul king from the undead dragon kit.
I have sort of (in my head) split the undead down to a few factions with these guys falling into the "Flesh eaters" sub faction with the ghouls and ghasts already posted. Just helps me to have a "theme" for the warband even if I have no particular rules in mind.

Skaven Clans:Eshin Updated
Almost finished these 2 guys now for the Eshin Skaven, I also assembled one plastic Stormvermin for the 2nd Black skaven, doesn't look anything like as cool as this guy, but then the majority of him was originally a special character and GW doesn't do some very cool character poses.
The pic is a bit small, sorry but you can always click to enlarge or right click and open in a new window or tab for even bigger still.... next time i'll just make sure I work the pictures to be a bit smaller in size so I can display them bigger lol.
Cheers

Mordheim Vampire Hunters: Forces of Undead (more Totem Bearers)
Converted and painted these over the last 2 weekends to go with the guy with the whip featured in my last undead post.
Both are converted from Mantic Ghouls with mantic spears and then GW heads and banner bits / corpse bits.
The left guy gets his banner from the GW skelly kit I believe while the right guy has the skulls cut from a duplicate banner and the torso that was held in a ghoul's hand, the heads are from the Corpse cart kit.... I have realised that I didn't take a good front on shot of the guy on the right so you can't see his face, i'll try to get a group shot of the zombies once the last totem bearer (with whip) is painted with a better shot of that guy.

Skaven Clans: Pestilen Update
Here's the update on the clan so far, in fact this is the entire warband as it stands really I don't have any other figures picked out for them yet.
The two clanrats below are the furthest along. I need to do the final highlights to the greens and browns of the robes on the rest of the miniatures.
Have a good weekend.

Skaven Clans: Pestilens Plague Monk ~PiP
Slowly getting this lot done in drips and drabs, sorry about the general lack of updates the last few months, but I don't expect to be able to keep up the current pace of updates for long unfortunately!
I actually read the warband yesterday and realised that 3 initiates is too many, so this guy I think will be the full blown monk instead (he's a little taller than the other two).
Plague Priest: The warband must include a single Plague Priest as the leader.
Pestilens Sorcerer: The warband may include a single Pestilens Sorcerer.
Plague Monks: The warband may include up to two Plague Monks.
Monk Initiates: The warband may include up to two Monk Initiates.

Skaven Clans: Pestilens Plague Priest PiP
Just a quick update with some photos of the progress on my plague priest / sourcerer not sure which yet, (need to find a figure for the other before I make my mind up lol).
Base colours and an ink shade so far, tonnes more work to do.
Not a conversion this one just the stock plague priest figure from the screaming bell / plague furnace kit.

Wood elves; Tharn: Swordmaiden and Druid
So I thought just updating my blog today with a picture of something I bought off eBay and just change the base of was a little rubbish, so here we have a proper update, of some models I have converted :)
The Tharn miniatures from Privateer press are pretty damned cool (well the not beast form ones at least (my opinion) and I have so many ideas for forest beasts and creatures etc that I'm probably going to have to split my miniature for the wood elf faction into a number of sub-factions, e.g. I have the faun, Tharn, Dryads, going to do some Centaurs, Satyr and Brownies, etc, just too much stuff for one warband.
So I wanted a bit of variation in the Tharn warband without having to use the beast form Tharn figures, so I converted the sword maiden above, well actually I was planning on making a mounted Tharn but I couldn't get the legs into a pose I wanted them and I don't have the skills to resculpt them satisfactorily, so it's a happy mistake in reality lol.-
I used clippers on purpose on this model despite the damage that they cause because I wanted them to force the legs apart to create the open legs for making a mounted pose however when I gave up on that it wasn't too hard to bend them to make the running pose instead.
I then had to putty over the damage to the loin cloth and a little to her legs, the skull on her belt was destroyed so I replaced it with a part from the new Wood elf wild rider kit (from the antlers).
I clipped and cut off the javelin from her left arm and used a file to make good all the bindings on her leg and arms (will have to see how that looks after undercoating, so hard to see on a shiny bit of metal lol.
The swords are from the wood elf glade guard kit, if I can get hold of some of the kingdom death rawhide upgrade axes at some point I will probably replace them for something more feral but there is very little out there in a decent size for the Tharn figures.
This guy is pretty much a stock Rackham Confrontation Kelt druid, rare now so I had to go over my budget to pick him up but i've no idea how else to make slightly over sized Male tharn (they are substantially bigger than the females), this guy isn't really big enough but he is bigger than the female models and being a druid I can explain it away by saying he's just a little weedy lol.
As you can see above the only conversion I did to this model was to remove the rounded upper part of his ears and greenstuff pointy ears (all Tharn have pointy elf like ears).
I will probably use the Kromac Figure to lead the Tharn split of warband as I own him anyway from all my Circle purchases, I have had to request a new set from Privateer press as the one I have has a major casting defect (basically all the detail is on his left leg but it's massively sunken back, as it if formed in the mould with a bubble behind it and collapsed during cooling).
I can probably repair the leg enough to use on a conversion for another male tharn, but I wanted the original detail on my Kromac.
I have found that the new style Ungor bodies could make decent male tharn conversions but I have not managed to source a decent set of mostly naked over sized male legs to convert the lower halves, so I will probably only end up with 2-3 male tharn in the list (I want to make a mounted one but I may cope out and just cover the legs with some coverings or something).
Cheers for reading (Especially if you got this far lol)

Wood elves: Dryad Heroine conversion purchased from eBay
I found this model on eBay a little while ago and I thought it looked absolultey amazing!, it reminds me of a character from Starcraft - brood wars.
I have a quandry with the paintwork though, it's pretty good but it doesn't match my scheme at all, so I have to work out what i'm going to do about that lol.As I didn't convert this model take this list with a pinch of salt, but I believe the parts are:
- Drycha Branchwraith Hero at a different angle (the slotta is at an angle in the base with the rest built up with greenstuff / plastic dryad branch bits) and the right arm assembled almost straight down instead of 90 degrees ish
- OOP metal Demonette head
- Plastic branch bits & stone from the Dryad kit
- Greenstuff - mostly the head and hand, but some of the bark on her is GS too.
I'm really glad I won this model though I probably would have attempted
to re-create it if I didn't lol (I have a couple of old demonettes lying
around and dryad bits, I would just have needed to buy Drycha)
It will also go great with the Dryad king i'm planning on making based on this fantastic converison:

Skaven Clans: Pestilens Plauge initiates and clan rats PiP
Paint in progress shot of the first members of the Pestilens clan, 2 plague intiates converted from the screaming bell kit and 2 stock clan rats, chosen for their ragged and mutated appearence, and of course the flail type weapons were picked for this warband.

Skaven Clans:Eshin Night runners & Black Skaven
Night Runner with fighting claws, based on the standard clan rat, with standard claw arm, the other claw is from another arm, carved off and glued on the static arm. I cut off the left leg and repositioned it, then sculpted the knee back on.
Another night runner this one was converted by cutting off the left hand and glueing on a dark eldar hand with a knife. The other arm is a stock Skaven one..
Black skaven from one of the metal skaven characters I bought the body on it's own off eBay with no other parts, so I converted it with a plastic storm vermin head, and a beastman arm / flail.
