Framed Dame Avaline with Make it Crafty

I really love the new medieval digis - such detail and so many amazing folds & waves! My version of Dame Aveline has been a bit slow to come together. I coloured her before the release, but then took a few weeks to work out how to make her into a project.

I finally decided to create a background with Mystical Castle in a photo frame. The only problem is I didn't think about how challenging phototgraphing a reflective bronze frame would be ..... but I never think of useful practical things like that do I? :P

So here she is. I coloured her in a nice deep rich red colour & then fussy cut her so she sits on the top of the frame. I kept the background colouring fairly muted so she stands our in all her vibrancy. Unfortunately her colour has come out a little bleached with trying to get a photo without too bad a reflection, but you get the idea. Here's her close up. Oh those folds & waves!!!

Here's a close up of Mystical Castle digi. I do love the medieval fairytale magic of this digi - I've used it on several occasions in the past as it's such a great background.

I hope you like my creation & hope you have fun colouring these images yourself.

A Royal Wedding with Tiddly Inks

Now you may have heard there's a wedding happening in Windsor, UK tomorrow ...... I mean it's not been mentioned on the media at all really has it :P :P :P I couldn't resist making a slightly tongue in cheek Harry & Meghan inspired card for Fab Friday over at the Tiddly Inks Stamps blog. Obviously the official wedding attire is a closely guarded secret so I've taken a guess, but I thought Love You Mostest was just prefect.

I made her veil shimmer using Wink Of Stella. Here you can see the colouring underneath the veil.

A bit of Union Jack washi tape & there it was finished. Nice and easy.

I added some Sakura Stardust pen to the sentiment.

Cherry Blossom with Make it Crafty & Tiddly Ink Stamps

Now you all know I'm a fan of both Make it Crafty and Tiddly Inks Stamps. I mean I'm on the Design Teams for both so that shows just how much I love them. Well recently Zoe of Make it Crafty and Christy of Tiddly Inks Stamps were having a 'friendly discussion' about who's Cherry Blossom did stamp was best. I love them both ... so decided to combine them both in one card!

Cheeky idea I know, but I love how the two designs work together and compliment each other!

Cherry Blossom from Make it Crafty is the larger image in the foreground Cherry Blossoms from Tiddly Inks is the smaller image in the background. I coloured them with my copics concentrating the brighter colours & Wink of Stella on the branch in the foreground & keeping the branches in the background more muted. I'm hoping that adds to the perspective I was aiming for.

I finished the card by mounting on black card & adding chipboard words - 0.5" Hello Word Chipboard and 2.0" Friend Word Chipboard.

I coloured the chippies using RV02 & 100 Copics, added Wink of Stella to the top layer, then a layer of Glossy Accents as a finishing touch.

I hope you like it and come and join in the challenges this month

I'll leave you with this picture of a beautiful tree covered in blossom that I saw this week. Not a cherry tree, but it was incredibly beautiful. Not what you expect to find in the swimming pool car park in Devon, UK. The blossom has been late this year, but the trees have suddenly burst into flower all at once.
