So I recently discovered another challenge that I like, but haven't had a chance to participate yet... until now! It's called One Layer Wednesday (here's the original post) and you're not allowed to bling out your card with lots of layers and embellishments.
Some day, I'd like to catch up and make all the challenges from the past, but for now, I have another Christmas card design to show you that fits the challenge of including 'heavy metal' on the card:
The tree is embossed with gold, which is hard to see in the picture. I also drew a little extra gold on the 'm' and the 'c' in the sentiment.
Like it? Packs will be available in the shop!

Awww...this is just adorable! Love that tree.
LOVE this! What a great tree, and highlighting the initials of the sentiment in gold is a brilliant touch (pun intended, LOL!). Thanks so much for playing along!
Thanks! I love how this challenge 'forces' us to think simply, which can turn out some very lovely designs.
And part of my inspiration is from the Exposures catalog.
Love it! it's awesome!
Nice simple card. The gold embossing is hard to photograph (I had trouble with mine, too.) Yours looks quite elegant.
That tree is perfect all gold embossed!
Sweet little OL card! And yes, I hoard too!
This is really pretty! Love the metallic tree!
Thanks again everyone!
I took a peek at what kind of gold embossing powder I have and discovered it's called 'pirate gold'. Perhaps that's why it's so dark!
Now I want to try this again with a lighter powder... which means I'll have to go to the scrapbook store. Bummer. ;)
