This year's costumes were kind of wimpy due to circumstances (see all the packing going on?).
Avery was a fairy (she got that costume way back here),
Evan was an elf (Grandma Cook made that vest for Jim when he was a babe),
and Piper was a wizard? I don't know...she had a cape on.
The cutest and most expensive part of both their costumes were the headpieces. Both refused to wear them.
Candy!
My friend Robin was a gypsy fortune teller.
She saw in our future: "much travel and when the children have grown they will make their beds."
I wonder who is going to teach them that? The adults of the home don't even make their bed.
I will say it again: what a great holiday. Pure candy debauchery without any real reason at all.

What did you do with Piper while you are in TX? Did you take her with you?
she's here with us...
Jimi's family is so cool about keeping stuff from his childhood. I have pretty much nothing.
We had a fortune teller at our church party and she would say cute stuff to the kids like, "I see you marrying a handsome man in the temple someday."
