Verve Divas Inspiration Hop {June}

Welcome to Verve's June Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's hopping time again! So climb aboard Destination: Inspiration for a fun trip through Verveland today. In addition to a comment prize hidden along the hop, we're debuting our June inspiration challenge as well! Play along for another chance to win!

Our June challenge is Winged Whimsy:

Let your creation soar by featuring wings! Think butterflies, birds, feathers or related sentiments. Celebrate the beauty of flight! Whether you draw inspiration from the graphic or fly a solo mission, let's see some winged beauties!

What a fabulous challenge for June!  It was nice to look through all the Verve goodies and find the winged image for this card.  I chose to use this sweet little bird in With Love.

I started by stamping the trio in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then I stamped them again on little sticky notes.  I cut out the images on the sticky notes and then masked the image, so I could then stamp the distressed dots from Better Together.  I stamped the sentiment from With Love in black ink and then added some yellow sequins from the Pastel Sequin Mix.

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we've got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blog today for all the prize info and deadlines, and a little bit about our brand new Diva!

Tonight I have a little sneak of the Stripes Cover-Up Die-namics and the Bride & Groom Die-namics.

I am using a Grapesicle Card Stock base and then I cut out the Stripes Cover-Up Die-namics in Grapesicle Card Stock as well and glued it right to the card base.  I added a Rectangle Frames Die-namics in Whip Cream Card Stock right over the top of the Stripes Cover-Up Die-namics die cut.  After cutting out the Bride & Groom Die-namics, I popped them up on the card front and then added the sentiment, which I heat embossed on white vellum card stock.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 221

Good morning!!  It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  Want to play along?  Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close on Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time). Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC221 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

Please be nice to me today.  It's been a looong time since I've stamped and I think I've completely lost my mojo.  I hope it comes back soon!  I have a lot of fun things to show you over the next few weeks!  For this card, I picked up one of the sentiments from Chalkboard Greetings from My Favorite Things.

I stamped the greeting in Black Licorice Ink on Smooth White Card Stock and then stamped the Star Background in Sno Cone Ink right along with it.  I think that's a fun look, don't you?  For the larger background panel, I stamped the Grid Background in Sno Cone Ink on Sno Cone Card Stock and then I added the little Stacking Stars Die-namics accent in Sour Apple.

Be sure to stop by and see what the Sweet Sunday Stampers have whipped up for you today:
