You're My Hero {SSSC262}

Hello and happy, happy weekend! I'm here with another fun card for the new Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. Here's a look at the sketch:

There are so many possibilities with this one. I happened to flip it horizontally in order to work with the image a little better. I inked up You're Super from My Favorite Things and actually colored with my Copics again! What? Yep.

The card base is Sno Cone card stock and I added a little strip of X-Press It Blending card stock with the Diagonal Stripes background in Fog ink. I also cut out the girl and the fun sentiment element in X -Press It card stock and then stamped the image in Black Licorice Hybrid ink. The Pinking Edge Circle Die-namics is sponged with Tangy Orange, Orange Fizz, Lemon Drop and Banana Split inks an then I stamped the buildings in Black Licorice ink for the silhouette. The little enamel dots are from the Birthday Boy assortment by Doodlebug Design.

Hop on over to the Sweet Sunday Sketch Blog to take a peek at all cards from the design team and you can link up your project there as well. Happy stamping!

All Things Grow with Love

Good morning! I think March Madness has been the best thing for my creative mojo. While the Hubs watched a million games over the weekend, I stamped and organized. I ordered some new (to me) Verve sets and they arrived on Saturday, so it was a happy stamping weekend!

I used a few different sets to create this image - the leaves and sentiment are from Bloom & Grow, the hearts are from Love Notes, and the double line is from Borderline. How long has Borderline been hiding from me!? Be prepared to see images from that set here on my blog a lot. A whole lot. Love that set!

So, how perfect is this for a wedding card? I loved how this one turned out. It's like a magical moment took over my craft space and the image in my head was surpassed by the card it created. Yum!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

recipe -
stamps: bloom & grow (verve), love notes (verve), borderline (verve)
paper: smooth white (mft), smoke (sss)
ink: black licorice (mft), smoke (sss), pink lemonade (mft), sour apple (mft)
accessories: pearls (su!), foam tape

Happy You're My Friend {SSSC261}

This week absolutely flew by! It must be the warmer weather, right? I feel like stamping flowers and bright, happy colors all the time right now. Might as well go with it until the flowers finally bloom here in my brown, dormant yard.

I'm back with this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge - yay! Here's a peek at the sketch:

For this card I used the Reflections stamp set from Paper Smooches and I stamped the leaves in Factory Green ink and then filled in the blossoms randomly.  The sentiment is from Flowers On My Mind by Simon Says Stamp, which I simply stamped on a strip of Smooth White card stock. Easy peasy!

Hop on over to the Sweet Sunday Sketch Blog to take a peek at all cards from the design team and you can link up your project there as well. Happy stamping!

You've Been On My Mind {SSSC260}

Good morning! I have a new card for you, using Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC260.  I love the wonky panel - it's so perfect for a piece of patterned paper.  Here's a look at the sketch -

My Kit of the Month from Simon Says Stamp arrived this week and I couldn't wait to use this delicious paper! Yellow, grey, and black is scrumptious! The kit came with journaling cards, so I used one of those with the flower trio on it for the main panel. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with white super fine powder. Yum! I also added a few enamel dots (not with the kit, but perfectly delicious) to fill up some of the white space.

Hop on over to the Sweet Sunday Sketch Blog to take a peek at all the design team cards and you can link up your card there as well. Happy stamping!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 259 - and a CHANGE

Hello and happy Sunday! I have an exciting announcement for you today - as of this very moment, the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge has moved to its very own blog!

I am so very grateful to the SSSC team for all of their help in getting this move completed smoothly and I do hope you will enjoy the new space. Hop on over and check it out HERE. You will be able to post your challenge cards and projects over there.

Since we have a new place for the SSSC, you will be able to see all of the Sweet Sunday Stampers' designs all in one place, which will certainly inspire your creativity through the week.

We will also be showcasing some of our favorite cards each Wednesday, so be on the lookout for that new feature! We are very excited about that.

This week, the challenge is to create a new card using a sketch favorite from all of the past sketches. It's SO difficult to choose just one! I thought I'd go way, way back and use sketch SSSC83.  You can find all of the past sketches at the SSSC Flickr page.

I have always been a complete sucker for flower and leaf dies, so this sketch is one of my absolute favorites.

The card base is 4-3/4" square and I'm using patterned paper from Cut & Paste "Adorbs" and "Presh" by My Mind's Eye. The sentiment is from Cheerful Blessings and I stamped it in Nightshift Blue ink. I used the Flower Medley Die-namics set for the blossoms and the Leafy Branch die for the greenery. Love that combo!

Don't forget to stop by the Sweet Sunday Sketch Blog, where you can find all the details and the link-up for your project.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Isn't this a fun challenge?! I love the inspiration graphic - those stripes and dots!! De-lish!! My daughter has a birthday party coming up this weekend, so she helped me pick out the paper - so there are lots and lots of polka dots on this one! Ha!

One of my go-to birthday sentiments is from Treasured Words, which I stamped in bright pink ink so it stands out nicely.

I added a few enamel dots around the sentiment, and now that I'm looking at the photo of the card, maybe I should have added stars or balloons or something - wow, that's a lot of dots!

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we've got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blog today for all the prize info and deadlines!
