This week we are switching it up a bit and throwing a skinny card your way.  My card here, is 5.5" x 3.5".  I switched out the circle element for a flower.

I cut out the Tropical Sensations Die-namics in Smooth White Card Stock and then stamped the MPD Tropical Sensations flower in Orange Fizz.  For the background, I stamped the Striped Background on Sno Cone Card Stock with Sno Cone Ink and then added a couple enamel dots.

Be sure to stop by and see what the Sweet Sunday Stampers have created for you this week.  They always blow me away with their creativity!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club

Hello!  It's Wednesday, and that means it's time for another fun sketch challenge from MFT!  Here's a look at the sketch:

I have a card for you today, using Chalkboard Greetings Too.  LOVE these giant greetings!

I started by cutting out a wide strip of Smooth White Card Stock and then stamped the greeting in Steel Grey Ink.  I cut out a Heirloom Label Die-namics in Sno Cone Card Stock and then added the strip through the center of the label.  I added two 1/8" strips of glitter paper to border the greeting and then trimmed the excess paper from the edges.  My flower is a Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die-namics in Orange Fizz Card Stock.  I sponged the edges of the petals in Tangy Orange Ink, which really made this flower pop.  I cut out a couple Layered Leaves Die-namics in Sour Apple Card Stock as well.

Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details on how you can win some MFT goodies!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 212

Good morning!!  It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  Want to play along?  Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. I've been taking the Clean and Simple 3: One Layer Cards class over at Online Card Classes and I have to tell you, this class is quite an eye opener!  I can't wait to post more projects using some of the techniques I've learned.  Although this card isn't a one layer card, I used the nested die cut technique for my sentiment panel.

I started by cutting out Orange Fizz, Sour Apple, Sno Cone, and Sweet Tooth card stock with the Chevron Cover-Up Die-namics and then then adhered the chevrons to a scrap of computer paper.  I cut the new chevron card stock to size and then ran it through my die cut machine with a Thank You Die-namics, right in the center.  Remember to save the little piece inside the "a" so you can fill in the letter later.  I cut out the same "thank" die again in Black Licorice Card Stock and then placed the letters in the negative space of the chevron paper.  The panel remains nice and flat, AND your letters are nice and straight and evenly spaced.  I used part of a sentiment from Sending Thanks to stamp the "you" on a LLD Accent It - Flags & Tags Die-namics and popped it up with foam tape.  I created a faux layer underneath by masking off a rectangular space and then stamped it with a MPD Distressed Background Blocks in Grout Gray Ink.
