Sweet Sunday Sketch 194

Good morning!!  It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close in two weeks, next Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time). Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC194 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

OK, so yeah... It's been more than 2 weeks since I've actually stamped, let alone post on my blog, so my apologies for the looooong absence.  I felt the need for a little R&R and family time.  This time of year takes it out of me - soccer, dance, back to school, homework, dance, dance, more dance.  But I'm used to the routine now and I'm back in the saddle!  Yay!

I made a card using this adorable Pure Innocence It's a Sign set from My Favorite Things.  I didn't get a chance to ink her up during the September release, so I thought it was way past time to use her.

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black on X-Press It Blending Card Stock and then paper pieced the chalk board with Kraft and Black Licorice Card Stock.  I used the chevron pattern from Washi Patterns in Black Licorice Ink to decorate her skirt and then colored the rest of her with Copic Markers.  I think it looks stinkin' adorable!  I need to remember that pattern skirt for another time.

The apple is cut out in Electric Red Card Stock with the Red Delicious Die-namics set and then I accented the leaves and stem in Sour Apple and Hot Fudge Card Stock.  I stamped some LJD Darling Dots in Electric Red Ink directly on the apple and then added some curly-q stitching from LJD Hearts & Stitches on the Smooth White panel underneath.

Ok, so you may be wondering where my card is.  I'm wondering the same thing!  I don't have a card just yet; things have been nuts around here and I haven't stamped in over a week.  I'm so sorry!  I really am.  I'll have one soon.

In the meantime, please hop on over to see what the Sweet Sunday Stampers have whipped up for you this week.  Enjoy!

MFT September Release Rewind

Hello there! Have you seen all of the new and fabulous September products from My Favorite Things?   All of the new products are available in the MFT Boutique right now and the design team is having a little Release Rewind party tonight.

I have a card for you using the new Blueprints 7 Die-namics along with this month's Free With $60 set, Large Scale Backgrounds

I grabbed the Blueprints 7 Digital Sketch Sheet and copied one of the sketches there.   The card base is Sno Cone Card Stock and then I used the large square from the set to cut out the Smooth White panel.  I stamped the houndstooth pattern in Black Licorice Ink and then added the other fun elements from the Blueprints 7 Die-namics set.

Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for more inspiration from the other designers on the team.

Faith

Good morning, friends!  I hope your weekend is off to a good start.  We are having a little family time in the mountains this weekend and it is a much needed break from all the scheduled activities I find myself driving to every day.

I did manage to find some time to myself while the kids were in school this week and I was all sorts of crafty!  I worked on this fun Viva la Verve sketch for September - Week 2.

I inked up this wonderful sentiment set, Let it Be and made it the center of my card.  For the circle accent of the sketch, I used a pink button and the leaves from Dream Big and cut them out with the Dreamy Leaves Die Set.

Be sure to stop by the Verve Stamps Forum at Splitcoaststampers and check out all the details for this week's Viva la Verve challenge.

You can find these gorgeous Verve products waiting for you in the Verve Store:
