There She Goes Preview | Day THREE
Howdy! It's an exciting week here for There She Goes and the Trendsetters have a fun little blog hop to kick off the new release - PLUS you have a chance to win some goodies, so keep reading and find out the details. The hop started off at There She Goes, but if you came to my blog from Julie's, then you're at the right stop.
Are you ready for another Torico-illustrated character set? I hope so, because we are in love with her latest release that showcases sweet little
ladies enjoying the pleasures of spring along with some of their favorite spring creatures and blooms.
Blossom By Blossom is a 4X8 stamp set that includes a total of 22 stamps and will sell for $18.
I'm just in love with this set - so many sweet little images and the combinations are endless! I started by stamping this image in Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored it with Copic Markers. The papers are Togetherness by Cosmo Cricket. Add some fun stitched grosgrain ribbon and a Bow Easy bow, and voila!
Would you like a chance to win the Blossom By Blossom stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Blossom By Blossom Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Blossom By Blossom stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday (Apr. 30th) during the Release Party Chat.
Next on the blog hop is the super fabulous Kim!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

There She Goes Preview | Day TWO
Welcome back to day 2 for the little sneaky peeks for the upcoming There She Goes release! We're celebrating with a blog hop challenge for you and there is chance to win some goodies, so be sure to read along to the end of my post to find out how. The hop started off at There She Goes, but if you came to my blog from Julie's, then you're at the right stop.
Know someone who takes everything too seriously? Or maybe you know someone who needs a little pick-me-up? This set illustrated by our fabulous Torico will “brighten” anyone’s day! There are not only a variety of lamp bases and shades, but there are also some heartfelt and humorous sentiments to coordinate perfectly with the images.
Lighten Up is a 4X6 stamp set that includes a total of 20 stamps and will sell for $15.
How adorable are these teeny tiny lamps?!! I just love the silhouette of these particular images from Lighten Up. I thought it would be fun to have the light kind of illuminating around the lamps, so I stamped the images in black Staz-On ink and then reverse masked over the images in order to sponge the inside of the oval as a template. The layout is Sweet Stop's SSS105.
Would you like a chance to win the Lighten Up stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Lighten Up Blog Hop Challenge post. There She Goes Preview | Day ONE
Have a bad day at the office? Or maybe you have a bad office every day? If either of these pertains to your situation, you will definitely enjoy this tongue-and-cheek set illustrated by Jessica…and anyone would be happy to receive a creation using this hilarious set!
Confidential is a 4X6 stamp set that includes a total of 12 stamps and will sell for $15.
This set is so hysterical, full of so many witty sentiments that are bound to get a laugh. I combined a few stamps on this card. I stamped the laptop and flower vase first in Memento Tuxedo Black and then masked over them and stamped the big image. I colored it all with Copics and then cut it with a Wonky Rectangles Nestabilities die and traced the inside of the die with a black marker. Loved this look when I saw Jodi use it, so I'm totally copying her.
Once again Chris Dark has amazed us with a whimsical and spring-inspired stamp set. Who wouldn’t want to be outside enjoying the scenes of spring as everything comes to life? This set is a celebration of exactly that!
Garden of Life is a 3X4 stamp set that includes a total of 7 stamps and will sell for $7.
I made a super easy and fun card with Garden of Life and started by stamping the sunflower 4 times in Memento Tuxedo Black and then coloring them with copics. I added the dragonflies and added some glitter in their wings - and of course I needed to add some fun buttons to those flowers too.
Would you like a chance to win the Confidential and Garden of Life stamp sets? Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 114
Good morning - It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close on Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time), and I'll randomly select one card to feature on my blog on Saturday. So, as long as your card is linked by 10 PM Friday, your card will be in the drawing. Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC114 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.
I bought myself another little Pure Innocense Girl from My Favorite Things and just couldn't wait to ink her up! This cutie is from Being Cute Is What I Do and I bought her because I fell in love with her little pony tails. I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black and again on Stella & Rose Hazel paper to paper piece her little shirt. I colored her in with Copics and then stamped the sentiment on vellum, which just happens to be a happy mistake since I didn't judge the room underneath her to put the sentiment under the ribbon I was going to put there instead. So happy times! I actually like the look of that and will have to remember that in the future. The flower is a Die-namic from MFT as well and I'm still figuring out how to work it without rolling it too tight. haha!
Today is also Sarah-Jane's and Vicki's birthday, so please be sure to wish them a happy day. Oh, right, and it's mine too! Sweet Sunday Celebration over here, hehe!
The Sweet Sunday Stampers have amazing sketch samples to show you today, so stop on by to see:
Thanks for taking on the challenge this week!

Taylored Expressions Blast From the Past Blog Hop
Howdy! Today is the 20th and that means it's time for another TE Blast From the Past Blog Hop! This month's theme is clean and simple - clean lines, lots of white space, limited layering, and a single focal image. Clean & simple?? Yes please! I love the look of clean and simple!
I started by stamping the tea pot from CreativiTEA in Colorbox Rose Coral on Choice Buttercream cardstock. The patterned paper is none other than Stella & Rose Hazel by My Mind's Eye (can't get enough of it!) and I added a little Latte Pearl on the top of the tea pot.
Thanks so much for stopping by today - please keep going along the hop and see all these talented stampers' clean and simple creations -
recipe -
stamps: creativitea (taylored expressions)
paper: kraft, choice buttercream (taylored expressions) cardstock, stella & rose hazel (my mind's eye)
ink: colorbox rose coral & dark brown fluid chalk
accessories: labels 9 nestabilities (spellbinders), latte pearls (kaisercraft)

Taylored Expressions Special Release
Surprise! Taylor has so many cute new things in the store, we just had to give you another little morsel for the middle of April! Today the Baker's Dozen is introducing 3 new sets, Labels of Love and coordinating Ribbon Tag Trio 3 Spellbinders dies, You're My Typer Upper, and You're My Type Lower. Everything you see along the way is available at Taylored Expressions right now - as in RIGHT now! No waiting this week.
We also want to send out a HUGE thank you to Spellbinders, who graciously sent each of the Baker's Dozen team members a Grand Calibur die cut machine! I know!! I just love this machine especially since the die cut plates are 8-1/4" x 12" and make cutting out multiple dies a snap since you can run them all through at the same time. I always layer up my Nestabilities, so cutting them all in one easy pass is a HUGE time saver for me.
All of the dies on this cutting plate are the dies I used on my first card to show you - I usually go through my scaps to use for my dies.
I want to start out by showing you Labels of Love, which is a gorgeous set of fancy labels and sentiments that easily compliment many of the TE sets. I decided to match the labels with some of TE's amazing dies - Leafy Branch, Friendship Blooms, and Butterflies.
I used SSSC83 as the inspiration for the layout and paired up the tag with a die from the Ribbon Tag Trio 3 Spellbinders die set. All of the sentiments are separate from the tags, so you can mix and match for any occasion and any style. This card measures 5x5.
My next card showcases TE's new alphabet stamps, You're My Type Upper and You're My Type Lower.
I was so excited when this little number came together - I LOVE this one. I used the same basic layout, but just tweaked it a bit - I stamped each of the letters in HAPPY in Colorbox Dark Brown Fluid Chalk ink and then cut them out with a Square Nestabilities die. Each of the pennants are cut out with the 2 nesting Pennant Shapeablities Dies and I folded the larger pennant over the top of the smaller pennant to create a hook for them to hang on the baker's twine. I didn't glue down the entire small pennant so that I could lift it away from the background. I cut out the "9" from a sheet of Fine & Dandy True Blue paper from My Mind's Eye and then stamped the "th" using You're My Type Lower. "Birthday to You" is from Make a Wish. The background paper is embossed with the Stars Impression Plate. This card is also 5"x5".
I know you'll love the rest of the projects for today's surprise release, so please stop by and see the rest of the Baker's Dozen -

TSG103: Monochromatic Magic
Hello, hello! I'm hosting this week's There She Goes challenge and I've chosen to challenge you all to make a monochromatic card - yes, I hear the groans already, but this can be fun! All you need to do is make a card using one or more shades of one color along with one neutral color - then post it on the There She Goes Blog and you can be eligible to win a $5 gift card to the TSG store! Stop on by the blog and check out all the details.
For my card, I've chosen a light blue color scheme and picked coordinating papers from The Thrift Shop paper pack by October Afternoon. I'm still laughing as I type this - Technology Bytes is such a witty set and it always has me chuckling to myself. I'm using the little cell phone and paper pieced it with patterned paper and added a little glaze accents on the buttons. "Hey, it's Tiger..." SNORT! All I see in my head when I read that is Tiger's little story of how his wife had to "rescue" him after he backed his SUV into a tree in his yard by bashing in the windows with his golf clubs. Oh brother. Let's all be safe out there and practice safe text, huh? LOL! The layout is The Sweet Stop's SSS104.
Hope to see you in the challenge this week - deadline to post your link is Monday, April 25! Thanks so much for stopping by.

I really had a blast with this sketch and love to play with different items to have peeking over the circle panel. Today I chose to string balloons from the buttons to the top of the card - pretty fun! I picked up some Life of the Party paper by Basic Grey and matched it with Make a Wish from Taylored Expressions. The cake is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics and then I cut it out and popped it up with dimensional tape. The balloons are cut out with the Make a Wish Balloons dies.
The Sweet Sunday Stampers have amazing sketch samples to show you today, so stop on by to see:

You Make Me Hot
Teehee! I always laugh at the little sayings in this set, Kitschy Kitchen and wanted to ink the little toaster up, just for fun. I'm using Taylor's TESC136 for the layout. I stamped the image in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored it with Copics and then I stamped the sentiment and cut it in the middle to make the tag go through the image to match the sketch. The papers are Stella & Rose Mabel (love the oranges in this paper pack!) and I added a little touch of Latte Pearls in the top corner.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Karen
recipe -
stamps: kitschy kitchen (taylored expressions)
paper: aqua mist (pti), pumpkin pie (su!), choice buttercream (taylored expressions) cardstock, stella & rose mabel (my mind's eye)
ink: memento rich cocoa
accessories: latte pearls (kaisercraft), circle/large scallop nestabilities (spellbinders), copic markers

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 112
Good morning - It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close on Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time), and I'll randomly select one card to feature on my blog on Saturday. So, as long as your card is linked by 10 PM Friday, your card will be in the drawing. Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC112 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.
While I was cleaning out my craft area and getting old items ready to donate and trash (GASP!), I came across some of these Sweet Pea felt flowers from SU! that I had somehow forgotten about. It's like new stuff! They became my "stars" for this card, hehe. I absolutely love how this little Pure Innocence girl turned out - I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black and paper pieced the dress and colored the rest with Copics. The patterned paper is Stella & Rose Hazel (naturally) and I just added a few twill tape tags under the panel. Super easy card!
The Sweet Sunday Stampers have amazing sketch samples to show you today, so stop on by to see:
Thanks for taking on the challenge this week!

Taylored Expressions Release Party
It's the Taylored Expressions release party and the Baker's Dozen is wrapping up this week of peeks by showcasing all the sets, dies, and kits available for you today - woohoo! The TE store has one fantastic place to see all the new items in the store in the Fresh Out of the Oven tab on the home page, so you can find all of these release items together there.
I'm showcasing the new Mom A la Carte stamp this morning and wanted to do some paper piecing with it.
The image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Choice Buttercream cardstock and then I stamped it again on Stella & Rose Gertie paper and cut out the letters, coffee cup, and saucer to paper piece. I did go back and color some of the mug and saucer with Copics to give it some character and fill up that cute mug with some joe. The image is cut out with a rectangle Nestabilities die and then I traced a border around the inside of the die leaving an open area for the Chocolate Pearls. Karen and Jodi inspired me with that little technique.
For a subtle accent, I ran the Large Scallop Border Die cut paper through the Big Shot with the Hearts Impression Plate - the little hearts are a perfect match for the heart swirl of steam over the cup.
The card size is 5"x5".
These are the dies and impression plate I used in today's project:

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek | Day 2
Welcome back to Taylored Expressions release week peeks! We've got lots to show you again today; here's what's on the menu:
- It's a Banner Day 3
- Banner Day 3 Taylored Die
- Mom A la Carte stamp
- Taylored Card Kits
When I saw the "my sweet friend" sentiment in It's a Banner Day 3, I instantly thought of those delicious treats in the set Sprinkled With Love. I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Copics and added some yummy Espresso Dimentional Pearls for that ooey gooey frosting. The banner is stamped in Toffee Fluid Chalk Ink and cut out with the Banner Day 3 Taylored Die and then I stamped on the sentiment.
Another darling stamp that will be available tomorrow at 8 AM Pacific is the Mom A la Carte, illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line.
Isn't it the cutest? It's perfect for every occasion you can think of for your mom. Mother's Day is right around the corner, birthdays, thank-you's, and of course those cards you send to her just because you love her. I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Copics and then I stamped it again so I could cut out the tea cup and saucer and pop it up with dimensional tape.
Both of my cards today were made using the Hello Lucious Card Kit, which includes:
- 10 Choice Buttercream Cardstock A-2 card bases
- 10 A-2 envelopes
- 15 sheets of patterned paper sized for cardmaking at 4" x 6" (3 sheets each of 5 double-sided patterns from the Basic Grey Hello Luscious collection)
- 20 sheets of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" cardstock (4 sheets each of 5 colors)
- 1 package of Kaisercraft Rhinestones
- 8 panels of Choice Buttercream Cardstock size 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (for images and layering)
- 5 yards of ribbon (2.5 yards each of 2 different styles)
- 1 Perfect Package Card Box

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek | Day 1
Hello and welcome to another week of Taylored Expressions sneak peeks! The Baker's Dozen is giving you a little preview of 3 new sets and coordinating dies today:
- Dream Big Full-sized Stamp Set
- Treasure Life Full-sized Stamp Set
- Apothecary Shelf A la Carte Stamp
- Apothecary Taylored Die Set
- Stars Impression Plate
With graduation season right around the corner, Nancy has whipped up a fun set to help you out with not only your graduation cards and gifts, but any occasion that brings on a change in one's life. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut them out with circle Nestabilities. I embossed the kraft and red cardstock with TE's new Stars Impressions Plate, which is double sided and gives you 2 fantastic patterns. You can see how to use the Impressions Plates in this tutorial Taylor created. Just one pass through your die cut machine using the Embossing Pad Kit is all you need to do - super easy!
Next up is Treasure Life, another set designed by Nancy McKinney with 23 images and sentiments that can be used for every occasion. Each sentiment is in beautiful script and the jar filler images can be used both inside and outside the jars and coordinate beautifully with the new Apothecary Shelf A la Carte stamp as well as Apothecary Taylored Die set.
I stamped 3 different jars and then using a stamp positioner I stamped the filler items in the jars. I used the Take Note Die 3 to cut the image out. The papers are Stella & Rose Hazel and I tucked the sentiment underneath the ribbon after cutting it out with the Favor Frame die.
There is much more eye candy out there for you today, so hop on by and see the rest of the Baker's Dozen:
