a little seed of faith

Announcing the birth of this little thing:

(isn't she adorable? the designer did an amazing job. look at some of these inside pages...)

My very first book for real live adult people.
(also available as an ebook for $3.99...holy cow that's a good little price)
It's my 2011 TOFW talk "The Faith Experiment" captured in the cutest little gift book.

Yesterday some friends threw me a shower and one of them said, "Look at how your faith experiment has turned out!"
And while I don't believe the "turning out" had to do with the "outcome" (because faith is not about outcomes), I DO believe that the principles I learned and shared in this little book are absolutely true and I do believe they can be life changing. And, as it happened, produced results in my life I do believe would have happened no other way.
Pray.
Think.
Live.

I love how this little book turned out and and I want to share it.
So....

The first 15 comments will get a copy.
Yep. You read that right.
I love my little blog world and I am giving away FIFTEEN COPIES.
Make sure to email me your mailing address to LaurelDOTChristensenATgmailDOTcom after you leave your comment here. And, if you feel so inclined, share the book with others you think could benefit.

Here's to YOUR faith experiment.
xoxo

So excited about your book. Thanks for acknowledging that faith is a journey which can produce spiritual gifts, even when that is not the goal.

I remember the first talk I remember hearing you give. You discussed the painting of the Savior with little children and having your picture painted with your brother Davids. It now hung in our Stake Center. I remember thinking that you were one of the most interesting speakers. One who could get me thinking and questioning. I look forward to this new book. lorriemunsonatsbglobaldotnet.

I am so glad this was put into a little book. When I went to TOFW in Denver and heard your talk I couldn't help but think..."dang how does she know my heart????" I guess that's how the Spirit communicates. My mom and I have this tradition that we get a sweet little book and we pass it around when we are done with it. So, I will read it, she will read it, then who knows who will get it next.

I am so happy to see how your path is turning out. I love your girl talks so I can't wait to hear your talks to us big girls. I agree with your statement that Faith is not about the outcome, isn't it great when we can finally get to that place to say, I can be happy no matter what. Congrats.

Just went to TOFW and bought "LYFSGUD" for my 13 yr old daughter...when she read the title. "If God sent you a text message..." she said: That's great Mom! How is God going to text me since you won't get me a cell phone??? Hahaha....just another ploy to try to convince me she should have one. Funny girl!! If I thought he was the only one texting her and her Him, I would have bought it for her years ago!! :)
