Bee Happy!

Happy Thursday everyone and thanks for coming by!
It's our Anything Goes challenge this week at Mo's DP2 and I wanted to show you a card I made with a very cute little bee, an image I just fell in love with:

Not quite my favorite color palette here, but I'm guessing we've got to try out different color combos now and then. That was my own challenge for today:)
Card recipe:
Image: Mo Manning- Baby fairy Bee
DP: Cajoline Papers
Embellishments: mulberry paper flowers/WOC, crocheted flowers, pom-poms, wooden embellies, Tim Holtz- film strip, pearls
Die-cuts: Cart-Us scalopped rectangle, Cheery Lynn- French Pastry Doily, Poppystamps- Lorelei Leaf
Sentiment: computer generated

This card is for sale in my Etsy shop here.

I'm gonna be brief today as we're celebrating Easter this weekend and have plenty to do till then.

Hope you will find some time this week to join us at Mo's, there are plenty of  new (but also old:)) images to choose from and we'd love to see what you make!
Till next time, take care and enjoy the warm weather!

Pastel Colors at Mo's DP2

Hi there sweet peeps! Hope your day is so far and just getting better:).
First, I would like to thank all those who took the time to leave me a comment during this past week. The Spring Blog Hop at Mo's was such fun and we were happy to see so many of you visiting our blogs:)
This week's challenge at Digital Pencil Too was chosen by our very talented Italian lady Franz, and that is:

Now, don't you just love pastels?
I made a baby girl card, for once with no recipient in mind. I just wanted to color up this adorable image I've been wanted to use for a loooong time but Mo originally designed it with fairy ears and I thought it wouldn't be quite appropriate for a baby card. But since many of us thought the same, Mo has changed the fairy's ears with normal ones and now she's just perfect!:)

This sweet image is called Baby Fairy Flora and you can find it here in Mo's store. I did some quilling here too, just love the delicacy of quilled flowers. I also added some pearls in the center of the flowers and a baby girl charm from My Crafty Heart. The butterfly is a Cheery Lynn die.

Now, it's your turn to make something cute in pastel colors using a Mo Manning image, of course:) and then show it to us to be in the draw for a 5 $ shopping spree at Mo's! You know Mo is giving away one of these every 25 entries, so more chances for you to win!

Thank you so much for coming by my blog today! Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Baby Christening Card

Happy Thursday sweet friends!
It's my second post for the day, this time I'll show you a baby card I made a couple of weeks ago as a request; this is the first time I'm using a die cut precolored image. I bought some of those for quick cards, not for blog posting but this is a lovely card, so I thought I'll show it to you just for the design:) I;ve also colored it a bit to make the image brighter and I think it looks nice:)

Our challenge theme at Lili's Little Fairies is "All stitched Up", of course, you can actually stitch or do some faux stitching, both would be just perfect:)

My card recipe:
Image: LOTV - Die cut design (I think this image is redrawn at the moment)
DP: Cajoline Papers
Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, wood elements Cart-Us, charm/Bunny Zoe's,
Die-cutting: nestabilities Fleur-de-lys, Cheery Lynn exotic butterfllies 2, Tim Holtz alphabet strip die

That's it from me today, hope you will join us for this week's challenge over at Lili's Little Fairies, it's an easy theme and look forward to see what you come up with!

Thank you for coming by today, have a wonderful rest of the week!

Baby Christening Exploding Box

Hi, everyone and thanks for popping by! It's challenge day at Mo's Digital Pencil Too and I thought about making something other than a card for a change. This is going to be a gift for my newest godson; hope his mother doesn't follow my blog:). It's an exploding box; I used to make some of these in the past and seem to have forgotten they take a lot of time to put together and embellish. Well, I'm not a godmother every other day:)

Sorry for the pics, sometime I will have to sit and work on my camera settings, just that priorities are always other.

I left two more spots for other pics to be inserted. Those lovely fairies are all part of a set and a marvel to color, as my time was limited I chose them because besides the skin  there's so little to color up:). You can find them here in Mo's online store.

Here are some more pics:

Recipe:
DP: Cajoline Scrap- Easter Papers
Coloring medium: copics/promarkers
Embellishments: flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and IAM Roses; ribbon and lace/stash, feathers/stash, bling/WOC, acetate, crocheted baby boots and dummy
Die cuts: nestabilities- Fleur de Lys Squares, nestabilities- circle- grand and classic scalopped, Tim Holtz- Alphabet die strip- Upon a time, Cheery Lynn- exotic butterflies 2

I would like to enter my box in the following challenges:
Charisma Cardz -Use at least 5 different designer papers, Dutch Dare Card Challenge -For the Boys,  Crafts and Me -Dies/Punches, Fab 'n' Funky - Pastel Colors , Deep Ocean Challenge -For A Boy Card Mania - Fairies or ButterfliesKaboodle Doodles - Bling

Have I told you what this week's challenge was at Mo's? Not a chance to guess just by looking at my box:). It's BLING- those tiny sparkling cute beads we love adding to our  craft projects. Our sweet talented DT sister Kim is the hostess for this challenge and she made just the perfect choice. Who doesn't love bling?:)
So pick up a Mo image and some bling, make your own creation and share it with us at Mo's this week. You may be the lucky winner of a 5 dollar shopping spree at Mo's online store!
Hope many of you will join!

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Embossing at DP2 and a Baby Christening Box

Hi there sweet peeps! Hope you're having a great week; we are having a new challenge  this week at Mo's Digital Pencil Too, and our extremely talented DT sister, Tracy has chosen

 EMBOSSING

this time for us. I admit I rarely use embossing on my cards, I had to search for an hour my embossing plates, put somewhere "safe" as all the things I don't find. Now, you also have the choice of wet embossing, that's about using the heat gun, which I don't have; so those of you who use this technique please show us what you can make, with a Mo image on, of course!

A couple of months back I made a sort of baby Christening box for a boy, I thought then I should reiterate that because I liked the way it turned out. Someone asked me to make her something similar for a baby. Ok, I said, is that a boy or a girl? Just for a baby, she said because she just loved that one and would like to have one she could use in both cases. Well, I thought that was weird, but eventually I came up with this "neutral" purple (yes, I know it's rather girlie, but it's not pink, right?):):

I also made some quilled flowers, I think they are pretty and delicate and look beautifully on baby cards.

Card recipe:
Image; Mo Manning- Spit Happens
Backing paper: 300 gr printed cardstock, no DP; some paper made with stamps and embossed paper
Coloring medium: copics, promarkers
Flowers and embellishments: WOC flowers, quilled flowers, pearls and ribbon, Prima pins, feathers, wooden star from stash, clay bee
Misc: acetate

The baby pic can be inserted under the acetate. There are two sheets of acetate with the frame die cut between them. Here are some close-ups:

And the flower cluster:

That's it from me today, hope I've inspired you to male something similar:) With a baby pic in these look lovely!

This challenge is running for two weeks at Mo's Digital pencil Too; so plenty of time for you to join in! Also, please go take a look at the wonderful craetions of my DT sisters! I always look forward to see what they come up with every week!

And, don't forget, Mo is awarding a 5 dollar shopping spree  at her store here for one lucky winner in every 25 entries! Good luck to all and take care!

Something New at Digital Pencil Too

Hi there, sweet friends and welcome to a brand new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil Too! I am the hostess of this week's challenge so time for me to rack my brains and came out with :

Now, it's up to you to interpret that the way it suits you best, I was thinking of a new beginning, new baby, new year, new product, lots of possibilities here, just remember to use a Mo image on in order to enter the drawing for a  $5.00 gift voucher to Mo's online store here!

I made a new year greeting card  in black, red and gold, thought this would look lovely and festive and would make pop this truly adorable Mo image: New Year Baby Bella and Bronte

I just couldn't get around to take a good pic of this one; the golden papers are too shimmery and the red ones are also glossy.

Card recipe:
Image: Mo Manning-  New Year Baby Bella and Bronte
Coloring medium: copics/promarkers
DP: Cajoline Scrap-digital, the golden one is cut from a birthday hat
Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, leaves and metal corner, the bottle and glasses are confetti, and the buckle and ribbon are from stash

Hope many of you will join us at Mo's this week; plenty of gorgeous images are waiting for us to play with, so let's hope for a crafty 2013 and healthy as well to be able to enjoy them!
Big hugs to each one of you!

Anything Goes at Mo's Digital Pencil Too

Welcome sweeet peeps and Happy Saint Nicholas to everybody who celebrates this wonderful feast!

I have a short post today, I must get ready for guests coming by this evening! I have a Christmas card to show you today, naturally. Our challenge theme over at Mo's Digital Pencil Too is

Anything Goes!

so  no challenge at all..., just show us your card/project, with a Mo image on of course:)

I've been so willing to color up this gorgeous Mo image- With the Baby-  to the point I even made several cards with it, which is quite unusual for me:).I have lots of requests and no time to make these Christmas cards. Everybody wants them the last minute. People don't actually know how much time goes into each one of them. They just look at the card and say "WoW! This is gorgeous! Could you make me about 10 of these?:)))" As if it's a pice of cake:))

This is an easy card to make but nevertheless it took me about more than 1 hour and a half. So, think about making 10 of these for instance... and for tomorrow....lol.

I couldn't take a good photo as the papers are a bit glossy and the light reflects either on them either on the acetate on the window. The sentiment is in Italian as this is for one of my husband's customers in Italy.

I also added a small glittery star on the window. I was thinking about more things to draw, that would be an interesting idea. I think acetate is my favorite material this Christmas:). It's so versatile and looks awesome on cards.

Card recipe:
Image- Mo Manning- With the Baby
DP: Vintage Christmas- digital- from Jessica Sprague- awesome Christmas collection:)
Coloring medium: copics/promarkers
Die cuts: Grand Arched Window- Poppystamps- from Dies to die for, nestabilities- fancy tags and Persian Accents, Memory Box- Frostyville Border and Holly Flourish
Embellishments: flowers from IAM Roses, ribbon-stash
Sentiment : computer generated

I would also want to enter my card in the following challenges:
Crafts and Me - Anything goes,  Freshly Brewed -  Christmas, Whimsy Inspiration -  festive, Deep Ocean Challenge -Christmas, The Stamping Boutique - Holiday Cards,

This is a quite simple card to make at this time of the year; I love windows and doors on cards; I think they are a must in our ever growing...pffui...die cutting collection:)

Thank you all for coming by! It's a pleasure to hear from you all!

Baby Christening Box/Card

Hi there sweet peeps! I only realize how quickly time flies when we're having a new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil Too:). So, it's Thursday and  our monthly

challenge, perfect occasion to play with your Mo images without restraint!

I made a Christening box, this one was a request, gotta tell you I love the way it turned out so I might have to make something similar in the future:

I printed the images on 300 gr heavy cardstock and adhered them to another sheet of heavy cardstock before cutting them off. Thus,, they are really sturdy. I always add lots of cardstock in my layering, I don't want them to bend or anything, I think they'll also have to stand the test of time.
The Cherry Lynn heart die is placed between two acetate sheets then sewn to the card. I thought a picture of the baby would look nice beneath it. The images are all part of a set called Diaper Crew, I think they are all so sweet and funny.

There's a dummy attached to the ribbon but since it's blue one can hardly notice it:) The woodenm elements are all from a set I found at my local store. I think cream works beautifully with blue.

Supplies:
Images: Mo Manning- Diaper Crew
DP: The Paper Shelter- Love and Letter- digital
Coloring medium: copics,promarkers
Embellishments: dummy and wooden elements from local store- I think - Cart Us; ribbon, sparkiling rhinestone and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, flowers from IAM Roses
Die-cuts: Cheery Lynn-Heart to heart die,
Sentiment: computer generated- says: "Congratulations! Your baby boy was born! Be prepared for a love greater than life!" I just love this sentiment, so very true...

Here's a detail:

I would like to enter my box in the following challenges:
House That Stamps Built - Anything but a card, Bearly Mine - Flowers Galore, Creative Card Crew - Fancy Folds, Creative Craft Challenges -Special Occasion NOT Birthday , Die Cuttin' Divas - Anything Goes, Card Mania - Baby , Craft My Life - "Show what can you create",  Paper Shelter Challenge - anything goes
,

Hope you could find some inspiration in my Christening box,:), look forward to see what you will prepare for us this week! Don't forget, Mo has a 5$ gift to her store for every 25 entries! Wooohooo! So, what are you waiting for?:)

Thank you so much for your lovely words! Your feedback means the world to me!

LIli's Little Fairies- Anything Goes

Hi everyone!
My second post today is for
where we have an
ANYTHING GOES
theme, perfect time to play with our favorite stamps, no strings attached, no requirements.

I made a christening card this time, which looks really lovely IRL but I left home at the beginning of the week on a business trip and relied on hubby to take the pics. That's the reason why I'm late with this one, initially he sent me an incomplete card, then he realized he had to make a bow as I forgot to tie it up, so you can imagine the struggle he went through:))
So this is how a man made bows looks like ( no offense for the male crafters out there- he's not from that category:)):

I had to post it, I shall perhaps change the pic when I get home. You can take it from me it is a very cute card.

The inside is decorated to match the front . The papers are from different collections, some of them are digital. The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and the wooden elements from a local store. I also added some lace and seam binding from The Ribbon Girl.

And a pic of the inside:

Challenges:

Crafts and Me -Lace and Pearls, Little Red Wagon - Bow, Ruby's Rainbow -Cute and Cuddly, Bearly Mine - Anything Goes, Crafty Sentiments -Bows Or Ribbons, Everybody-Art-Challenge -Bling, Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Pink, Pearls & Lace, Kenny K`s Krafty Krew -Think Pink, A Gem of a Challenge - Flowers
Thank you for your visit! Hope many of you will join us at Lili's Little Fairies! Look forward to see your beautiful creations!
