Peace and Joy in Pastel Colors!

Hi again and thanks for looking at my second post for the day! We're having a brand new challenge over at Lili's Little Fairies as well:
Pretty Pastels
Now, that was supposed to be simple as I love pastels but somehow I couldn't manage to color up a Christmas image in pastels right now. I must admit I struggled with this one and at some point I really wanted to throw away everything but well, seemingly eventually it turned out quite well:). That's what challenges are for, isn't it?:):

Card recipe:
Stamps: Lili of the Valley- Moonlight Wishes, Magnolia- Winter Night Background
Embellies: flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, poinsettias from IAM Roses; snowflake, wooden stars, ribbon/stash
Die cuts: Marianne design label and pine branch, nestabilities label 8
Sentiment: DeeDee Designs

Thanks for coming by! Hugs to everyone!

This card is for sale for now in my Etsy store

Magnolia Autumn Card

Hello everyone! I feel like I haven't posted in a long time so I thought I'd share with you an autumn card I made a while ago. Since we are still enjoying fall here it's still not late to show it  to you.
I wanted to color up this Make It Crafty background, I think it looks lovely on an autumn card. The papers are all digital from Cajoline Scrap, love them.

It's been a while since I last posted a card which is not part of my DT commitments, I think I work quicker, if not better when there're no strings attached:).
This will be my last autumn card for the year, look forward to use these bright colors on my cards in 2013:). I really love them.

The sentiment is so very  true...

Just Magnolia DT - Another Fall Card:)

Hi there sweet friends! I think I went a bit overboard with autumn cards this year...lol, I think I should perhaps try out something else too, prove you I can do different...he he.
Still, looking back I realized I didn't make use of any stamp from the Turning Leaves Collection, so it was high time I did before the first snow....brrrrr.

This week we're having another simple theme for you at  Just Magnolia:

so we're hoping many of you will join in the fun! This week, we are sponsored by  Quixotic Paperie and  The Ribbon Girl with 10 pounds gift vouchers from each. Sounds great, isn't it?

If you look closer you can see I actually followed the theme:)):

It is a shaker card; I wanted it to be a bit different from my previous scenic cards so added small orange pearls inside; looks really lovely in flesh. I made some quilled flowers lately, I think they look nice on autumn cards. Here are some close-ups:

Ingredients:
Stamps: Magnolia- Turning Leaves Collection- Sunny Autumn Morning and Tilda with Daisy & Mushrooms
Coloring medium: copics, promarkers, chalks
DP: Basic Grey- Pyrus Collection
Embellishments: Woc flowers, quilled handmade flowers, mushroom made with gypsum mould, pearls from Bunny Zoe, leaves, beads and ribbon from local store
Die-cuts: Magnolia Doohikeys Fence and Bloomy Tag

This card is for sale in my Etsy Shop.

I want to enter my card in the following challenge:

Thank you all for visiting! It's great to hear from you!
Have a great weekend!

Tilda Singing Carols at Just Magnolia

Hi, everyone! It's Just Magnolia and Hanglar and Stanglar challenge day and a perfect occasion for me to ink up this lovely Tilda singing carols from the 2009 Magnolia Christmas Collection, but one of my favorite ever.

This week's theme at Just Magnolia is:
Twinkle Little Star - use stars on your project!

Hope you can see the stars:)! I admit this was a last minute addition; no idea why I made my card with this idea in mind that the challenge was something about dies and punches...lol. I must be getting old:))
This is a special Maggie, as Tilda actually uses her mouth...hehe, and people around me don't find her freakish for once. Nevertheless, Maggies are still among my favorite stamps.

Since I don't have a Magnolia door stamp, and I really think my Tilda needs a background for her performance, I used two Mo Manning digis and created a scene for her. Love the way it turned out!

My list of supplies:
Stamps: Magolia- Tilda Singing Carols
Mo Manning- Door with Wreath and Christmas Lamp Post
DP: Cajoline Scrap, Webster Pages
Coloring medium: copics, promarkers, chalks
Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts and tessel from Joanna Sheen
Misc: glitter, white fun flock
Sentiment: computer generated

Here's a peek of the inside too:

Hope you peeps will join us this week at Just Magnolia! Don't forget to add stars somewhere on your project though!

Magnolia Back to School Card

Hello, ladies! It's challenge day at
perfect moment for you to get to play with your Maggies and come up with a SCHOOL card/project, whatever suits you most.

Since I don't have a school themed Magnolia stamp, I altered a bit some other stamps I have and added some really lovely digital elements from Elizabeth Dulemba to make them look as  pupils:)

Since the stamps are cut out and then assembled I chose to add an acetate sheet onto protect it and for a neat look, hence the blurry aspect of the whole image. In flesh, it looks beautiful:)
Here's a look on the inside:

The quilled flower basket is one of my older creations, a souvenir from a time when I really had lots of time for myself:). I thought it looks nice on this card.
Here's a close-up:

and a little notebook sheet for some wording:

Happy Friday everyone! It's  time for a new challenge at Just Magnolia and Hanglar and Stanglar which is our regular Special Month Challenge which is sponsored as always by Simon Says Stamp.

Magnolia Pearl Tilda Summer Card

Hi there sweet friends! Can't believe this is my third post in 3 days, wow, that's requires a vacation or something...lol.
I wanted to create an underwater scene with this adorable Pearl Tilda using my favorite colors and since I love the way it turned out I wanted to share it with you:) Also, can't believe I actually make a card which is not part of my DT requirements...hehe.
I tried to merge the two stamps but after several attemps I thought the best way to have it done properly would be to cut out my Tilda and set it against the colored Make it Crafty background. I also stamped my Tilda first for the curls and bubbles I couldn't cut out, hope you like the result:

Here's a close-up of the upper right corner with real coral in the cluster:

Shall I compare thee...

Hello lovely peeps!
It's time for an Edwin challenge at Just Magnolia! I'm guessing not many of us are thrilled about that; putting aside all those lovely girly papers and lace and ribbons doesn't sound that much fun...hehe. So we also have the option for you to make a Father's Day project which, of course, may carry a Tilda image on:). Now, that sounds more interesting, isn't it?
I'm not a big Edwin fan, that's why my Magnolia collection only counts 3 Edwins, so  I chose this cute one with a lovely butterfly for my card today. I wanted it to be more romantic, it didn't turn out great but for an Edwin card it looks nice...lol.

And a close-up:

I chose not to add many layers, these DCWV papers are too beautiful to be covered. I just love them!

Supplies:
Medium: copics/promarkers
Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, ribbon  and metal buttrefly; button from Bunny Zoe- Almanach collection, Tim Holtz film strip.
Misc; distress ink- Walnut Stain, stickles, glitter, pearls
Dies: Magnolia- heart swirl
Sentiment: sonnet 18 by William Shakespeare written in Photoshop,

And a sneak peek of the inside. Just click on the photos to enlarge them so you can read the sonnet.

Tha's it from me today; hope you will join us for the Edwin/Father's Day challenge! Let's not forget there are so many boys in our lives and they deserve cards too!!!

Have a lovely weekend! Enjoy sun and quality time with your loved ones!
