Flourishes Guest Designer

Hi there sweet peeps! A few months ago I have been asked to be a Flourishes Guest Designer, one of those opportunities I really love to take on, since I've always admired an love these stamps seeing them on varous blogs. I really looked forward to actually play with them !
This week's challenge over at Flourishes is Black Accents. I nearly never use black on my cards, most people find it's a mourning color and I have problems using the right amount of it with the right embellishing. I wanted to make a spring card but black just wouldn't fit in. So I went for a Christmas card, way too early for Christmas I know:)

I know the gorgoeus image speaks for itself, but I really love adding embellishments, as you know:).This stamp is a part of a set called Winter Bouquet, you can fin it in the Flourishes Store.

Hope you will be joining us for our  "Black Accents" challenge this week at Flourishes! Look forward to see what you peeps may be coming up with, I surely need inspiration for using black! Denise, our challenge hostess says you can use black matting, black die-cut images, black ribbon, or try the popular "chalkboard" technique that's popping up all over the blogging world. So, it's up to you now!

The Flourishes Finest Design Team will be joining for this challenge.  Here is a list of the Flourishes DT:

Please take a look at their individual blogs!

Thank you so much for you visit! Have a wonderful day!

Anything Goes at Mo's and Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, sweet fellow crafters! Hope from the heart it will be happy, healthy and prosperous to all of us!
I'm not yet back on the track of things, I'm not even aware how this holiday flew away and I admit I didn't make a card especially for this first challenge of the year at Mo's Digital Pencil Too:
Luckily for me I've had several  cards done by the end of 2012 I haven't posted yet so here you go:

I've used again this gorgeous Urchin with bird by Mo Manning, of course,- an image I fell in love with and used more than once this Christmas and the papers are some stacked digital papers from Digital Scrap Boutique, I think all on sale by now. The window is cut with a Poppystamps grand arched window die and the fence is definitely Magnolia:).  I've added a mixed of Wild Orchid flowers and a wooden star I've previously painted and embellished and had the card done in quite a surprisingly short amount of time. I think I just had it all in my mind :). I've also planned adding some more white flowersoft at the bottom and around Urchin's feet but well, you just can imagine it would have looked better:)

This is it from me today, hope to be back with some new cards as soon as I have some inspiration; I admit it's been about 3 weeks since I last touched a copic and just cannot get around to put something together at the mom.
Bye bye for now! Wishing you all a wonderful week!
Big hugs,

Fave Mo Card for 2012

Hi everyone! It's time for our last challenge for 2012 at Mo's Digital Pencil Too and this time we would like you to look back at your creations and choose your favorite with a Mo image on of course and show it to us...again:) I know it's hard to choose, I just picked one which just  stuck with me, maybe because I love summer and warmth perhaps even more than the magic of winter and Christmas. So this is my favorite card for 2012:

Here's the link to my post, in case someone is interested in details. I just love this card!:)

I also have a new card to share with you. I kept this one simple in coloring, no shade or anything, these are cards I made the last minute and must admit I chose some images which required as little coloring as possible:)

Anything Goes at Mo's Digital Pencil Too

Welcome sweeet peeps and Happy Saint Nicholas to everybody who celebrates this wonderful feast!

I have a short post today, I must get ready for guests coming by this evening! I have a Christmas card to show you today, naturally. Our challenge theme over at Mo's Digital Pencil Too is

Anything Goes!

so  no challenge at all..., just show us your card/project, with a Mo image on of course:)

I've been so willing to color up this gorgeous Mo image- With the Baby-  to the point I even made several cards with it, which is quite unusual for me:).I have lots of requests and no time to make these Christmas cards. Everybody wants them the last minute. People don't actually know how much time goes into each one of them. They just look at the card and say "WoW! This is gorgeous! Could you make me about 10 of these?:)))" As if it's a pice of cake:))

This is an easy card to make but nevertheless it took me about more than 1 hour and a half. So, think about making 10 of these for instance... and for tomorrow....lol.

I couldn't take a good photo as the papers are a bit glossy and the light reflects either on them either on the acetate on the window. The sentiment is in Italian as this is for one of my husband's customers in Italy.

I also added a small glittery star on the window. I was thinking about more things to draw, that would be an interesting idea. I think acetate is my favorite material this Christmas:). It's so versatile and looks awesome on cards.

Card recipe:
Image- Mo Manning- With the Baby
DP: Vintage Christmas- digital- from Jessica Sprague- awesome Christmas collection:)
Coloring medium: copics/promarkers
Die cuts: Grand Arched Window- Poppystamps- from Dies to die for, nestabilities- fancy tags and Persian Accents, Memory Box- Frostyville Border and Holly Flourish
Embellishments: flowers from IAM Roses, ribbon-stash
Sentiment : computer generated

I would also want to enter my card in the following challenges:
Crafts and Me - Anything goes,  Freshly Brewed -  Christmas, Whimsy Inspiration -  festive, Deep Ocean Challenge -Christmas, The Stamping Boutique - Holiday Cards,

This is a quite simple card to make at this time of the year; I love windows and doors on cards; I think they are a must in our ever growing...pffui...die cutting collection:)

Thank you all for coming by! It's a pleasure to hear from you all!

Christmas Shaker Card

Hi there my sweets and for those of you in America celebrating Thanksgiving this week : "Happy Turkey Day!"

This week's theme at Mo's Digital Pencil Too is:

Don't be SQUARE!,

meaningly "try to make a card or project other than our usual square type". This was not quite comfortable for me as I'm too lazy to cut out different shapes and bother racking my brains on how to pt them together, I prefer cutting straight lines. Plus, since I replaced my Big Shot with a Cuttlebug I cannot cut larger Go Kreate dies :(. Big mistake buying the Cuttlebug too:(
So, I cut with my scissors the largest shapes on this one, a quite tedious thing to do. Still, I think it's a lovely card, I'm quite fond of this new little girl from Mo's Ragged Collection ( you can find it here in Mo's store)and I like how the shaker part turned out too:

In order to create the window I used a Poppystamps window die; cut two of these and I mounted the front one on pads with acetate sheets underneath. Then I filled in with some sandy glitter. The window is a bit blurry, not too much, just perfect to create the idea of frosted windows. Here's a pic with  a colorful image  behind the card:

And here is a pic when folded:

Recipe:
Image: Mo Manning- Ragged Maggie
DP: Vintage Christmas - digital from Jessica Sprague, cardboard/stash
Die-cuts: Grand Arched Window/Poppystamps and shutters/Poppystamps, Memory Box- Holly Flourish, Go Kreate- labels 8, nestabilities- scalopped ovals
Embellishments: flowers from WOC, charms and other embellies from stash
Misc: glitter, stickles, Twinklets and polar white flowersoft
Sentiment: Whimsy Stamps

Some challenges for my card:
Delightful Challenges -Red & green, Dutch Dare Card Challenge -Fancy folds, Crafty Creations - Christmas Is Coming, Ruby's Rainbow - Shaped cards, Whimsy Inspiration -Traditional Christmas colors, Craft Room Challenge -Punches & Die Cuts , Crazy Amigo Challenge -  Colours Of Winter, Going Grey With Scrap-Creations -Winter, Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge Winter Holiday, Papelitos Stamps Anything Goes, Try It On Tuesday -Christmas Sparkle, Crafty Bloggers Network-Christmas Anything Goes,

That's it from me today! Now... please make sure you take a minute to  pop on over to Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog HERE to check out the gorgeous projects created by my lovely and talented DT sisters! Then, please join the fun this week at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog! Just remember to use one (or more) of Mo Manning's images (you can find them in Mo's online store HERE).  Don't forget: Mo is giving away one $5.00 voucher at her online stores for every 25 entries! (selected by Random.Org, of course), so why not take a plunge?
