Hi everyone!
I've been looking forward to make a card using one of the new Sugar Nellie digis I bought from Funky Kits and only today had I found 2 extra hours (while my little one was sleeping:) for this circle easel card featuring Verity. I followed the sketch and the color inspiration photo at the Sugar Bowl as required to enter the challenge. I aimed at a distress look of my card and it was a bit difficult to meet all the requirements (colors and sketch) at the same time. Still, I'm quite satisfied with the result:). These Sugar Nellie images are so cute and easy to color! Love them and look forward for the new March release!
So, this is my card:
I took both night and daylight pictures but I'm not satisfied with any of them. As always, the card is prettier than in the picture:).
I haven't made a circle easel card before and I had to cut the circles manually as I don't have extra large circle dies. I added lace to alter a bit the blunt look and distressed a bit the edges.
Ingredients:
Stamp: Sugar Nellie - Verity
Medium; copics (E50, E51, R20, E33,37,47, B02,41,BG10, C1,3)
Papers: Raspberry Road - Josephine Papers and Marianne Design
Flowers: Magnolia Flower dies, Wild Orchid Crafts roses
Sentiment: Mo Manning
Misc.: ribbon, raffia from a gift bottle of wine (I wonder if there are recycle challenges running these days:)), Robin Nest dew drops, lace from stash (i wish I hadn't inked the lace with antique linen because it looks kind of dirty instead of antique ...lol), stickles.
Challenges for this card are:
Thanks for coming by again! I hadn't expected so many comments upon my last card and I was overwhelmed by your kindness! Thank you all so much!
Have a great week!
