FBD November Hop Day 3

Good  Morning!

Today is day 3 of our November
(and last for 2012)
Blog Hop and Stamp Release!
If you haven't started hopping yet, click  HERE TO START.
If you are hopping and are looking for my DAY 1 Post - GO HERE
If you are wanting to check out my DAY 2 POST GO HERE

I chose to use the NEW RUBBER STAMP
for both of my projects today:

For this card I used scraps and hoarded paper pieces. The bg shimmery paper has been hoarded for a few years now. I have already forgotten who has sent it to me - but I have treasured it and was so happy to finally use it. The gingham paper is from a 6x6 stack called Kitchy Kitchen. the little clouds are by Papertrey Inc. The sentiment was printed using word. They were colored using prismacolor and bic markers.

Next up is another fun card using these little Love Birds

the bg paper is by American Craft - I do- Dahlias
THe image was colored using prismacolor markers. The ribbon is from my stash - again- YEARS old. The gray cardstock is by the paper company. I used xmas red stickles for the little heart and  I used glue dots and the fun flock transfer papers for the red dots. This card was created using the sketch at i{heart}2stamp

You can WIN some of the felt /  flocking paper just by hopping and commenting! What are you waiting for? Get started now!!!

Thank you for stopping by today.
I hope you have a very lovely and blessed Monday.

Have an Owlsome Fall Blog Hop day 2

Welcome to the
Have An Owlsome Fall Y'All
Blog Hop!

If you arrived here from Teresa's Blog, then you are on Track!

We are so happy to have you join us today! The hop starts at Heather Lynn's blog so please start there.  You won't want to miss out on any of these wonderful projects! This is a 2 day hop and the line up will be different each day.  Please start HERE today (9/22) and tomorrow (9/23), so we can send you in the right direction!

Our first "Well Owl Be" Blog Hop went over so well, we decided to do an owl themed hop 4 times a year! Our next hop will be right before Christmas and we hope you will come back and join us then, too!

One grand prize winner will win a Cricut cartridge and a stamp set sponsored by Erica's Craft Room! Thank you, Erica, you are so generous! Please be a follower and leave a comment at all of the stops in the hop for the chance to win. There will also be other blog candy along the way!

For my project I created a fun little altered clipboard.

This was just freehand drawn and painted. I masked off part of the board and spray painted it with chalkboard paint, then I masked off the outer edge and painted it white with plain ol' acrylic paints. The doodling was created using a black sharpie marker.

and last but not least is a card I created using the

The kids and I were playing around with watercolor paints the other day, and they started flicking it on their paper making patterns. I decided that would make a really cool bg paper for my little Owl digital stamp that was designed in the Fall of 2011.

It was fun flinging paint everywhere :))

I am giving away a prize pack of 5 owl digis to one lucky hop participant.

Now make sure to head over to Nana's Blog Next.

Link Up For Pink

to sponsor the newest challenge at Link Up For Pink.
The challenge is to create ANY BREAST CANCER AWARENESS PROJECT and link it up!!!
For more details check out the post here: LUFP Challenge No. 6
For this challenge I created a few fun little bags.
I have a fear of anything DIFFERENT so this was something that
took me WAY out of my comfort zone.
I truly had so much fun creating htem though, and thank the LUFP girls for allowing me
to join in the designing fun this week.
Coffee Take Me Away Rubber Stamp

I spritzed this bag with TSUKINEKO antiquing solution in walnut,
I stamped my Coffee Take Me Away with brilliance ink in coffee bean (of course!)
The image was colored using prismacolor color pencils
Save the Hooters Stamp Set

This was a lot of fun!!! I grabbed my fabric glue and got completely carried away!
The bra and top of the bag are covered in a soft delicate patterned fabric. IT was so hard
to cut it and not let it fray! I added some pretty rick rack to the top at an angle to
gift it a fun and sweet feel. The owls are colored with prismacolor markers.
The images are stamped archival permanent ink.
The winner will receive
Coffee Take Me Away stamp, a set of
4 muslin cotton bags, and 5 digital stamps (winner's choice).
One winner takes all!

Thank you for stopping by today!
Big Smiles,
Heather

Well Owl Be!!!

We are having a NEW DIGI RELEASE at Fresh Brewed Designs AND a new month long prize challenge has been posted to Freshly Brewed Challenges. Stop by the blog to see what we have all been up to :)

For our new summertime theme challenge I created a few cards for you using 4 of the new digis

I had so much fun with this card! I kept the owls white to change things up a bit. My go to is normally brown for some reason. I think they are totally adorable in white. The little mommy (or daddy) owl is taking the kids to the pool for some summer floating fun! They are all fussy cut and colored with prismacolor markers.
This card is one of those clean and simple and over-thought cards. I over-think easy cards :)
I used some OLD handmade paper, kraft cardstock, deep brown cardstock, twine from Fresh Brewed Designs( Mocha Latte Brown and Petal Pink and White) and twine from the Twinery in flax
this card was fun to make. I used all scrap papers
The flower was quilled (I have not quilled in YEARS so be kind!) I added stickles to it to make it sparkle.
I wanted it to sortof look like a pinwheel  or firework so I hope it came across that way.
The background is embossed with a snowflake embossing folder but I hoped it would sortof look like fireworks too :))

Boo Who Gift Set

Good Morning.
This will be a quick post as I am headed out the door to my moms house.
The kids are having a 'fun Friday' where they get to make crafts and things.
A few weeks ago they learned knitting (for Han) and Crochet (for TR) basics and loved it

I have a few digis printed off for TR that he picked out from Simply Betty Stamps. He is going to be a vampire for Halloween (oh help me!) ha! and found a little digi deal that works perfectly for him. Hannah picked out a few for herself to. She fell in love with Fall Frolic Betty (we had to find one that did not have a skull, which was a little hard, lol)  If you do not already know, her son has been diagnosed with throat cancer and they are having a card drive / donation for him. You can check more at their blog HERE but please scroll down. I found it at the bottom of the blog and could not link to it as it was a sticky post.

OK, I just got a phone call asking for EYEBALLS.
My kids are at my moms and they  need eyeballs
They created ANGRY birds from Styrofoam balls, modeling clay, feathers ... and they need eyeballs :D

Now for my post...
I created these cards for our lovely Mrs. Laura at CFPAA *Han's dance school*
She is one of the *super heros* who work behind the scenes as well as handles things at the counter *where the parents get the chance to drive them crazy ~ myself included in the 'parents' statement :D*

I hope she likes them.
It is a set of 4 cards using the newly released digi

These cards were  created using
MME Garden Viingettes designer paper, prismacolor markers and lots of love

I am entering this into the following challenges:

more to be added later, Gotta run!!! :D

A Poem and a Challenge

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
I love Coffee
How 'Bout You?
(hehehe kidding...)

Realignment
by Karen Suriano

the spying eyes of sunrise find
me stumbling bumbling to the kitchen blind
coherent thought is undermined
sleep slugs, grey matter intertwined
lurch on undaunted, the freezer is mined
of roasted nirvana for electric grind
scoop and measure the unrefined
then water, heat and bean combined
hiss and gurgleshout most unkind
but aroma kisses with peace of mind
before first sip, much was maligned
but after, my outlook is realigned

11/08/2005

SMOOOOCH!

Kiss The Cook

This card is for 2 challenges: Spoon Full of Sugar: kitchen/cooking and 2RedBananas recipe: Red, a square and 3 buttons. I used my newly released Kiss the Cook owl for this card. He has been colored for over a month now and as soon as I saw these challenges he popped right into my head. I am very happy with the way this card came out. It is simple but still works.
So, maybe as you can see I am lost for words tonight. My friend is on my mind and I really can not think of anything else... so you are off the hook and do not have to read a long post:). Have a wonderful night (or day whatever it is where you are). Big Warm Hugs!!!

freebie offer of Mr. Corn is over .. but I will still let you have him today (October 30) if you want to email me :)
Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Twinkle Twinkle

Hi:)! I know I used all my 'breath' typing my last post, but I will do what I can here:). This is my first time making a card for the Get Sketchy challenge. I have drawn them and intended to do them... but something always happened. I used my little Night Owl from Fresh Brewed Designs. He will be released soon... this week even if I decide to :). Our big release at Doodle Street and our shops is going to be held on Octover 7th. We will have a blog hop the Sat and Sunday prior to the release, so be sure to mark the dates!!! We may extend the hop.. that is all still under construction:). The release date and the prizes still stand though. anywho ~ This card was a challenge for me! NO PATTERNED PAPER?!?! I had colored him in BEFORE I chose my paper (not good sometimes) and was a little stumped. I did my best with what I had. I hope you like him.

Thanks for stopping by:)!
