All SMILES

Hi everyone!!! I am so glad it is almost Friday!!! This week has been odd, not sure how to take it, lol! I hope we will have a restful and fun weekend ... hopefully my DH will not have to work. :/

The first card is created using the sketch provided at Eat Sleep Stamp today. The kids were 'happily' doing their schoolwork when I slipped away to write down my Thursday challenges hoping to have time to create. When I logged on to this particular blog, I was so shocked to see My name and My card as her featured for last weeks sketch! That hot flushed blushing feeling came over me (so funny!) and I just smiled. My day was officially made! I chose to use my Queen for a Day image for this weeks card. She is a digi image and can be found in my shop, Fresh Brewed Designs. I also created this card using the challenge provided at a new challenge blog called I Love Digis. My wonderful friends Dee and Callie are members there and I am so happy for them! The other challenges I am entering this card to are Crafty Creations: Stitching, Digital Tuesday: Girly, Papertake Weekly: Gingham or checks (ribbon and paper) and The Pink Elephant: Ribbon.

The next little card is featuring another of my little digi images, Rainy Day Butterfly. The challenges for this card include:
Spoon Full of Suger: Springtime
Digital Tuesday: Girly
Belli Challenge: Butterflies or Dragonflies
Crafty Creations: Stitching
Get Sketchy sketch
Our Creative Corner: Something old but new from stash (3 year old paper never cut... :/)

It's a BEAUTIFUL Mornin'

Welcome to the Busy Beauties Boutique Blog Hop!!!
If you came here from KELLY's blog and have already commented on her BEAUTIFUL work, then you are in the right place. IF not, go back a few steps and start with BARBARA. For those of you who are in the right place, then read on!!! :)

I am so excited to share some of these GORGEOUS images with you today. When I got the email with the January releases, I could not pick my jaw up off the floor. They are a mix of cute, fun and fab!!! Thomas and Carolyn really went all out this time!!! Notice I said "and Carolyn"?? Carolyn has been hiding behind her talent and has finally shared some of her very own art with us!!!

For this hop ~We will run the hop through the weekend, and winners will be selected on Sunday night, January 10th. ~There will be one grand prize winner of three digis of his/her choice and a winner from each blog to win an image of his/her choice. An added prize will be awarded to one person who leaves a comment on each blog...that person will be able to either choose five images from the store or join us in our February New Release Blog Hop; in which case, he/she will receive all the images for that particular release.

Now on to my cards. I created the first one using the 2S4Y sketch. I loved the sketch when I saw it and had several ideas for it. After I got my Runway Beauty all colored, I knew she would be perfect for it!!! I chose a brown and red scheme and added a funky ribbon that I hand stitched and added the felt and acrylic heart embellies. I really think this card is a mix of fun, sexy and pretty all in one. I am actually proud of this card. I am not good at working with ribbons, but I love how this turned out!

Runway Beauty

Challenges: 2S4Y, Digital Tuesday: Valentine,
Crazy 4 Challenges: dots, Spoon Full of Sugar: hearts,

The next card is created featuring Cuppa Love. I think this image is just flat out adorable. I love all the marshmallows!!! Totally the cup of cocoa I would have. Don't skimp the marshmallows please!!! :) The sweet peppermint stick and fun design on the mug itself is just an added bonus. I really enjoyed creating with this image.

Challenges: Digital Tuesday: Valentine,
Spoon Full of Sugar: Hearts, Belli Challenge: Glitter or Bling

Now on to the last card I will be sharing with you today. This card was created using the image Hot Stuff! Don't you just LOVE it?!?! Lol!!! I kept this one clean and simple. I plan to give this one to my hubby for all the work he has put into doing the Wii fit and trying to be healthier. He started off with a Wii age of 54, then 44, and now he is 34. This is all within 2 weeks. I told him the other day he will be in his 20's in no time! ;) LOL! I have actually enjoyed it myself. The yoga and aerobics are fun, but I am NOT good at the balance games. I will take on anyone with the hula hoop!! I have got that one down baby! lol!!!

Challenges: Our Creative Corner: Clean and Simple,
Digital Tuesday: Valentines, Spoon Full of Sugar: Hearts

Lastly I want to share with you a card my daughter created all by herself using A Fose from Rosey. I think it turned out so sweet! was a busy bee that day, I think she created 8 or so cards, lol! I am so proud of her and love to see her using her artistic talentes. Now to get her to stpo doodling all over her schoolwork ;)!!!

A Rose from Rosey

Now that I have bored you to pieces, I want you to leave me and head on to the every so SWEET and TALENTED and WONDERFUL STACY. She is sure to knock your socks off with her fabulous creations. ((and I just love her! :) ))

Have fun with the hop! I will see you back on Monday, January 11 with my winner!

It was an honor and pleasure to work with such a talented group of ladies and to create with Carolyn and Thomas' images. Thanks for letting me be a part of this with you.

SMOOOOCH!

Kiss The Cook

This card is for 2 challenges: Spoon Full of Sugar: kitchen/cooking and 2RedBananas recipe: Red, a square and 3 buttons. I used my newly released Kiss the Cook owl for this card. He has been colored for over a month now and as soon as I saw these challenges he popped right into my head. I am very happy with the way this card came out. It is simple but still works.
So, maybe as you can see I am lost for words tonight. My friend is on my mind and I really can not think of anything else... so you are off the hook and do not have to read a long post:). Have a wonderful night (or day whatever it is where you are). Big Warm Hugs!!!

freebie offer of Mr. Corn is over .. but I will still let you have him today (October 30) if you want to email me :)
Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Dance

For this card I used the sketch provided on Spoon Full of Sugar. The image, well, you guessed it, another hand drawn image that I plan to add to my shop soon. I have loved watching Hannah in her ballet classes. She just lights up and dances so gracefully. Much different than the moody thing that lays on the couch and grouches half the morning, gets happy and then has to start school ~ grouchy again, gets over it, happy, goes to play ~ happy, fights with brother ... and the list goes on. :) Man I dread the teen years and when the 'mood swings' really hit. I will need LOTS of prayer:). No, really, she is the most amazing little girl around ;). She is so funny and so smart and has a wonderful heart. I am so very blessed. God has turned her life around with her eczema and all the things that troubled her last year up until around August of this year. I can not tell you how amazing it was Wed night when she did not want to sleep with socks on her hands. REALLY? It has been 5 years!!! And last night too ... she did not wake up screaming and needing them. I am so happy for her. I know she will be much more comfortable without them.

OK, sorry. I guess I am a bit of a chatterbox this morning. While Hannah thinks this looks more like her friend Crystal at her ballet class, Hannah was the inspiration for this image. I do hope you like it as much as I do. I know it is because I see Hannah when I look at it .. but it just makes me smile and feel warm and peaceful inside.

I am off. I hope you all have a wonderful Friday!!! I am having an image release and blog hop and prizes NEXT FRIDAY October 23. Mark your calendar and share part of your day with us:).

Sweet as Cupcakes

I made this card for the Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge as well as the Lili of the Valley Challenge.

To create this card I used Jena Baking by the little paper shop, KC and Co paper, Bazzil CS, prismacolor markers, paper piecing, paper piercing, twine hand stitching, dew drops, and prima RAK flowers for this card. Sorry this post is so rushed. :( Having a busy kind of day :).

CHOCOLATE!

I made this card for Spoon Full of Sugar challenge {hearts} using the sketch provided on Friday Sketchers. I chose to use a RAKed Riley image for this. My sisters bday is today and the past few cards have been made with her in mind (the last coffee one and this chocolate one). I colored my Riley with prismacolor markers and stamped the Inkadinkado sentiment in brillinace graphite black. The papers are once again from my scrap pack. The felt hearts are by american crafts.

Hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Sunday.

Happy Birthday Becky!!!

Wheeeee!

Doesn't Riley look like he is having the best time!! :) This is the first time I inked him up and have had him for about 8 months. I was so happy to get him out and use him today. I made this card for he sweet thing Sunday sketch challenge, the spoon full of sugar challenge, as well as the Friday challenge on the SCS Hanna stamps forum. I actually made this card before I knew of the theme challenge there... so how lucky was that?!?! lol! I colored my Riley with my Bic makers, used OLD paper from my stash .. my first paper I ever bought I think. The CS is by Bazzil. Sorry this is so short, I am feeding the kiddos and trying to get some things done around here. :)

Cute as a Bug!

I think this little girl is just SO CUTE! I really had fun coloring her and am very happy with the way my prismacolor pencils worked this time (like it is up to them and not me :D) I guess I just need a little more practice and should not give up on them so soon. I made this card for Friday Sketchers as well as Spoon Full of Sugars butterfly challenge. I am off to sit a while with my hubby before "Monday" comes. It will not be a bad one though since Granny is down for a visit and I know we will be spending a lot of time with her and enjoying her as much as possible. I hope you all had a relaxing and blessed weekend. Thanks for stopping by :o)

3 in 1

OK, I rarely do this. Quite honestly i did not intend to use this for 3 challenges, it just 'happened'. I have had little time this week for crafting. I have had a good time with my hubby and kids so that is ok. Maybe I will be able to catch up this weekend since I will be stuck in the house for Bike Weekend. It comes every May and my husband gets a lot of overtime... but we are always SO HAPPY to greet the month of June. May is always SO BUSY. I am rambling ... listening to the kids in the background, the dishwasher running, the dryer squeaking (need to fix that, hahaha!) and Little Bill on the TV. My coffee is beside me and I am just calm and not able to think enough to write an interesting post. :) Sorry.

I am submitting this card to the papertake weekly sketch, to the spoon full of sugar challenge, as well as the pink elephant challenge this week. I paper pieced the sweet baby carriage (by Anita's) with my scrap papers in my big office depot box FULL of scraps, and Bazzil cardstock. I had been making barbie clothes for my daughter yesterday and saved a scrap from the old curtain to use for the baby blanket.

I wanted to share with you with a pic of my sweet boy praising God this past Sunday. he does this sometimes, but he held his arm up through the entire praise and worship service. My arm started hurting watching him. He held it high and sang. It was so sweet and I was so proud to see him praising God.

And I will leave you with this. I know all of you have prayed and been there for my daughter in so many ways. Thank you for your love, support, and well wishes. I have to tell you a little about what God has done for her. She continued to get the same infection over and over. I was a wreck and realized i had not fully given her, this to God. I was spoken to through a sermon 2 Sundays ago. God told me i had been given a promise, but I felt in my heart that it would never come. I felt unworthy and that he would not to this for me, for my daughter. I had been holding onto a 'dead' promise. He spoke of how sometimes you feel like when you pray it feels like your words are hitting the ceiling and coming right back to you. All lies Satan was using to manipulate and deceive me. At the end the pastor asked what you do with a dead promise. he said you can either hold on to it, bury it, or take it back to the promise giver. I carried my daughter and laid her at the foot of the cross. I gave her back to God and we prayed and praised together. My mom told me to leave it there and not to take it back home with me. I did just that for the first time. I came home feeling good. no weight, no anxiety. I had moments throughout the next days, but I told Satan to get behind me and continued to move forward. Since that day she has done nothing but get better and better. She is happy, her skin is clearing up, the infection is gone. God healed my baby and I just wanted to take this moment to thank him and share this with you. God is so good!

Buzzy Friends

This card is for this weeks spoon full of sugar challenge :

Our Challenge this week is
Doodle Doo
We would love to see some doodling on your cards. This could be hand drawn or if you have scrolls and swirl stamps you can also use these.

I also tried my hand at the House mouse challenge again. I really was not happy with my first, but have this obsessive need to share everything I create with you all .. good or bad! :o) I used the Happy Hoppers Buzzy Friends for this challenge. I colored them with my prismacolor pencils and bic markers. I also added yellow fun felt to these 'bees' bodies. As for my doodles, I doodled all the bee dashes and the little bees. I thought it turned out cute. Hope you like it too.
