Kiss The Cook

This card is for 2 challenges: Spoon Full of Sugar: kitchen/cooking and 2RedBananas recipe: Red, a square and 3 buttons. I used my newly released Kiss the Cook owl for this card. He has been colored for over a month now and as soon as I saw these challenges he popped right into my head. I am very happy with the way this card came out. It is simple but still works.
So, maybe as you can see I am lost for words tonight. My friend is on my mind and I really can not think of anything else... so you are off the hook and do not have to read a long post:). Have a wonderful night (or day whatever it is where you are). Big Warm Hugs!!!

where the heart is

this card was made for the inspiration challenge on 2RedBananas. I used my cricut for many cuts on this card. The houses, heart, and words are all cut with my Cricut Design Studio program. i hand cut the tree / hill background, chalked the blue bg paper and drew doodle lines. All in all it was a fun and simple card to create. I am in a hurry ~ sorry for the fast post. Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. :)

Summer Vacation

OK, so everyone is getting back to school and Summer Vacations are all coming to an end. Such a sad sad day :(. However, i will be happy when our city calms down a little and we can hit WalMart on a Sunday without having to stand in line for an hour :) sigh. Now to wait for the constant "why aren't you in school, are you sick?" every time we go out. lol. These cards were made on Friday? but I have not had time to post them. We had a super busy weekend I have just been too tired at night to post. I was excited to have time this morning only to realize 2 of the challenges i created this for ended today, HA! oh well. I am using these cards for the Papertake Weekly 100th post challenge: May 200- Animal antics. I used last weeks sketch provided on The Little Paper Shop for the first card as well as the color challenge on our creative corner. I used last weeks sketch for 2 red bananas for the second card. I am also submitting these cards to the Cute Card Thursday challenge : Lazy Dayz. Hope you like them both. Can't wait to see you tomorrow with our new ICS sketch!

This card is another 2 in 1. I made this card using the Pink Elephant sketch as well as the challenge on 2 Red Bananas: sticker letters. I used basic occasion card stock, raked patterned paper, See Dee's cupcake stamp and the stickers are by Making Memories. I colored the image with my prismacolor markers and added stickles to the icing.

This card was made using a digi image called cool cat. I found it on the SCS digi stamp forum last week. then again here for you all :). There is also a pig holding a 'shell' phone. They are cute! I made this card for the 2redbananas challenge this week which was an inspiration challenge. I hope you like it. I am having a love hate relationship with it. I should have used my markers, but was wanting to try something new. I got out my 'real' watercolor paints and paintbrush and played around with it. It felt nice to actually paint again. That is my first true love (not watercolor ... acrylic). So even if this card could have turned out better, I still enjoyed making it and that is what it is all about right?

You're Sweet

This weeks challenge for 2redbananas is to make a card that reminds you of summertime. I have made alot of those lately haven't I? ;) So here is one that is NOT beach themed this time. Shocked? I know... it will sink in eventually though ;). I chose to use some digi images (I have been backtracking to see who makes them but can not seem to find them :(. I will not give up and as soon as I do I will link it!) The sentiment actually said "You're a sweet friend" but I cut it so it would fit this card better than it did in full. It has been SOOO hot here the past week(s) Close to the 100s and a heat index of 110! Really !!! YUCK! I dread August now, that is for sure! :o) Another reason I chose this image. What better way to cool off than an ice cream cone. If you dont like or cant have ice cream. .. make someone else one and stand in the freezer for a moment like I do (grin). We were able to take the kids to the pool for fathers day and we cooled off then. The water was so nice and it was shaded at that time of day. I have to also share that the ocean was so calm it was almost eerie. I took several pics, there was only one wave breaking right on the edge. The rest of the ocean was completely still. No waves, nothing. It was something I have never seen before. Beautiful, yet kindof creepy. I wondered at that moment if Christ was returning ... really! I wish you could have seen it in person. OK, Back to the card: I colored the ice cream cones with my prismacolor pencils and OMS. The papers are all scraps or RAKS. The BG pink and brown paper is by American Crafts. I used my swiss dots cuttlebug folder and my Martha Stewart border punch for this card. I also used the sketch created by Sketch Saturday for this card. It was a beautiful sketch, don't you agree?

OK, can anyone tell I am hem hawing and writing a bunch of babble? For one I NEED my coffee and another I am literally bouncing off the walls. I really can not even begin to tell you how excited I am!!! Adela added a comment to one of my cards today that told me to check out the Hanna forum on SCS. I did, hands shaking the whole time, and guess what?!?! I got chosen to move on to round 2 in their guest DT call! YAY!!!! I am beaming! Shocked, embarrassed, amazed, humbled... so many emotions all in one night! WOW!!!! I really will not be able to sleep tonight. I just can not believe I was chosen!
